Great location - I could walk to all the places I wanted to go to. Clean with a lovely tranquil pool, very friendly staff. Comfortable bed and pillows, lovely balcony. I also like that they have a large water dispenser at reception - saves on getting multiple plastic bottles. I’m likely to return!

Superior room had great views (only 3 rooms) with large balcony (easily fit 2 yoga mats ;) ) . Breakfast was lovely (coffee horrible), great power in the hot shower. Fridge with little freezer was great. Great location and so so quiet compared to the rest of commercial Bali. Staff were lovely. Wifi very good, even with VPN for working & steaming. Endless pool is filtered & reasonable large. Garden area & original Balinese buildings are lovely. I would recommend & return.

Now the bad bits. No shade around the pool so 5-6hrs of the day (even in early Nov) is crazy hot and almost unbearable as no sun canopies. Coffee is for cafetière and is horrible, unsure they're aware! Got rash from duvet cover without sheet within 20mins and for next 5 nights, had to take antihistamines to alleviate rash. I did mention this to staff as it's been highlighted here before. Just a sheet would suffice. AC is OK but noisy and needs servicing. This is a family owned and run complex so expect kids at 7am & noise in kitchen below superior rooms at same time (I'm a light sleeper). No wardrobes or storage so lived out of bag for 5 days! Kettle takes 30mins+ to boil, no joke.

Yuliati House is perfectly located with everything you could possibly want, expect or need from whatever you may have heard about Ubud right at your doorstep. The host family and their staff are all beautiful people, who shine a magnificent light on the magnificence of Bali and its culture. It is the people and their divine culture who make Bali what it truly is - a tiny piece of paradise. If you are looking for somewhere to stay in Ubud where you will experience traditional culture and feel right at home, you need look no further than Yuliati House. I will definitely be coming back!

The room had a very big balcony facing a nice garden. The breakfast was brought to us to the balcony and included tea/coffee, a fruit platter and a dish of your choice.

There was no window in the bathroom, instead there was a hole in the wall, without any mosquito net or any possibility to shut. The other windows including the door can only be shut by wood, no glass window. At least a proper hook in the ceiling for a mosquito net should be installed.

The location is fantastic in town, close enough to walk everywhere. Plenty of eateries on the same street. The homestay is within a compound that houses other homestays/families thus just walk thru to the back and will see the signage. I stayed in a small house near the pool. It's was quaint and quiet. When I ran out of hot water, the staff quickly checked and rectified by topping up gas for the boiler.

Been furthest out away from the main house of the property, the WiFi reception is poor and intermittent. Many steps to the property / room so be aware if you bring big luggage.

This is the first time I stayed in a home stay. It was fabulous. Great location. I felt safe even when arriving at 2am. Staff were two young guys who ran the whole thing. They were just the right amount of fun and responded well on whatap. Staying here I had an opportunity to see how Balinese people live. A taxi driver told me that the owner of the house is prima dancer who is now retired from dancing and teachers. The place had a nice pool. I was allowed even later check out when it was required without any fuss. Highly recommend for anyone ready for a homestay. This is not a luxury place, but a humble and honest home with separate apartments. My apartment had a pool view and. I was happy to eat breakfast on the balcony. Would stay there again if travelling on budget.

stayed here for two nights only last week when i visited Ubud again.it is the second time i stayed at Yuliati House.the first time more than 10 years.this time i found some changes.first,they have a superb pool,the pool is a bonus to the homestay.second,they have more rooms than before.i still remember the first time i stayed at their standard room,that time their bathroom even using traditional way,that means taking bath by using water trough and plastic dipper.this time i stayed at the room beside the pool,its location is great,cuz have a pool view.i did once swim in the pool,very nice experience,deep and big enough to swim.breakfast served at your room,i tried omelette one day,and banana pancake another day.all comes with coffee or tea and fruit platter.both are delicious,and portion is big.they have two male staffs,and sometimes very busy,so have to be more patience.when i checked out,i met another male staff ketut,he is helpful,arranged transport for me to the airport at reasonable price.staying at Yuliati House is convenient. there are many restaurants nearby.also there are at least three laundries within walking distance.the location is good, jl sukma close to ubud center,but not very busy,so you can have rather quiet stay here.and dont forget to talk with the talking bird at the front gate of Yuliati House.also,be noted that Yuliati house and another homestay share the same compound, Yuliati located at the back,so you have to go across that homestay first,after that,you can see Yuliati House. if you want to stay at a homestay with nice pool,then Yuliati house is the best choice.

rooms at the backyard have to walk down to it,the stairs quite steep.

It’s close to the town centre, which has everything you need (shops, market stalls, restaurants, ATMs, pharmacy, taxis etc) but it wasn’t noisy at all in the hotel, felt quite peaceful. We took a deluxe room with balcony looking over the greenery around - felt very peaceful. The staff were amazing here - the place is clearly basic and for people on a budget, but amazing service gives a place like this a huge boost and we felt very comfortable and looked after here, more so than we have in more upscale places where the service was more lacking. We rented a scooter at a good price of 70,000/day, a newer model was available for 90,000/day too. Breakfast was great, freshly cooked and filled us up for the day. Decent amount of options and we could eat it on our balcony if we wanted - the staff were helpful in bringing it up to us Water tank in reception for refills and coffee facilities in the room The shower was pretty good considering. The water stayed hot and soap/shampoo was provided

Not much seating around the pool and the pool could have been cleaner The location was a little confusing - there’s a sign outside but you have to walk through what I think was another homestay or just someone’s house, so it was hard to find where to check in but just walk in until you see the Yuliati house sign. Also Google maps took us to the wrong street so use Apple Maps Room was dated and clearly quite basic, but had everything we needed and was perfectly comfortable

Yuliati was a lovely and welcoming home stay. very central, but set back on the property. so you still feel you are out of the hustle and bustle of the busy street. A beautiful and relaxing pool, surrounded by lush greenery. the rooms were spacious and comfortable. reception offers loads of activities to book and help you on your travels. fresh clean drinking water available at reception to refill. shout out to Ketut and reception. He went beyond to help plan my daily activities and had great recommendations. All the staff were welcoming and lovely. made my stay feel very at home. definitely will be back.

I stayed at Yuliati for a month during a yoga teacher training at Radiantly Alive. It was in the perfect location, about a 7 min walk from the studio and 10-20 min walk from the center of Ubud. The property is beautiful and clean, great hot water, clean rooms, comfortable beds and the Yuliati family treat you just like family. It is very safe and quiet. The pool area is beautiful. Breakfast was great. I can't say enough good things. I will definitely return.
