A very clean hostel with a nice central area for eating or visiting. The patio offers fantastic views. It is quiet and secure, if not a little hard to find off the street. No worries though - other hostelers pointed us to the right door! The location is very good and restaurants are nearby. You can get a meal or groceries late at night and just around the corner. The beds were comfortable in the private room we had, and the towels were fresh. If you need a ride to the airport, make sure the staff secures it and confirms it for you in the daytime and when it is not a holiday. We couldn't take the train due to the holiday closure, and even though we had made a reservation, the confirmation was not secure, and we almost missed our flight due to a no-show. That being said, the kind lady at the front desk worked feverishly toward an alternate ride for us. We couldn't have asked for more dedication and effort. She took responsibility, and we are grateful to her for helping us make our flight. Definitely a good place to stay - better than some "four star" hotels we stayed in!

Perfect location and excellent value for six nights in a surprisingly large, private en suite room, comfortable bed, charming and convenient night table lamp, easy to walk everywhere and very nice views, good shower, great public areas with a gorgeous terrace. I am not a "hostel" person but this hit the spot for a solo traveler. Also quiet. Plus they brought new towels daily and had a clean kitchen with shared refrigerator.

The breakfast wasn't great, unfortunately. Not bad but no coffee and mainly seemed pre-made. It's a minor complaint. Also, the elevator is tiny so I took the stairs, which were quite dirty and cumbersome. And the reception and bar staff were sometimes hard to find (they really varied). But these are minor issues. It's a good value, clean, and central, although be clear it is no frills.

- great location just outside the old town (closest is the New gate), few meters from tram stop - good value for money (Jerusalem is expensive) - nice view from the terrace - nice design - pool table for free - cosy common area with cultural programs (concerts) every other day - 24/7 acces to chilled and also boiling drinking water for free

- cleanliness could be better (we received new towels with a bunch of curly black hair on it) - breakfast could be more variable (shakshuka could be made better :) - there could be a hair dryer in every room (you could borrow one from reception desk, but there are only 4 for this big hostel)

Our experience at The Post Hostel in Jerusalem was fantastic, offering great value for money and amazing cleanliness. The friendly reception staff impressed us with their warm hospitality and available guided tours. The hostel's prime location within walking distance of the Old City made it incredibly convenient for exploring the historic sites. We appreciated the availability of a hair dryer at the reception, and the common area with its bar, billiard pool, and balcony providing a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. Overall, The Post Hostel exceeded our expectations and provided a memorable stay in Jerusalem.

Unfortunately, the bathroom door in our room was a bit broken and was unable to close fully.

the breakfast the customer service and the housekeeping. we had our room cleaned everyday and fresh towels provided. the lobby area was spacious and big and you could spend some quiet time here instead of the bedroom. the laundry area was handy as we needed to wash and tumble dry our clothes before heading off to Jordan.

the WiFi was incredibly slow during the nights but was normal again in the day. breakfast variety could’ve been more. the room and bathroom was tiny but again it was just two of us and we barely stayed in the room so wasn’t too much of a problem. the price was a lot for a hostel but it was one of the cheapest places we could find in the area

The Post has an excellent location just a 10 minute walk from Jaffa gate into the old city. It's also right next to Jaffa Street which has plenty of eating and shopping options. The bar at the hostel was also good, with happy hour each evening. A lovely terrace to watch the sunset from! Breakfast was also nice. Both of our rooms were upgraded which was also appreciated.

We had a strange experience at check in, where we were told they felt we had gone about booking our rooms the wrong way. I think the underlying message was that they felt we could've booked one room rather than two and saved money, but this wasn't communicated in the best way and impacted on our arrival experience, making it feel more negative than positive. Ultimately, there was nothing that could be done about it, so maybe it was best left unsaid by the manager who spoke to us about it. Staff were surly at the best of times during the rest of our stay - difficult to get any of them to crack a smile! :)

We loved everything about this hostel, the wonderful and extremely helpful staff first and foremost (support at any time!!), the great value for Jerusalem in this great location. It has a super cool common area , and a great rooftop terrace. We spent Pessach there (as all restaurants were closed) with many other travlers, who ordered in food and it felt like staying in a big family. we missed this warm and welcoming atmosphere in all the other places we stayed. The double room was basic and tiny, but had all we needed and it was clean and the shower was great.

honestly nothing.. I think this is the best hostel in Jerusalem we could have chosen. We extended our stay and would prefer this basic but homey and welcoming hostel anytime over the overpriced, fancy boutique hotels which are plenty in Jerusalem...
