Shiobhan who checked us in was very friendly and greeted us with a smile and chats.the spa was amazing so relaxing and all the staff at the spa were lovely. The food at the forge bar was amazing. Our server Emma was so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The cocktails were beautiful and well made.we ate and drank here every evening we stayed. The room we stayed in was really well decorated and spotless clean and the bed was huge and very comfortable.

The room was lovely and comfortable but the noise from other guests was awful.the 3 nights we stayed I didn't sleep at all.we wer down the very end of the corridor in the corner and it felt like it was a party corner.which is no problem if that's the type of break your going for. Myself and my husband went for a much needed break to relax but sadly the room we were put in really let the hotel stay down.

Breakfast was excellent, food was good, staff very nice, courteous and pleasant.

More clear guidance and information on the facilities, especially the spa. I'm sure the information was available however it seemed you would have to look for it. My wife was more interested in the pool, so we just went to Jacksons each morning, had sauna, swim, steam room, Jacuzzi and I used the gym. We were only there two nights and therefore did not spend time checking out the spa. We still therefore don't know the layout, booking procedure, pricing structure for residents/non residents for the spa facilities. Looking back therefore I think we may have missed out on an enjoyable part of our stay.

The food and staff were exceptionally. Good selection of cocktails.

Room decor abit dated. No air-conditioning/ fridge etc. Charging 15 euro for breakfast even tho my son got a bowl of cornflakes and my husband a coffe with toast. When we questioned the bill for breakfast, the hotel said that there was no way of charging us a cheaper rate as the 15 euro was the rate for breakfast no matter what you ate. Also, the choice for breakfast was very limited. Cooked breakfast, cereal breakfast juice, and croissants. Even though our stay was comfortable, we will not stay again due to the price and choice for breakfast.

Afternoon tea was absolutely amazing, and the spa area and treatments received were honestly the best treatment I have had to date. Could not fault at all, staff were amazing and the hotel itself was so beautiful, will definitely return.

The only issue we had was that our room was an adjoining family room, beautiful room very comfortable and ultimately we did not want to move from it but unfortunately we had to ask to move rooms due to 2 ladies next door who were making quite a bit of noise, shouting on phones and banging doors constantly and it was becoming a bit unbearable . so my only recommendation would be to not put people in those rooms where possible if not in a group together as you can hear everything, there was other rooms available on that floor as we moved to another so maybe just space people out if the option is there.

Room are very stylish, spacious, clean and cozy. Very peaceful nights stay, felt safe and secure and slept well. Noise was kept to a minimum even though it was new years eve. Room service where very prompt and polite, engaged in short conversation and were happy to help 😀

The pillows! as I found them quite hard and uncomfortable. The lift was out of service so I found it difficult using the stairs as I have walking difficulties.

Greeted at reception by a very friendly and helpful lady, good start. We went to our room and found it to be clean and fresh with not a spic of dust in site. We had a very nice meal in the restaurant followed by an enjoyable evening in the hotel bar. What impressed us most was the way in which the young staff worked and behaved, they were excellent.

The staff were very welcoming and very helpful. The suite I was allocated was most comfortable, spacious and quiet. Had a great nights sleep after a long drive. Would definately recommend the Villa Rose Hotel.

Deceptively large hotel, easy to get lost in. It may be helpful, for some guests especially, if colour codes for separate wings of the building were used to correspond with key cards. Just an idea.

Staff were very helpful. My room was a good size with all of the amenities that you would expect to find.

The bed was comfortable, but the mattress was on the softer side of my preference. The room I was in had a wooden floor with no rugs, so it didn't feel."cosy." Areas like the lift made it clear that some parts of the hotel are in need of refurbishment.

Loved the location, parking, staff, food and cocktails. Great value for B and B. Quiet room and super comfy bed. Delicious breakfast. Will definitely be back. Added bonus of 10% discount voucher for Mc Elhinneys. Foys and Benny&Co also well worth a visit.

Very little but would have to say the wooden floor in bedroom. Our stay was too short so not enough time to visit the Spa.

Room was very clean and spacious, hotel was central to everything. Staff were very friendly. We had food in the bar which was generous portions and very tasty. Spa was very relaxing too.

Wr had the afternoon tea, there couldve been a couple more sandwiches or a larger scone and less sweet stuff. the fan in the bathroom was humming all night.
