The Landmark Hotel

Fantastic breakfast which we ordered to our room. Ideal location close to the centre of town. Lovely reception area and cafe etc. Nice toiletries. Large room. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff exceeded my expectations.

The shower curtains were clingy and not very waterproof. The beds were ok but a little tired. The curtains in the room didn’t close enough to keep out the light fully. No air conditioning in the bedrooms and just a small radiator. Advice to hotel: Replace the bedroom pictures with some photos of your beautiful historical town and local scenery.

A perfect setting, which combined traditional hotel interior with a modern twist. The sunny coffee lounge was comfortable and gave nice views of the river. All the staff we encountered acted in a highly professional manner, and it was clear to see that everyone staying there was enjoying themselves. Parking was first come first served, but the hotel did encourage me to park outside the front of the hotel while my wife who has mobility issues, exited the car. The roomy atrium set the tone of the hotels quaintness and luxury. It was our favourite hotel stopover we experienced in Ireland.

It was so difficult to fault it. if I had to say anything, it was a lack of fruit at breakfast. But I must point out that we arrived later for breakfast that day, as we were in no rush to leave.

I was given the bridal Suite for the Weekend.I was so happy.I came down to visit my Grandchildren who live in Carrick.Iwas treated like the Queen.I literally thought Id died and gone straight to Heaven.Its nice to see how the LandMark treats one of their own local families.Thank you so much.xxx

It was perfect .

Breakfast was excellent and the room was great!! It definitely exceeded my expectations. The staff was super nice especially the front desk. The restaurant and the lunch/dinner menu was very convenient and food selection and taste was excellent as well.

The temperature in my room was low and although the staff helped me with the radiator it still didn't increase a lot. But then again, I am not like other people, and I like it super-hot so for regular travelers it should be totally fine.

Fantastic location and beautiful building. Large parking lot. Check-in staff were amazing! Water was immediately hot. Free breakfast-self serve for continental breakfast choices and you chose one hot breakfast choice. Waitresses were great! Food was good.

We were given a room overlooking the dumpsters and it got loud at night/morning when they were throwing glass bottles out. Bed squeaked when I moved and wasn’t very comfortable.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They took delivery of dialysis fluids for my husband and arranged extra extension leads and tables to allow him to set up his dialysis equipment, which made our stay stress free and relaxing.

The accessible shower needs another grab rail near the shower seat.

The setting was lovely Lady at reception was friendly and polite and professional Breakfast was good

While our room was lovely and clean it was just too warm and stuffy. We did open the window but because our room seemed to be above the delivery side of the hotel so we were wakened by lorries. That's it....not a complaint really .....just maybe turn the thermostat down ! Otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

Location beside river

No leisure centre. Room was an adjoining room so could hear my neighbours. l had booked weeks in advance yet a colleague who only booked on the day we arrived for a conference got a better rate & a suite! Kitchen needs to understand that gluten free does not mean dairy free as well. Both intolerances seem to get lumped together. A lot of noise from kitchen in conference room during training.

The Food in the bar was tasty and in the restaurant the following morning breakfast was great. Bedroom was comfortable with nice shower.

Service in the bar was poor. Our server was pleasant but family next to us complained to person in charge and got ZERO response - not an acknowledgement of the customer's issue, not even a word of understanding. Nothing. Very bad behaviour. Also, although charming to us, receptionist used a very abrupt manner on the phone to a customer while we stood waiting. And listening. Staff on morning shift were delightful.

Breakfast, room and staff - all very good. It's a 4 star not a 5 star so beyond food and lodging there is nothing to actually do at the hotel. (e.g. spa, pool etc) - it would benefit from those but perhaps there is no room to expand their offerings.

The TVs in the rooms are old, there is no mini bar and I didn't like the vending machines on each floor, it cheapened the place.
