Rooms, location excellent.

Cleaner was rude to us the next morning as it was 11:58hrs and we were only leaving the room at that time.

The staff in the pool and reception went over and above really deserve commending!

The staff in the restaurants (both) were average, just leaving dirty plates at the table when it was not overly busy and other small things like walking off and not asking everyone at the table if they want another drink etc. It’s a small complaint but having worked in service its just really irritating. Some really great staff made up for it :)

On check in we were absolutely delighted when the receptionist upgraded us to a deluxe 10th floor room in a no kids area. The room was fabulous, we wanted for nothing ! The views were stunning. The bed was a super king and so so comfortable. The bathroom had a great shower plus a bath and all the toiletries you could need. We ate in the bar the first night and the food was amazing, great lively atmosphere and the staff were lovely. The breakfast is superb, there is absolutely everything you could want from cooked to continental, we never seen such a choice before !! Athlone is a buzzing town, loads of tourists, many attractions, loads of independent cafe's , restaurants and shops. Fantastic Shopping Centre attached to the hotel. Loved our time there !!

There is nothing negative to say about the Sheraton Hotel and staff and Athlone is just gorgeous

We were greeted at reception by the lovely Sarah. Her beaming smile greeted us and we just knew we would be well looked after. Courteous, funny and efficient Sarah helped us find our bearings. Standard of friendliness by all staff was great to see and experience. Loved breakfast. Great choice. Spoke with Matius and Serendera from Napal. I asked Matius why all staff wore a golden R pin as I had never come across it. He explained it so well .. respect for self, respect for all those he comes in contact with and respect for those he works with. We were very impressed by this. We spoke with Lucia at dinner. Such a lovely dedicated worker. Such well trained, lovely friendly courteous staff at the Sheraton Athlone.

Dinner in La Provence was just ok but it would have been nice had we been told on arrival that there was a problem with the heating/aircon that evening. We had to point it out to staff and then move to a less colder area of the restaurant. It was too cold to stay on for deserts and drinks.

Front desk staff very helpful, I booked online, but was able to add on breakfast when I arrived. Very comfortable bed, clean room and bathroom - the bath was a bonus!

It could have been indicated that there were roadworks taking place directly next to the hotel, meaning that by driving you had to go the whole way around the town to access the carpark (as it wasn't picked up by the sat nav). The gates to the parking also lock, and you have to leave your vehicle to press the button to access it - a bit daunting when you're a solo traveller!

Great stay as always. We have stayed 3 times and will be back again. Staff are always so friendly and helpful. The rooms are exquisite and comfortable. We stayed in the Adult Only Tower and we were blown away with the room, atmosphere and the beautiful treats tray for my birthday. The views from the tower are second to none. The location of this hotel is heaven sent; 7minutes walk from the bus and train station but also right in town. Already planning stay number 4.

Going home.

Our room was lovely and big and we had a shower and bath and the bed was very comfortable. we had one small issue with our room which we mentioned on check out where we were sent the Manager personally to help us. Sabine was so kind and lovely and handled out issue so well and followed up after we had came home. we would 100% stay again not just for how lovely the hotel is and how close to everything we were but the staff alone were fabulous and so attentive. we would highly recommend anyone to come here.

everything met expectations or was more than expected.

-Loved how the hotel is connected to the shopping centre, it was very handy. -Loved the view from our room.

-We were really looking forward to trying out the spa, but unfortunately couldn’t get a slot due to a limited number of staff (Seemed like there was only one member of staff carrying out massages). -Booked the restaurant which was confirmed, but the restaurant wasn’t open which was unknown to us, so we had to go to the bar for dinner for the second night in a row. Just would have been nice to have a change of scenery. Bar was still lovely though.

always enjoy staying here it’s very cozy & comfy hotel. rooms are fabulous & have everything you need, the beds are so nice. I love coming back here to relax for a few nights! staff are always helpful & friendly.

the breakfast was the only down fall for me, the hot food wasn’t very nice. I never had this issue before, there is plenty of selection from fruits to cereals/porridge, & cold meats & hams. however the hot food was a let down, didn’t taste great beans were really hard & scrambled egg very soggy. the fruits & other foods were lovely.

Very comfortable bed, super king size. Great bathroom with bath and walk in shower. Good sized room with all the facilities you would expect. Breakfast, although self service, was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking was a doddle, couldn’t be closer, underground and free! We made use of the gym and pool with steam-room and sauna

Bit of a faff to get to the tower rooms (we were on the 8th floor) and from the car park that meant taking 3 separate lifts and quite a hike, but the view was well worth the effort
