Thank you to the hotel for making our stay in Budapest more pleasant. Friendly and helpful staff. Delicious buffet breakfast, fresh food was waiting for us even at the last minute. Cozy and clean room with a beautiful view of the river. Fresh towels every day. Spacious wellness with pleasant pools. Parking is possible in front of the hotel, 12€/day.

The bathrobes we had in the room were of one size, rather smaller for ladies. Would like to add a larger size for men.

The decor on the ground floor and in the dining room is really modern and looks great. The staff are friendly. Good hotel room view of the Danube river and Margaret Island. The spa is open for most of the day and you can attend fitness classes, such as core or yoga, that are included in the price. The steamroom is quite hot. The hotel is located on the outskirts of the city but is still a quiet and safe area to walk around in. There is a small supermarket down the road. It only takes less than 10 mins to reach the busier parts of the city. Despite renovation work being carried out during my visit, the hotel is in a quiet location.

Breakfast is good, yet it was the same choice for most of my stay. Wish there were hash browns available. You can ask the staff to cook you an omelette from scratch.

The view of the Danube river, the hotel staff, very friendly and helpful, the room is quite big with a comfortable bed including all necessary amenities, daily room cleaning, excellent choice for breakfast, spa, pools and gym are great. The restaurant at the hotel is good with fair prices. The hotel is located a couple of kilometers from the city center, if you like to walk, you will need about 30 minutes right on the river embankment. The hotel has a big parking lot with a daily rate for their guests.

The windows in the room cannot be opened, except partially one small window, maybe due to safety reasons, but it would be nicer to open it completely for the view towards the river.

Breakfast was rich and very nice with view of Danube river, Spa is comfortable with 3 pools with different temperatures for each tast. Sauna is also very nice and clean. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is just 3 min away from the bus station and it takes 20-25 min to city center. Renovated parts are really very nice, comfortable and clean - way to go in improving the hotel :) Rooms are equipped with coffee maker and fridge wich is also really nice.

we have booked one of the cheaper, still not renovated rooms, and there were some traces of mold on the buthtub edge As announced, there are renovation works on upper floors, and I've expected to hear it, but not already starting at 7 am - it wasn't loud, but you could notice that works are taking place

Overall good value, but not the most modern looking rooms. Reception area / lobby is modern and apparently renovated. Nice view over Danube. WiFi works well.

Don't stay here if you plan to use the room during the day as there's some construction noise where they're finally renovating the 1990's looking rooms. Only bathtub shower. Low ceilings are not my thing.

Excellent variety of heated pools and love that they have quiet hours where kids aren't allowed. Nice view of the river from the room. Good selection at breakfast. Easy luggage storing facilities. 5 minute walk to the M3 metro line. Good size fridge to store a few drinks and chocolate. Will stay here again next time.

Room was a little warm for my liking as the towel heater/radiator in the bathroom was always on. Couldnt seem to turn the air conditioning on to a lower temperature.

I am staying at this hotel all time when I travel to Budapest. They are renewing the rooms, the lobby is updated and really nice and SPA facilities are great. Good breakfast, kind staffing, safe parking, confortable rooms, good location nearby Danube and old city town.

Some floors are in renewing phase and there are some working arround (it was not too disturbing for us). On the other hand, my Danubius loyalty card was expired and I need to send some mails to somebody to re-activated it. I was expecting to be done there, at the front desk, not spending time with mails and paper works, but this is not related to the overall impression which is a good one.

Loved the breakfast. The lobby and the reception look modern, also the swimming pools are nice!

I didn’t like the room so much. it had a very old decor,like in the 70’. but it was clean and quiet. Also the rooms with a view are a scam. We got a room with a small window and there was no impressive view, just some tree branches. big scam selling rooms with a good view when there is no such thing.

This year I had two stays, April and May, at Hotel Helia before and after a conference at the Balaton lake. I keep coming back to Hotel Helia, where I have stayed many times over the years. It has all of what I appreciate, a delightful swimming pool, hot water baths, sauna, water fitness, massage and much more. Very good buffet breakfast in the main restaurant, and also a good bistro restaurant with tasty dishes for snacks and simple meals, a comfortable terrace, walking areas just outside the hotel by the Danube with many chairs, benches and even reclining chairs at the quay to rest on if needed. Very good central location with excellent bus service just outside the hotel and a supermarket opposite the the hotel. Only about 45 minutes by taxi to airport. Coffee, tea and fridge in the room and more. Although the hotel has been through renovation it has been done nicely and is still an excellent hotel having value for money considering all the amenities.

The check-in procedure is quite strict, only from 3 PM, but luggage room is available. The check-in procedure seemed a bit tedious and lengthy, but check-out was smooth and quick

Disappointing experience at the restaurant Food lacked authenticity and flavor. Staff's attitude towards customers needs improvement for a more positive dining experience.
