Amazing hardworking staff. Awesome location with a sunrise spot and snorkelling spot right infront of the property. Good food. Rooms were comfortable.

There's sand and pebbles on the bathroom floor. Although it feels nice aesthetically. It's not practical . As it takes time for water to drain and the bathroom is never completely dry. Maybe that's why there were many many mosquitos in the bathroom.

Nice chill place close to the sea with friendly staff. They can arrange boat tours for snorkelling and rent of bicycles. We liked the breakfast and also our dinner. The BBQ fish is really great! Nice area for chilling by the sea and enjoy some drinks. Overall it was nice 3 days stay at Gillis. If you are looking for relaxation is the perfect gateway! Totally recommend.

Door closes only if you lock with the key. No one cleaned inside and we didn’t have toilet paper. Small things that they can change easily.

Staff are wonderful Just an ideal location to snorkel and chill on the beach. Food is cheap. Accommodation is rustic but quite adequate. Atmosphere is just fantastic. We loved our little corner of paradise, and will certainly come back sometime soon. Accommodation is rustic and authenthic Indonesian. We loved that. The team looked after us really well. We felt like part of the family.

Would have liked clean bed linen and a fresh towel even a toilet clean or ability to do this cleaning ourselves during our stay. We stayed 7 days, there was no service.

This place is just paradise, just next to the point where you can see the turtles. We spent all our mornings snorkeling there, and it was amazing. The bungalow is very nice, the hammock is a plus and the shower is beautiful. You have access to beach beds and a swimming pool which are very nice. The food is good, & the cocktails too. the staff is very friendly. We highly recommend this place !

The only thing that sort of put a damper on our amazing experience here was being over charged when paying with card. I don’t know if it was human error or intentional, but whenever they’d calculate the 3% surcharge for paying with card, I noticed it was closer to 30%. To combat this, I suggest either paying with cash, or learning how to calculate percentages.

Fantastic stay at the star bar bungalows. A super quiet and serene location on the east side of the island which is the PERFECT place to watch the sunrise and swim with turtles. The bungalow was a 10 second walk to the beach, an amazing size with a seriously comfy and large bed and seating area on the porch. Provided in the room was large bath towels, mosquito net and a small amount of shower soap. The included breakfast each morning was simple but incredibly tasty and it was so nice to eat it on the small beach area whilst watching the sun rise. Pool was good but the beach area was better! Most of all, the staff here are the KINDEST group of people we have met in Indonesia so far. They are all kind, attentive, funny, talkative and welcoming every time we interacted with them. They helped us to rent snorkel gear and bicycles from their friend next door and checked on us to make sure we were comfortable and happy!

- the aircon was very poor - The bungalow experience would be absolutely perfect if they added hangers in the wardrobe and a small table and chairs inside with a kettle and coffee making facilities. A fridge would also be a great addition but this is just my usual preference. - I also would have preferred to see more vegetarian options on their menu.

The location was very good- right on the beach with lounge chairs and beach gazebos. A long walk to the ferry terminal; many woud use the horse and carriage (cimodo) to get to the accommodation from the ferry. The staff were very friendly and were willing to make us coffees early in the morning, even though breakfast was not available until 8am. Breakfast basic but adequate. Cold water showers, comfortable bed.P

We didn't use the pool for a couple of reasons- the beach was so close; the pool was out in the open and had no seating area or furniture.

Nice bungalow in a great spot on Gili Air. Nice pool and located super close to an awesome snorkelling spot. Good place to relax.

AC could have been stronger. Would have been nice if the patio was swept more regularly - it got very sandy! Quality of breakfast was also a bit variable but when they had all the ingredients it was very nice.

Location was ok, room was nice and clean

the staff... really annoying and not capable of working.. took always at least 30mins to get the breakfast also If there were no other guests, what wasn't even good, they are always talking to you also if the see you are reading or working in terrace, they interrupt...

Overall great stay at Star Bar! - staff was very friendly & helpful - breakfast was good with a wide western & local selection, fresh juice & fruit and coffee - amazing to hang around at their seafront where you can swim, snorkel, drink, eat all at the same place - welcome drink and the daily cleaning was great - outside hammock was a great touch, nice for naps

- shower water was only as warm as the see which we didn’t mind but a hot shower option would be nice - the bungalow needs some maintenance here and there like walls and bathroom plumbing parts.

Great facility located less than 100 meters away fom the beach. Staff was super friendly and helpful, they arranged bicycles, scuba trips and restaurants for us. Di, the staff member in charge when we arrived, was an awesome guy....make sure to grab a beer with him an learn about Lombok and the Sasak culture! Rooms where nice, A/C a must and everything was very clean.

Breakfast and dinner weren't that good but there are many available options close by
