The location is excellent ,overlooking the Ganges and right next to the Ghats we wanted to visit. The staff are lovely people ,very helpful and even packed us sandwiches for our flight home. The garden patio overlooks the river and is a pleasant view, food was good and excellent coffees

We booked a deluxe room with a hairdryer in the bathroom and seating in the room plus a drying rack and wardrobe.......... Very tiny room ,no hairdryer, no seating and just enough room to get round the bed.No wardrobe or drying rack, no toilet paper and hot water didn't work. Toilet seat was broken.I guess we were given a basic room? Nothing like the photos on the site.

Clean comfortable bed and own bathroom in the dungeon. Why not?)) Every castle has a dungeon. In Alka, there are rooms "no AC" in it. Why AC in the dungeon? It's so cold in here. Very comfortable temperature in the room. And the humidity is high, because the Ganga is close and the underground waters come to the surface of the walls of the underground rooms. Breakfast is freshly cooked, Indian breakfast is delicious. The staff is welcoming and friendly. The environment is peaceful and safe.

I put 10. This place gave me the best thing I needed on Maha Shivaratri - the perfect viewing and meditation platform for the whole night. The hotel has a beautiful meadow with a lawn and green spaces. It offers a magnificent view - on the left are the fires of Manikarnika, on the right is the beauty of the evening Ganga Maha Aarti on Dashashwamedh Ghat, down a few meters to the embankment - view from the central box of the opera theatre. From the observation deck there is direct access to the embankment. Two minutes to the beautiful Nepali Temple, four minutes to Kashi Vishwanath Temple. And this splendor was accompanied by a clean comfortable bed and a private bathroom in a dungeon.

This was fine for the money. Hotel porters met us from the Uber and carried our luggage all the way down to the hotel (and back again when it was time to leave). The staff were excellent here and went out of their way to help. Really made a difference. Views are superb. Also, you can get a wide variety of food and drink here without ever having to go look elsewhere. Bear in mind Varanasi is basically vegetarian!

Bathroom could've been nicer but we weren't expecting the Ritz. It is a bit of a trek to the hotel but if they know you've arrived, they'll meet you. Make sure you tip well - they're worth it!

This property is right at the ghats and walking distance from KashiVishwanth Ji temple and Dashashwamedh ghat - if you have good set of binoculars, you can also watch famous Ganga Aarti from this place. Place was clean and well maintained. Staff was cooperative and courteous. You can definitely opt for this one if you’re going with Family (and they can Walk and climb stairs)

In hindsight, didn’t check that it is shared bathroom and toilet. Also it is squat toilet, so please be careful if you have some physical issues.

Location: Supremely Awesome location to have a view for Mother Ganga. Staff Behaviour: They are very helpful and can guide us to best possible tourism.

Restaurant : Prices for food are super expensive and due to lack of lift in the hotel the restaurant guys do not want to come for a room service. This is pathetic mindset and bad behaviour. Prices are very expensive. Rather, walk out and enjoy street food to relish #theKashi

Location is very nice just on the bank of Gangaji. Near to the Vishwanath temple. However, Vishwanath gali are so narrow and congested. Reaching the hotel from the main road it's quite difficult. You will have to walk from PVR mall. But plus point of this hotel is very near to Dasashamedh Ghat Arati location. And temple just 10 mins. (Gate no. 2) by walk. Also, it will be wrong not to mention the service and help of Munnaji. We will remember always. Definitely we will visit again.

The location is perfect, if you want the feel of living in Benaras. Just by the Meer Ghat. It offers fantastic views and has a super kind and accommodating staff.

It is a little inaccessible as it's deep in the heart of the streets of Benaras, so one has to walk about 500m from the nearest auto stop. The shared washroom could use a Lil more space and remodeling.

On the banks of river Ganges is: really a treat to watch all activities and boating in the midst of seagulls.... Having a dip in Ganges in the early hours with clean water flowing. Cleaning of Ganges by the mech cleaner . Support provided by the hotel staff. Very humble and respectful with our any expectation.

The narrow lines to reach the ghats.

The location is awesome. Undeniably it's the best to have the panoramic view of the historic ghats of Varanasi. It's great!

The route that leads to the property is not very good. You don't have a choice but to walk through the narrow overcrowded alleys for almost more than a KM to reach the spot. Carrying luggage is very very difficult. The property doesn't have a lift. The property functions with very limited staff, so needs longer duration for any service that's requested. Having said all off that, the view from the hotel can't be compared with as equally serene in the city.

The best about the hotel is the location. You can leisurely seat on terrace while having your food. Room was good but cleaning was not done on a regular basis.
