In my opinion the perfect place to stay in Budapest. Everything you wish to see in Budapest is only a short walk or a short walk to transport that will get you there. For value for money it may just be the best hotel I have ever stayed in. When I booked I thought it was just going to be a nice convenient place to stay but nothing special. When arriving the staff were fantastic and check in was so easy even though due to flight delays we were checking in in the early hours of the morning. The hotel was very clean and just has an ‘cool’ vibe. The room was much bigger than expected and had two levels. A fully stocked mini bar for which is far more reasonable than any other minibar I have seen. The shower and shower products were fantastic. It also had a living room area should you choose to use it. Not often one to leave a review but the stay was so pleasant and the staff were so nice I felt it would be a shame not to say.

I wouldn’t class these as problems but in wanting to give a balanced view my only two slight issues were the Towels provided were pretty small and the heating wasn’t able to be turned down enough for my liking however I am someone who likes to sleep in very cold temperatures so it would be unlikely to cause anyone else a problem.

Really spacious, fun, quirky and smart decor. Very friendly staff. Lovely ambience to the place and nice little touches including the snack bar and sweets

Not much- would have benefited from a coat stand in the room and some mugs (espresso cups only)

Trendy, fun, amazing location! Full of surprises which we loved. All staff were warm, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Some of our favourite touches were the treats available in the lobby, the polaroid camera in our room and the cocktail trolley service

The hotel was amazing at absolutely every single corner we turned and overall one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Our only one issue was our room temperature was extremely warm which meant the birthday cake I had arranged/birthday balloons melted and deflated… and we couldn’t turn it down via room AC as it wouldn’t go any lower. I am confident had we raised this issue with reception then this would have been sorted for us but we managed.

Everything. Room was very good. Staff were excellent, especially Hya who really exceeded our expectations. She always went the extra mile and the extra smile when assisting us

Really quirky hotel in a perfect location for exploring the city and getting to and from the airport. (Express bus stops about 5 minutes away). Staff go above and beyond and are very polite and friendly. Breakfast at 26, surrounded by all the plants, was very good. Snacks available around the hotel, free prosecco on arrival, and the option to rent a Polaroid are all small touches that make this hotel a step above others. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend! Thanks for an amazing stay!

One small suggestion to have instructions for the AC as we found the room a bit hot despite trying to adjust it, although I'm sure staff would have helped if we'd asked!

The Cosmopolitan team of young, friendly and helpful people. I previously emailed them to say that it was my boyfriends birthday and they kindly organised two bottles of prosecco and some sweets and a note to wish him happy birthday. It felt awesome! Lots of smiles. Also, the room looked pretty and I loved the duplex effect. The record player was the cherry on to! Also it's only few minutes walk from the bus 100E that took us to the airport (40min only) and walk distance from many landmarks. Overall we had a wonderful stay at the Stories Boutique hotel, it's definitely added to the many beautiful memories we have from Budapest. Thank you very much!

We had two minor issues in the bathroom. However as soon as we asked for help, they would first sincerely apologise and immediately do something to solve the situation.

The daily housekeeping and water refills are a big plus. There were small sugar treats and snacks in the lobby and reception available for the the visitors every day. The interior design had a retro vibe, taking you back to different times of the city. The location is an extreme bonus for the visitors of the hotel as it is in the heart of Pest. The staff were extremely friendly and willing to all our requests.

The breakfast is a fixed menu with limited options and if you're staying long it becomes redundant at some point. One time the housekeeping changed our bedsheets with others that had a big brown stain (you can imagine what it was👀)

The location is the best. The hotel is located in a walking distance to everywhere like so many good restaurants, fashion street, monuments etc. However, most important reason for our stay going smoothly is the staff. The staff is so friendly and helpful I can’t even begin but to mention their names like Elizabeth,Ganag,Sali,Szolt,Faisal anddd Hayan (I hope I got the names correct:)) and many more that are working in the hotel. Thank you so much for making this travel safe and easy for me and my family!!! As a bonus, on the 1st floor of the building you will find one of the coolest restaurants in the city. If I ever comeback to Budapest, I already know the place to stay. If the price is suitable for you, don’t hesitate to stay at Stories!

Nothing at all…

Clean and tidy. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very nice. Convenient to fast food and grocery shops and Starbucks and fairly close to a main metro station.

Room small. I would likely stay closer in nearer Danube in Old Town and pay more. Entry to hotel lacks markings that are obvious. Even though big sign above it I walked past it several times daily since hotel is not on main floor. Garbage trucks crazy noisy at 530 every day emptying garbage and recycling in front of building. Mall across street that is a nightlife bar mall is very noisy loud people until late.

The staff: they are a real asset to the hotel. I was so well received. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, and they responded to any requests quickly. The garden restaurant downstairs in the courtyard was also lovely. Again, the staff were very welcoming and the service was fast. The location is also very good - close to transport so you can easily get to the main stations and attractions.

The noise and music from the restaurant is quite loud, which can be inconvenient at night. However, the glazing and the extra door to the rooms keeps the majority of the noise out. I'm a light sleeper but didn't have any problems sleeping, as long as the main door to the set of rooms was kept closed. If you're a very light sleeper, I'd recommend bringing earplugs just in case.
