Sean and Carmel were incredible hosts, and Sean even ran us into Athlone both nights we were there, lovely people. The room was exceptionally clean and well decorated, and the bed was a pleasure to sleep in. Did we have Irish breakfasts? Of course we did, and they were excellent, well cooked and plenty of choice. Definitely recommended, and definitely on our "we'll go there again" list.
OK, if I'm being really (really) picky and looking for something, then I would say that a better quality of toilet tissue would be our personal choice. But, hey, that's being really picky - everything was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay.

10 minutes drive to Athlone IT (Technological University of Shannon) when you take the N6 motorway. Owners very friendly and helpful. House was nice and warm. Lovely comfy bed. I had a room facing to the rear of the house so no traffic sound but not a lot of traffic on the main road anyway. Parking on-site. Nice tables and chairs out the front of the house which got the evening sun in summertime. Loved hearing the birds singing and I saw a heron on the riverbank beside the house!
The lighting in the room was a bit too dim. Okay for getting ready for bed but I had reading to do and light was not great for studying. Walls are a bit thin between rooms but all guests were very respectful of each other so I got a good night's sleep.

The sink/tea room had good ventilation. We had a spare bed in our room. There was a binder of local eats and activities.
The hostess wanted me to run her over (telling me to reverse with her behind the car). The lounge was locked. We were close to a loud street. The mattress was uncomfortable, and the shower was small (for Ireland standards) and moldy.

The room was comfortable and clean. The bed was great and I had a good sleep. They were friendly and welcoming. There was a great choice for breakfast. It was so relaxing. I will definitely come again and recommend them to my friends. Great value and personal service. Everything was top class. Thank you.
Nothing negative to say.

Carmel met us at the door, showed us where to park and was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast (which was extra although was not given as an option on Booking.com) was lovely with lots of choice and well worth the extra money. The room and bathroom were clean and fresh.
The wardrobes in the bedroom were unnecessarily large which made what could have been a spacious room feel rather cramped and made opening up our suitcase a bit tricky. Could have done with another pillow each on the bed instead of small cushions. Although we knew the B&B was on the edge of Athlone, it turned out to be 5 minutes out of town around the ring road, which wasn't really a problem as we had a car but there are no restaurants nearby so we had to drive into the centre in the evening to eat.

The hosts went above and beyond. Their hospitality was exceptional. The location was perfect, easy to find and good parking. WIFI was free and quick! The rooms are large and the cleanliness was faultless through out the property. It's one of the best B&B I have stayed in Ireland and I have stayed in quite a few!
I cannot fault anything with the property or the hosts. If I could I would give the overall score 20 out of 10!

We had a great time at Carmen's place. Carmen gave us directions going and parking in Athlone which was very helpful. Room and breakfast choices were very good. Thanks to Carmen. All the best for your future. Kind regards from Germany from Sandra and Werner

The room was spacious and very cozy. It felt very much "at home", and I enjoyed that feeling versus a sterile hotel feeling. The host provided a wonderful breakfast, and when my partner was feeling nauseous, they allowed me to bring up breakfast to him on a tray.
The shower was a bit small, especially for my partner who is a tall man. Other than that, there was nothing I particularly disliked about the space.

Excellent breakfast. Good location.
I was a little surprised to learn that breakfast was not included in the original booking price and it cost me €15 extra. After all, it was a "Bed & Breakfast" so I expected it to do "exactly as it said on the tin!". Neither do I recall noticing on the online booking that Breakfast was not included but I could have missed that. The breakfast I did receive was top quality though.

Very nice place. Would definitely stay again. I apologize for the major doody stains in the toilet bowl. Had the "whiskey shitz". Excellent breakfast.
There was nothing I didn't like.
