Great location, super close to the center. Free lockers and free luggage room. There were available towels for rent. Both the room and bathroom were perfectly clean. The lobby was large and fun to hang out in. The staff were very kind and helpful. Loved the experience.

The internet connection was terrible in my room but I heard that it was fine in other rooms. Also, I had difficulty figuring out how to lock my locker and I was not the only one. The instructions were very misleading. If you will stay here, keep in mind, you need to press on the button with your card.

The location of the Hostel is perfect! Located in the center close to one of the main squares. It has all the amenities in the vicinity (small markets, coffee shops, restaurants and bars). It allows for a swift commute as the bus stop to the airport is within a 5 min walk from the hostel and at a similar distance from the metro and main tram lines. The building is quite nice and the experience could not be better. The staff is amazing, very polite and always available to help. The hostel has a shared kitchen well equipped for the preparation and storage of your meals. There is plenty space to work and the quality of the wi-fi is pretty reasonable. The hostel has a 24/7 reception which makes your life easy if you are arriving/leaving either early in the morning as it was our case. It has its own bar and provides breakfast for a reasonable price. The hostel provides luggage storage (also quite helpful - not sure if for free as we didn't need it). The hostel has also a couple of elevators that might be useful in the case of people with limited mobility or if you're staying in the upper floors or have heavy luggage. Regarding the room there is not much to say, it is a rather big room, with AC system and a small private bathroom. The only inconvenient during our stay is the soundproof of the room that wasn't perfect, still we were lucky as our room was facing the courtyard (avoiding all the noise from the Main Street - which might be a problem). In addition, the bathroom had a very distinct smell (really bad), the only way to solve it was by keeping the door closed otherwise it would infest the rest of the room. To summarise, and despite some of the issues here reported our stay was really pleasant. The quality/cost relationship is really good and we will definitely stay here again!

Few things to point and most issues can be avoided if you discuss them previously with the staff. 1) Soundproof is a problem (avoiding having a room facing the main street will help); 2) Bathroom (of private room) had a very distinct smell; 3) Kitchen utensils missing when we were there (might have been due to the presence of a large group);

The location was absolutely incredible and very easily accessible. The rooms were clean enough and the services were good at the rate provided. I was staying in a dorm so I was sharing with 7 other people, but I had fun. Depending on the other guests your experience may vary but overall I'm satisfied.

The air conditioning in the room didn't work so we had to keep the windows open throughout and since it's located in a very active tourist and pub area, it was loud till about 2am in the night. I don't think it's a permanent issue but still.

The position is excellent, close to almost all tourist attractions and very easy to reach (the bus stop from/to the airport is 5 min from/to the hostel). Staff is very kind and cordial. And the common area is huuuge!

The hostel is very big and has many guests and unfortunately not all of them are nice and respectful. During practically the entire night, screams and people running through the corridor could be heard.

Everything was good. It was clean, fairly quiet, good location. The rooms and other spaces were light and airy. I was only there one night with an early flight, so I did not use many of the amenities such as kitchen or common space.

Having to put the linens (sheet, pillowcase, duvet cover) on and remove for checkout was mildly annoying. I understand how it makes things run smoothly, but at 4am it was inconvenient.

Excellent location, right by a pretty market, close to food and drink places whenever you need them! This hostel was impressive to walk into and the reception/lounge area is decent too. They have charging ports at the back where people can lie down and charge their phones, which was handy. I liked that the lockers didn’t require a padlock.

My bed wasn’t great (not terrible either) and if I’d slept there any longer, I may’ve had back problems. I’d recommend this place for 1/2 nights but no longer. The lockers are odd. It doesn’t show you this, but you need to push your room key card against the button, not your finger, but no one at reception told me this. Others said the same. The bathroom was a bit wet and dirty but that’s more to do with who you share a room with. I liked the room en-suite for convenience though.

The road it is in is a tiny bit creepy at night/early morning because of all the bars

Pros: Atmosphere - good hangout place. Note that most of the people in the hostel are groups. Room - Comftobrle bed, clean and nice bathroom. Quiet., hot water, has closet and windows, heating is good and can be played with. Kitchen - fridge and basic cooking. Elavator - good. Location - great and close to everything. Laundry in the building.

Cons- WIFI - weak disconnecting wifi at the room. not good for zoom. WIFI is good at the lobby but its noisy there.. Room - has no table and no chairs. No TV. Kitchen - no oven and no freezer. No paper or tee/coffee. overall dirty becuase of the groups coming. Price - bit expensive.

Wombat’s in Budapest was fantastic! There was air conditioning, comfortable beds, and clean rooms. I became really good friends with one of my hostel roommates and everyone else I met was super friendly. The hostel was perfect location to the streetcars, subway, and downtown core. I would definitely stay here again! I went out in the evenings twice, and the hostel was a perfect location for clubs, bars, and night events.

My regular place for R&R after the festival. ended up staying a week-long in Budapest with friends Special thank for the amazing staff for all the understanding support and care. We had a great stay. See you next year :)
