I've stayed here before and it's always been great. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, especially at breakfast. Breakfast is wonderful - lots of choice and nice strong coffee. The rooms are a very good size indeed, plenty of space.

The bathrooms are rather dark - the tiles are dark/black and there is no natural light. There's also no light above the bath (where the shower over the bath is), so when you're showering with the shower curtain closed, it's very dark, as the light is almost completely blocked by the curtain (as well as the dark tiles). They could use an extra light above the bath to help with this.

This was my second time staying here and I loved everything. Such a simple but fabulous hotel with great food and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and beds were super comfy. We also bought last minute tickets to the Tina Turner tribute show which was good crack and such a good set up with a bar inside the ballroom etc.

We did wait a little while for food at dinner but we were informed when settling the bill that it was busy and apologised for the delay. It's a simple apology that goes a long way and I will definitely be back.

the only thing that disappointed me was I had prearranged a surprise for my husband as it was our 20th wedding anniversary. l prepaid for wine and a box of chocolates, the hotel suggested strawberries with chocolate which they did for €15 and I said yes. when we arrived they were not in the room. I rang to reception they did apology and sent it straight up stating they had changed our room. however the strawberries and chocolate were about 8 on a grey plate which I was charged €15 for and the box of chocolates were a small/tiny Lily o Brien, about 6 chocolates. l understand mistakes can happen but I feel I was way over charged for what was sent to the room.

The room was very spacious for the 4 of us. We all thought the beds were very comfortable. We were able to move rooms when our bathroom door locked our daughter inside, this would have been a problem if someone hadn’t been in the room with her. When we told the staff at reception we were able to change rooms without any problems. The breakfast was very nice and there was a big selection of food to choose from.

Fabulous hotel. Always like staying there. Facilities are amazing.

I felt the service in bar quite poor. Alot of staff there but not very attentive to the people present in the lounge whether it's looking for a drink at bar or to order food..

Our room was clean and airy. Everything was A1 with the room. The food was superb. The staff were very helpful friendly and pleasant.

We went up town and when we came back the night porter had just locked up but he was still there and came out to let us in. He wasn't very pleasant and he was very short when my partner asked him a question. He needs to do a politeness course.

Spa was excellent, staff were very pleasant and accommodating.

The food was a bit of a let down. I tried to order avocado toast for breakfast and they didn't have it, and later that evening I tried to order a broccoli side dish and again they didn't have it and offered beans as a substitute. The most disappointing was the coffee. The first morning at breakfast, I was served very weak coffee in a tiny silver pot. The next morning I ordered an Americano which was the same weak coffee only it was served in a coffee cup. A four star hotel should be serving barista quality coffee. The rooms, although comfortable and clean, were showing their age. A bit of refreshing might be in order.

Rooms were a great size and the beds very comfortable. Great location next door to the supermarket and a short drive to the Main Street. Breakfast was great and a good selection of food. Staff were all very nice

No fridge but seems to be common in hotels in Ireland
