Very nice hostel with mostly very friendly staff. Cleaned frequently and a very good social vibe with a lot of effort made with activities to bring travelers together.

Had a disagreement over a 2% card fee which is not mentioned on any booking site and they do not accept payment through booking.com. Attitude was ‘it’s only 2%’ but I believe this should be mentioned before the charge being added to your card. Towels could do with a better clean but the hostel itself is very clean and well looked after.

The atmosphere at puri gardens is great for solo travellers everyone is very friendly and eager to meet other travellers. The staff have great English speaking skills which makes it easy to communicate about the hotel amenities, local area and onward travel. The day trip was an amazing experience while I stayed at puri and the activities put on by the hostel are great for solo travellers to meet others.

The daily yoga class every morning is great but it would have been better suited to having it later in the morning e.g 8am/9am as getting up before 7am to do a yoga class is hard work while you're on holiday mode.

The shared dorm had big comfortable beds with curtains. The lockers were big enough to put everything inside. Everyone had their own shelf next to the sink to put toiletries. Free morning yoga was lovely and free massage and manicure were a nice add. I loved that you could refill your water bottle in the common area. Nice relaxed hostel vibe. It was quiet to get a good sleep.

I found it strange that you could not lock the door to the room. Breakfast could have been bigger with more options. The bathroom should have more towel nobs for everyone and also something to put your clothes, instead on the bathroom floor when taking a shower.

This is hands down the best hostel I’ve ever stayed at! The blend of traditional Balinese architecture with modern amenities creates a stunning and unique atmosphere. The common areas are always clean and beautifully designed, making it a pleasure to relax there. The attached café serves delicious breakfasts and is perfect for working remotely. The hostel strikes the ideal balance between being social without feeling like a party spot. My friends and I stayed in the 4-bed female dorm, which was incredibly comfortable and stylish, complete with a private bathroom and all the comforts of a hotel. Highly recommend this place!

Cleaning and comfort in the room (they had amazing lemongrass shampoo, conditioner, bath gel and cream :) 15' Massage included every day + Daily 7am yoga classes + 1 Manicure or pedicure per day included were a great surprise!

Staff were really friendly, room was spotless, restaurant was delicious and the hostel was really social, I made so many friends. We got free back massages, nails done and it felt really luxurious.

BBQ night food made me and a friend sick. When my friend approached reception he was told that nobody else had reported it. I booked the day trip and while booking it said on the sign that we were going to the temple, the next morning the sign was changed and we didn’t get to see the temple but the stuff we did to I enjoyed. I just felt communication could have been better. We didn’t get a room with a bathroom nearby so it was a trek to the toilet especially when it rained so maybe keep that in mind when booking.

Everything about this place was purely magical. The staff was amazing, always helpful and genuinely interested in their guests. A special thank you to Jack, who consistently connected guests, helping them make new friends. The facilities were perfect: the room was spacious with large lockers and everything you could need. The breakfast was always delicious, offering a great selection of food. This hostel is perfect for socializing and meeting like-minded travelers, with hostel-organized tours around Ubud, sunrise hikes, family dinners, and movie nights. This hostel was truly amazing—probably the best I have ever stayed in! I wholeheartedly recommend this place for an unforgettable stay in Ubud, Bali.

The place is great, staff is super nice and they organize a lot of activities every day, so you have little to plan yourself. Also breakfast is included and is very good. Plus it is in the same building as their cafe where it is safe to eat salads and ice (in case you were afraid of Bali belly..). Also you have free water dispenser so no need to buy tons of plastic bottles. For the rooms, beds are super comfy and rooms are really well organized, we even had a small balcony.

One thing is that this place is not really a hostel, there is no space to cook for yourself, do some sports on the side or wash your clothes. It’s more like a hotel but with hostel vibes. Towels smelled a bit off for me, but you could change them every time you wanted so that was not a problem. All rooms had super low AC and you had to go ask reception for the remote to lower it every single day, which was a bit of a faff.

Loved everything about this place!! Could not recommend it enough. The atmosphere is incredible. Perfect place to come if solo travelling (or even if travelling with a couple friends!). It’s super social in a chill way - not very party party, quiet by 10/10:30 every night. Made lots of amazing friends while staying here. Wisnu is the most welcoming host ever - such a fun guy and so so kind along with the rest of the Puri Garden team! Day trip on offer was incredible and the Mt Batur hike is a MUST. Stayed for 4 nights and that wasn’t enough!! Lots of the people I met wanted to extend their stay as well.

Honestly can’t fault this place

It was my best experience. People here are so socialised, you can feel that all the time is someone around, telling the stories, sharing their experience about things to do around or just having fun. Dormitories are really clean, well equipped and designed. The staff is very helpful and kind - everyday with a smile! It is nice that there is a garden, where all the people can enjoy and find new friends. It is super friendly hostel!! Also there was activities as morning yoga, evening movies night, or quizzes, family diners and etc. You can have a massage for free everyday for 15minutes. It is really worth to stay in Puri Garden.
