We stayed 2 nights for my partners Birthday...the highlight being live piano playing for the 2 hours of our meal in the Conall Cearnach Restaurant...beautiful instrumental...My Cavan Girl among others. Most spacious hotel, large lounge areas, facilities for non golfers and children. Choice of Breakfast in 2 separate restaurants...table service only in one....very considerate for those with mobility issues or if a busy buffet is too much to handle first thing in the morning! Stunning views over the Golf Course from the Summit Restaurant...more than the rated 4.5 Stars...with a beautiful large Garden area designed by Paul Martin...just loved this.

Couldn't fault it.

Everything. The staff all friendly and accommodating. The food was top quality. Rooms were lovely, clean. The place is very family orientated and they were so accommodating when it came to kids. The facilities for kids were great. Plenty to do to get their day in. The gardens are gorgeous.

The place is massive, so it was a hike and a half getting from our room to the restaurants, pool, etc, especially with a 3 Yr old who doesn't want to walk and being 7 months pregnant. I'm sure if I knew this in advance about the distance to the room, they would have moved us if we asked. It's a little pricey for a 4 star, IMO I'm sure it was a one-off, but our first night, the fire alarm went off a few times at 2:30am. Made the next day for us dreadful with an over tired toddler and parents.

How spacious, clean it was, the beautiful grounds lots of disabled parking beside the main entrance

I had mobility problems, heart failure, advanced COPD & a tumour on my left lung. I do use a mobility scooter but because this was a wedding we were attending I decided to make do with my crutches, which was a bad idea. At the time of booking I did state about my mobility problems & asked if I could get a room near to the lift. I was given room 606 on the ground floor which with my pace of walking was well in advance of over 150 steps for me & I had to walk it to & from the room just to get fresh air. & I had to do this several times in the day that left me not enjoying the wedding. The whole experience exhausted me so much that I had to go to sleep in tie room to gather all my energy up.

It was a nice big hotel

I found the rooms too far away as I had an elderly lady with me and she found it very hard going back to the room. I know I should have told you but we were there for a wedding and I didn’t have the time on the first day. I was a bit disappointed as I couldn’t check in early for a wedding I was attending at 3.00 as I had my elderly mother to dress and myself. Than I had to leave the wedding to check in and move my stuff from my car to the room. Then I had to get on another queue to book breakfast. This took time away from the wedding I was attending. It caused me alot of stress before and during the wedding for me. This is something to look into for future wedding guests.

The breakfast was great, good variety of food and juices. The staff on reception were so lovely and helpful, especially Lukas. He was very welcoming. Great idea to have jugs to refill water on your corridor. The room was exceptionally clean and the bathroom products were lovely.

Drinks at the bar are a little overpriced as well as snacks in the vending machines. If you want to use the swimming pool, a swim hat must be worn. A little out of the way in a remote location so you will need to have a car or rely on taxi’s which are quite hard to get later at night.

Travelled with 2 young people with special needs, 1 a wheelchair user with high medical needs. From the moment we entered the hotel we felt relaxed and comfortable. Lots of space for the wheelchair friendly helpful staff, Fabulous pool and leisure area, changing facilities excellent. Beautiful gardens and exceptional food and service. The room was spotlessly clean, breakfast room service on time and hot, appreciated the room service fee being waived due to our additional needs. Overall 5* and look forward to a return visit. Compliments to the chef, staff and management.

Staff at reception, breakfast and around the reception area were very courteous and helpful. The view from the room was really beatiful. The grounds, as always, were immaculate.

1. Some of the bar staff at night lacked customer service skills and it was almost a hassle to serve you. I understand they are all busy but it costs nothing to be courteous and say thanks. 2. Lots of us were looking for a snack like crisps or peanuts at night after drinking for 4 or 5 hours but these are not sold at the bar. The staff directed us to the vending machines so I went and got change but they didn’t have any in there either. Sandwiches were available to the room only but the options were very limited.

We arrived early expecting to have to wait a few hours before we could check in but the reception staff called us after 30 mins to say the room was ready to check in after consulting with their domestic staff. We were on our honeymoon and they thoughtfully gave us an upgrade and complimentary bottle of wine which was very much appreciated. All the staff were amazing, kind, friendly and helpful. We loved the location, and the fact it was a PGA golf course. The surrounding area was beautiful and the on site walk round the grounds was so lovely.

Attended a wedding there and stayed overnight. The hotel itself is fabulous, the staff are so friendly and helpful 😊 The wedding reception room was beautiful, the food and service was impeccable. Our bedroom was the lap of luxury.......big airy room and the bathroom was biggest I've ever seen in a hotel. Breakfast was unbelievable, the selection of everything hot and cold, juices, cereals, breads and fruits....amazing. I could keep writing forever but I'm just going to go back and have the Slieve Russell experience all over again. Still have to have a round golf, spend a day in the spa and a game of tennis. I feel a few trips coming my way😁

Breakfast was excellent. The variety of food items was exceptional. The room was spacious with two double beds and a great seating area. Quiet, peaceful break in beautiful surroundings. Foyer area is welcoming and comfortable to sit and people watch and enjoy Afternoon Tea. Friendly, helpful staff and excellent spa facilities. Three restaurants to choose from along with bar and foyer eating areas. Children welcome. Plenty of parking and excellent grounds to stroll around. PGA golf course too.

Nothing at all. Everything lived up to our expectations.
