Great staff. This is the second time we are staying at Raintree and it's become our "go to" hotel in Chennai. The included breakfast spread is great - its fresh and tasty with a good spread, but not too much. We stayed in another 5 star hotel in Chennai where there was way too much food and too many varieties - but not great quality, and lower level of Service. I like Raintree because of its quality of food and great customer service. Their chef came out and talked to us once- nice touch. The beds at Raintree are perfect - not too soft, not too firm. There is a small but nice gym. The Asian fusion restaurant at the lower level is also very good - we ate there couple of times and we really liked the food quality and the customer service.

The bathroom could be cleaned better.

Fantastic breakfast spread. Was really spoilt for choice. Variety oif breakfast dishes served across the week was amazing. Staff was very attentive and helpful. They organised a wheelchair for my elderly aunt and ensured that she was seated comfortably when I invited her over for the lunch buffet. They also put together the promised buffet and served all my lunch guests the enreees, although the number of guests had reduced from 14 to 10.

Billing at the rooftop restaurant was a little careless. We were charged for a whole bottle of rum when we had ordered just one glass. But they corrected the mistake

Lovely staff all of them, eg the man on reception who helped me in the night to rearrange my travel, the technician who helped quickly to get on the super fast wifi.... The location was lovely, best part of town in my view, lots of trees and smaller roads, and near the places that I wanted to visit. The big windows in the rooms, lots of light and nice voile curtains to shade the sun. Super comfortable bed. Breakfast was an amazing choice, everything you could imagine, international and indian.

I didn't like the strong perfumed smell in the lobby and corridors, maybe other people like this though. I didn't like the music that was too loud and a bit hectic in the lobby and dining area, could be more tranquil, again this is a personal preference.

Check in was good. Arrived around 10 am and was able to get a room around 11 am ( early check in) Similarly, check out, they allowed 30 minutes extra, at 1230 pm Breakfast spread was good. With full occupancy, there was waiting line, which could have been avoided by prior warning of guests about peak time rush!

Spa Co- ordination was abysmal. If there is no SPA person, you may not know whether there is a slot available or when the slot may be available. Being an independent unit, no hotel staff knows anything about spa appointment, other than the location at T!!!! Spa was not willing to charge the room, till Hotel staff talked and made sense ( it is a different story that hotel took ₹5000, as a deposit, in addition to room rent)… sort of a double whammy. Though we needed a non smoking floor, there was copious smell of tobocco and the de-humidifier kept in the foyer was a life saver.

The staff was incredible, specially the team in the reception. Super kind and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and the rooftop at night offered great views. The breakfast was very nice and complete with everything you may wish. Great masala tea too. Super close to the shopping area in case you’re planning to do some shopping.

The room roof had a leak which was a bit annoying but nothing that cannot be fixed. The room also had a cigarette smell which was a bit unpleasant. It would also be great if the rooftop area was better utilised during the day. The swimming pool is pretty cool but the whole area is a bit dull during the day. A missed opportunity in my opinion.

the room and facilities were good and the staff was friendly

the food ordered through room service was average. I ordered room service several times but was not happy with the taste and the portions. The rice portions are too large for a single person and 3 tiny chapatis are too little. Portions need to be managed more practically. The taste of the main dishes and sides were also unimpressive given that we are paying a premium for the food. The breakfast buffet was good with a wide variety of offerings. While the idli/dosa chutneys, sambhar were great, the bhaji for the puris and the egg curry were tasteless. I ate lunch at Chap Chay once but found the food lacking. I ate here a couple of times when I stayed last December and the food at that time was excellent.

I was given a warm welcome with great smiles and a refreshing drink being offered. That was a promising start for a comfortable stay. I loved the room I had. I liked the design and it was very clean. It had a nice view of Chennai as well. The staff is amazing too. The receptionists, cleaners, waiters, guards were all very polite and kind. Breakfast was great as well: plenty of choice and great service. My special requests during breakfast were being facilitated as well. I also ate dinner at the rooftop. Some of the tastiest food I have had in a while. The waiters were also so kind and hospitable. There was a small gym too. A bit too small for a full workout, but I still managed to do some exercises. The swimming pool is small, but does the trick to cool off. The view from the rooftop was amazing. Something I also liked was the surrounding area of the hotel. It is a quiet and relatively safe neighbourhood, so walking there felt surprisingly relaxed. I felt so comfortable here that I decided to extend my stay for another night. After checking out they also kept my luggage safe till I was having my flight in the evening.

My nightrest was a bit hampered by some guests that decided to keep their door open while their baby was crying. Also some guests were a bit rude to the staff, to the point it started to annoy me. Nonetheless it was handled so professionally and I respect the staff for that.

Fantastic Location, easily accessible, clean and comfortable rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. Especially Ritu at the reception who was super helpful given we had a long stay with multiple rooms. all the people at the colony restaurant were extremely helpful and made sure we had a very good stay- especially neetu and her colleague who helped a lot and were extremely hospitable. House keeping was wonderful and the person that comes to mind is Dhananjay who was very accommodating and very professional. The concierge staff were extremely professional and were super quick and efficient. I may have forgotten some names but we spent 6 wonderful days across 5 rooms here in Raintree

Everything was great. I did have to pay the full amount without utilizing a room for a few days for which there was no flexibility shown to release the rooms. It was a wasted coat for me but I do understand the hotel’s stance as it was a prior online booking fully paid for.

Indian hospitality at its best - the staff provided top service to us. Rooms were spacious and modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good too despite some waiting time to get a table but it is worth it. The location of the hotel makes most attractions in Chennai city centre reachable within a 10-15 minutes auto ride. The hotel allowed late checkout at a reasonable fee - due to our flight departing at midnight

Crowded breakfast due to small space, but can easily be fixed by adjusting timing of visit. The staff did their best and did well.

Great location, clean, friendly helpful staff. Nice decor, comfy bed.

Only criticism was breakfast - on both occasions that we had breakfast our entree order was not delivered. On the first occasion 1 (of the 2) entrees were not delivered, on the second occasion neither entrees were delivered. Also, on the first time we went for breakfast we got there within the opening times, but towards the end of the opening time - but there was a shortage of bowls and plates- they hadn't been replenished.
