Exceptional hospitality from Joy and Evan. A cute, picturesque little corner of Safed with the guesthouse offering a quiet escape in beautiful surroundings. Joy and Evan really have the art of quality hospitality down pat, ready to chat, amazing breakfast (actually too much e.g. one of our nights was Friday night when no eateries/restaurants are open and Joy provides a pre-prepared breakfast on Friday for Saturday. There was so much for breakfast we ate our Friday night dinner from the breakfast and still had ample for the following morning). Rooms are air conditioned, have tea and coffee, fridge, hair dryer. If I could give more stars I would.

Bed was a bit uncomfortable but I'm being pretty picky.

I'm so happy to find the very closest to perfect property to stay, now and also for future visits to Tzfat! Joy and Evan were among the most nicest hosts I've ever met. And I travel a lot! Both are very friendly, helpful and welcoming in every manner. The guesthouse is at prime location almost on top of the Tzfat hill, great views from the rooftop terrace. Easy and free public parking a few meters away. Close to everything needed like groceries, restaurants etc. Guests would receive upfront a comprehensive and helpful description how to get to the guesthouse. Immediately fell in love with the Appartment/Suite. Not only it is immaculately clean and well appointed with everything that makes life easy. It was really designed (and artsy too) to create a cosy and real home away from home. Would love to come back in a second! BTW: The pictures at booking.com are real and would mirror the real impressions of the property at it's best. In reality it looks even more better. The breakfast is fantastic, and Joys Omelettes (with cheese !!) next level, just from another universe. And so are the bread rolls from my new fav bakery ;-) While Evan would take his time and sit with you after your delicious breakfast and mark sights worth visiting according to your plans and interests on a personal map for you. Thank you, Joy and Evan for having me, and for being the best hosts in the entire world ! ;-) Every praising review to your guesthose is more than true.

There is absolutely nothing to dislike at this property

The hosts were amazing. My husband and I felt like we were staying with friends. Each morning we were brought generous home cooked Israeli breakfasts with delicious breads, and spreads, a choice of eggs and wonderful brewed coffee. Also, Evan, our host was happy to advise us of places to see and give directions. Also, he was generous with his time and gave us help in every way we needed. We ate outside in a courtyard of a historical building. Inside, our one bedroom accommodations had everything we needed to be comfortable. The shower was strong and the beds were comfortable. We were in a stone house from Ottoman era. The location was excellent. it was very close to the shopping section where we bought seltzer, fruits and vegetables and nearby to the synagogues and old artist quarter stores and old historical synagogues. One caution is that most everything in Tzfat requires going up and down steps. We look forward to return.

The room was very quiet and has a nice patio with table and chairs. The entrance was private. The owners, Evan and Joy, were spectacular hosts, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, to point out things to do, and give us an overview of the town. They brought a large, yummy breakfast to our room every morning. There is a kettle with coffee and tea in the kitchenette area. There is a good amount of closet space. The walls of the room are original stone with vaulted ceilings, very pretty.

There is mold in the bathroom. I think it needs a good scrubbing. The blankets could use a deep cleaning (cleaning the duvet cover is not enough.) These factors were minor compared with the overall quality of the experience, but they do matter.

Our charming and cozy room (one of two in the B&B), the setting, our hosts (filled with good suggestions about our stay in Sefad), the breakfast … everything. The courtyard is also beautiful; we ate our breakfast outdoors the second day. (Free parking, at a premium in some parts of Sefad, is available very close by). … This was our third stay over several years; we can't wait to return again.

Honestly can't think of anything negative.

This is a wonderful property, meticulously restored and renovated. Joy and Evan are delightful hosts and very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed talking with them. Excellent breakfasts. Very quiet and peaceful, Free parking within a 5 minute walk was great. Our only issue is that my spouse is 6’3 and the bed was a touch short for him. Otherwise a perfect stay. We highly recommend this property.

The breakfast was SUPER! And the location was AMAZING! We were greeted by Evan, the host, who gave us all of the information we needed for a comfortable stay. The room was huge and spectacularly decorated. It is hundreds of years old but still had modern amenities. We loved that there was no TV (but they still had wifi.) Shower was hot, breakfast was divine. Joy made and served breakfast to us in the courtyard- it was absolutely delightful. And Joy and Evan are truly amazing hosts. We got to meet their turtle and cat, and we enjoyed our one night stay tremendously. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Loved everything!

The BnB is excellently located within close walking distance of the Old City and the main shopping area. Joy and Evan Yisrael serve an absolutely fantastic (and voluminous!) breakfast and were a great resource for local sights and information. The studio is in a building hundreds of years old and has a great historical feel.

Breakfast was served by the host at a table just outside our comfortable room, and it was great! Fresh-baked bread, eggs, etc. Strong Turkish coffee (our preference) was freshly brewed.

Something other than stones for a headboard would have been nice. It was a longish walk, with our luggage, from where we had to park our car (but both Evan and Joy helped!).

the owners were very friendly. They were eager to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. We had some lovely conversations. Breakfast was outstanding. Kudos to Joy and Evan. We highly recommend a stay here.
