Hotel is in a great location. Beautiful reception areas. Very friendly and helpful staff. All very clean. Bed and pillows very comfortable. Air conditioning worked really well, easy to adjust.

The room was compact, about 18 inches at one side of the bed and 24 inches at the other. Although there was a chair and a stool in the room, if anyone sat down on either the other person couldn't get past. .Hanging space for clothes wasn't the best, just a rail attached to the wall which meant clothes, although hung on hangers were still lying on top of each other. It was fine if staying for a few days but definitely not enough space for clothes if staying a week or more.

The hotel is a comfortable place to stay. It is well connected for shopping, and public transport options such as the metro are nearby. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean, and the showers are excellent. There are a lot of food and drink options close to the hotel or a simple metro ride away.

There is a bar in the hotel; however, it is only open a couple of times a week rather than all week which is unfortunate as, during our previous stay here, the drinks were excellent.

The hotel is centrally located, close to everything that is important from a commercial and tourist point of view. The room is furnished with good taste and refinement, especially kind staff. The hotel building is especially beautiful, the eclectic architecture is remarkable. The staff deserves all the appreciation. Now I know where I must return. Thank you for this wonderful stay!

Room was small but very comfortable. Shower was perfect, strong flow with hot water and plenty of it. Loved the building design - gorgeous. Bed comfortable. Very clean. Transport options very close. Supermarket 5 mins walk. Plenty of fast food options very close by if that's what you require.

Breakfast was just OK. Though with plenty of choice. Fruit and baked breads were good. Cooked food was very generic and a bit meh! Bacon too salty and scrambled eggs watery and tasteless. Coffee nothing special. No free water in the rooms.

This is my 2nd time staying at this hotel. The staff are all exceptional. One of the check in staff members recognised me from my stay the year before. Special shout out to house keeping and the guys looking after the breakfast service who did an amazing job during very busy mornings. This was my first time booking with breakfast included and I highly recommend it, as the quality and variety were excellent. I wouldn't have returned if I didn't enjoy my previous stay. :)

Curtains for the window facing the street offers almost no privacy, which meant I kept the blackout blinds down a lot of the time, and depriving the room of natural light. On reflection, I would've preferred a room with an arm chair, given I was staying for a whole week, and spent a fair bit of time in the room, recovering from the heat. On my previous stay I booked a room with a "balcony" area, and I much preferred this room. Unfortunately, none were available for this visit. This is a personal preference, and does not take away from the quality of the room I was staying in.

The Hotel is built in a fantastic old Hungarian palace. Breakfast is very good, which you can enjoy in the courtyard of the palace. Rooms are extremely quiet, have a nice interior design with very comfortable beds and gadgets to keep you cozy - including radio channels with sea, rain and bird sounds. On top you have huge baggage lockers in the basement and a co-working space for easy check-in of Flights. The location of the hotel is exceptional good due having Metro, Bus, Tram, Restaurants, Shops, Theaters, Museums… very near by. Not to forget the lovely Staff…

Size of room

Hotel very nice, staff very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable. Breakfast very good with something for everyone. Hotel location ideal for our needs. Easy walk to the centre, river and main sights, also easy access to the metro and other modes of transport. The locker room for leaving luggage after you have checked out was first class, no need to carry ANY bags around if you have a long wait before heading to the airport as it is very secure. Best I have ever come across. Would certainly recommend this hotel.

Room was a good size, however bathroom could have been larger, not a deal breaker though.

Lovely hotel in a great area. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially, Atilla on reception who gave us a warm welcome and lots of advice. Good selection for breakfast. Little touches like providing umbrellas for the rain and a great locker service for storing luggage securely after checkout, so we could do some more sightseeing before departure. Loved our room on the top floor, warm comfortable and quiet, with huge skylight windows with great blackout blinds for a good nights sleep.

Minor point really, the bar was a bit soulless, perhaps some background music playing would give a better atmosphere. Bar tender Victoria was very friendly though.

Really loved staying in this hotel. Going inside, you are welcomed by the stunning foyer. My room had a definitely more modern twist to it but it was still very comfortable and spacious. Initially, I was a bit worried because my room was on the first floor overlooking the street and as a solo traveller I take my safety very seriously, however black out curtain definitely helped and I felt safe and cosy. Location wise, Oktagon is very well connected with trams running frequently just outside the hotel. However, you can also walk to the centre, it is not far! Szechenyi baths are also within walking distance. Overall, I had a really lovely stay here!

It's not that I didn't like it, but if I can make any suggestion, I recommend allocating solo travellers, especially female ones like me, to rooms that are on higher floors and/or which are not street facing.

Location was excellent, right next to the metro and a 25 min walk to the park. The breakfast was great quality, really enjoyed the options available. The service was great from the staff. There were games on the fourth floor next the lifts which were good fun. The foyer was beautiful and the lockers in the basement for luggage storage after check out was fantastic - really really helpful to have that facility.

Not a necessity but the hotel bar was shut for most of the time we were there. We had it for the first night and the last night though which was good.
