the room was very hot, even with the heating off and the small window open, you were unable to adjust the thermostat, however the manager did bring us a fan upon request and staff were very helpful with the matter

The two young women at the front desk staff were wonderful and very accommodating. As we were on a 16-day trip with only carry-on luggage and a backpack, we planned on using their laundry service, which turned out great. We dropped off our clothes after dinner and picked them up the next day when we returned from our day trip to the Aran Islands. Our clothes were washed, dried, and folded for a very reasonable price. The hotel is also in a very handy location to pubs, restaurants, buses and the train station.

Our room faced the street, and there was quite a bit of noise and yelling at night. The elevator was rather small, and the hallway carpets needed updating. However, the room was fine, and the lovely staff and wonderful location made up for it.

Beautiful hotel, helpful and friendly staff. Lovely complimentary drinks, snacks and chocolates on arrival. Comfortable bed. Location of the hotel itself simply, cannot be beat, so close to absolutely everything! Convenient and subsidized parking.

More attention to detail needed re. Cleaning!! e.g the coffee press/ machine had mould inside the cavity you put the pod into. I had to drink the instant coffee instead. The bathroom had mould and brown rings around the Shower and sink drains. The infrastructure is beautiful and I would hate to see it degrade at an accelerated pace due to lack of proper cleaning and maintenance.

Extremely friendly staff. From reception , to the cleaners, the bar and breakfast staff were all so friendly!

The only problem was we prepaid seperate for breakfast which was €15 each as we were told otherwise you would have to purchase items individually from the breakfast menu. The following morning after ordering coffees we were told they were not included. This added €7.80 to the bill. The full Irish was €13.95 which we both ordered so there was no benefit to prepaying for breakfast.

The room was larger then expected, plenty of storage, bathroom was very nice. The reception area was nice and understated. The room was very clean which is important to us, and it made us feel comfortable. The beds were comfortable. We had breakfast included, and it was very good and plentiful. The location was fantastic - walking distance/close to everything. My couple of comments would be that it would be nice to have some add'l shelving in the bathroom for everyone's toiletries and having a little softer pillows would be great.

The hotel was lovely. Clean, posh and comfy. The staff were helpful and called taxi to arrange travel and offered suggestions on buses. Water pressure could be better

Very disappointed at the restaurant. Asked our sever for food and drink recommendations and she responded that she didn’t know what was good and never tried the drinks. She was not helpful. Service was very slow, even though the restaurant was not busy. She did not check in after our food came. The food was yummy but the service was terrible. Sad.

Beautiful Hotel,would definatly recommend,staff so friendly and very helpful. Bar area very nice, Bedroom was bright and comfortable, supplied bottled water which was appreciatied .

On first morning my Porridge was cold but 2nd morning I requested it hot which was lovely, my friend also ask for Egg & Beans but the beans served were curry flavor and spicy, not the baked beans usually served . But this would certainly not put us off staying again .

We liked everything, had breakfast, lunch, cocktails.. Staff were lovely, professional, efficient, friendly Only one small hicup, see below.

When we arrived our room was not ready, so had lunch, were then told room was ready, when we arrived at room staff member was still working on it, we asked could we leave our bags. When we went back say 2 hours later, the room door was open, this was a concern, as we had left all our belongings in the room...

The rooms were clean and comfortable. the coffee machine wasn’t working or wasn’t user friendly, it seemed straight forward to use it but wasn’t and there were no directions. we used the instant coffee in the end but there were only 3(between 2 of us and we like coffee) of them the rest was decaf also the cups were tiny and black, I prefer to drink from white cups especially in a hotel where room cleaners usually washes the cups. They did give us a cThe staff were lovely and friendly. We had a beautiful dinner in the restaurant but although staff are very pleasant the service was slow, we waited an hour for dinner.

The room was so lovely and big. and the staff were super friendly. We went for our first anniversary and the hotel gave us a complimentary upgrade room as a good gesture. Breakfast was delicious and so healthy. I have traveled extensively in Ireland but the Hyde experience was the best to date. I will definitely come back whenever I visit Galway. The only thing that bothered us was that the hotel restaurant had very limited vegetarian or vegan options for dinner or lunch. I wish they had more portions it would be very significant. otherwise, everything was excellent.
