Catherine made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The house is very clean. Great breakfast. Plenty to choose from. Gorgeous homemade brown bread, preserves, fresh fruits, yoghurt, seeds, cereals, porridge, along with a traditional Irish breakfast. The kids loved the jug of hot chocolate. Comfy room, good shower. The house is located in a tranquil place surrounded by fields, mature trees, and a little church with views over a lake. Catherine was very informative about the area. We did the Cuilcagh boarded walk, which is a must! We also visited the Marble Arch caves, Brackley Lake, and Enniskillen.

Beautiful B&B with lovely gardens in a nice quiet location. The host was super friendly and helpful and we spent time in her front room playing cards in front of the fire. The cooked breakfast was really good, and we enjoyed the homemade jams. The home was very clean and tidy and I would certainly recommend it as a nice place to stay.

The house is located in really picturesque village, surrounded by mountains, with lots of lakes. The way itself was extremely beautiful. Its about 30 min drive to Stairways to Heaven hike and same amount to Drumshanbo Gin Distillery (we did both). Host is extremely nice. The Irish breakfast was the best I have ever eaten.

Catherine was a wonderful host who went out of her way to help us even before we got there. Giving us directions and help with finding the church where the wedding ceremony was taking place. ( a lot of back roads ) and her husband very kindly dropped us back to the hotel to collect our car, nothing was too much. Would highly recommend Lake avenue house !

I would recommend this wonderful accommodation. Catherine the hostess was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. We got a lovely breakfast with lots of choice. We stayed 2 nights as we did the Stairway to heaven. We really enjoyed our stay and could not fault anything.

Catherine was an excellent host, made us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was delicious, best coffee I had during our visit through Ireland. The location is serene and a great base to explore the Lake Counties of Cavan & Leitrim.

Catherine was a lovely host, warm and friendly from check in to departure the breakfast was exceptional cerials, fruit, yogurt and juices all laid out for starters and a freshly cooked full Irish to follow set's you up for the day. The accommodation has a very tranquil setting at the end of a road beside an historical church at the side of a lake, the only noise you will hear are birds singing or maybe a tractor in a near by field, overall a very enjoyable experience 5 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Gorgeous, serene setting by a lake, large garden with mature trees, a bit off the beaten track yet only a short drive to the village of Bawnboy (ca. 5min), and small town of Ballyconnell (10-15min), very warm and friendly host/atmosphere, clean, comfy and spacious room, great brekki, really beautiful place in a naturally beautiful and very historical area, great to 'switch off' for a few days, would def. stay again, thank you!!

It is a fabulous location, very quiet and away from it all. This is exactly what we were looking for. Our host was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. The cooked breakfast was really great, a selection of different breads and home-made jam. Wonderful!
