dog friendly hotel, the check in staff were wonderfully helpful, the room was quiet, the internet was fast and reliable, and everything went exactly to plan. the breakfast was tasty, if a little limited in options.

On departure, the check out receptionist was beyond belief. A young couple in front of me asked whether the bar was open, as they needed to fill up their wattle bottles, and she kept saying she didn’t deal with the bar in an unnecessarily aggressive manner. She then stared at her screen for ages, not asking me a thing. I didn’t barge in thinking she’s busy, but then she took someone that came after me at reception, and blamed me for not saying anything. I’m with my bags and the keycard in my hand. I’m just there to admire the scenery. I should have barged in, apparently.

I came to see some friends from uni 30yrs ago and went to see a band from America and I found out that they also stayed in this hotel too!! Good staff, whether it's at 4am having a laugh or giving me extra time the next day when leaving after the normal 12pm. Cheers 👍🏽 'You stated a preference during booking for a quiet room. Was ibis Styles Leeds City Centre Arena able to fulfil your request' - I did not ask for a quiet room... I just preferred on first floor so I don't have to wait for the lift!!!

It was fine if there was any criticism... The towels were fine, but maybe a hand towel as well would be nice. Maybe if it was colder in the autumn/winter more of a duvet cover to put on top of the two white sheets that you had.

Quick reception, nice room, felt safe in the knowledge that only residents can access the stairs and lifts to the rooms using their key cards. There were facilities for making drinks and snacks in reception area(I didn't actually use these, but nice idea). I couldn't get my TV to work, when I called reception they sent someone immediately to remedy the situation. Breakfast in the morning was really good 👍

When arriving, I had to park illegally to pop inside to find out where to park. The control for heating in the room doesn't work, it is controlled by front desk (I was cold and asked guy who fixed tv to sort it, he told me this) but they did turn up the heat for me, so I was comfortable.

Everything was really great, location was really good only a short walk from the centre had plenty of restaurants around for both dining and quick snacks! I got there early and planned to leave my bags but they checked if my room was ready without me asking and I was able to check in early! All the staff I met were super friendly - the room was clean and all the amenities were good - had a lovely quiet room and though we only got up early enough for breakfast once what was provided was perfect

Great location, decent facilities, nice views of the city. WiFi was good. Communal areas are basic but modern and clean. Felt safe and secure with key card lift entry etc.

Room decor is a bit strange and 'busy' but can't really complain for a short stay. Bathroom could be cleaner e.g. there was some mould on the silicone and showerhead. Shower was powerful enough though. Some of the lightbulbs didn't work in the bathroom. The room lacked basic things like bottled water and biscuits and no mini-fridge. TV was laughably small but at least it was new. The hotel is basic but good value for money c.f. the rest of the country these days- we paid about £130 for 1 night. Parking is 2 mins walk away, but it's not hotel-owned and costs £20 per day.

Location to the city centre was perfect. The hotel was modern and fresh. With an overall appeal that looked like it was newly refurbished. Very clean and comfortable room. Good selection of tea/coffee. Staff were exceptionally friendly, informative and obliging.

We had a continental breakfast which was of an above average standard. My only 'gripe' was the logistical layout of the food. Cereal on one table milk on another. Bread on one table butter on the other. Caused a little confusion and added to the disorganisation of the logistics. It would make sense to keep the obvious pairings together

Finding the Ibis was easy and booking in was really simple and quick. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was actually very quiet and the windows did a great job of blocking the noise of building work going on all around the city. We're country bumpkins and we know cities are quite lively, but it was a nice surprise that the Ibis was as quiet as it was. Our teenage son has HF Autism and did not complain, panic or worry all day about anything, and especially liked having a room all to himself. The rooms were spotless, and the bathroom was lovely and thoughtfully laid out. It was very calming and the control unit for the heating/air conditioning was easy to use. I liked the over table on the bed that was a great touch and the heavy curtains did a great job cutting out the light. The bed was comfy and we all slept really well. We had the continental breakfast, but even that included toast, muffins and hot boiled eggs and a good range of cereal and fruit. It was all presented in a really nice way and the room was spacious and not too bright (a few sore headed metal heads were up by 8am and very much appreciated the darker areas of the room) and the chairs were comfy. The location was ideal for the arena especially after 11pm when coming back. Seriously cannot fault it.

Nothing. This is a big shock for me as with so many Heavy Metal fans descending on the hotel that day, we were expecting them to be a little apprehensive of us, as we are usually stereotyped as greasy haired thugs. However the friendly staff -including the cleaning lady we met in the lift the following morning- made a big difference in making us feel welcome and made the stay a great experience. I used to work in the travel industry and have stayed in a lot of hotels who could learn from the Ibis in Leeds as it maybe small but is very well run. It knows that most visitors are short stays and it felt geared up to provide a place of ease and comfort.

Great location and comfortable rooms. Continental breakfast lovely and free coffee machine in lobby. They will validate your parking if you park in Citipark and I think you get 50% off.

Bar closed early and breakfast was a bit “discombobulated” due to them starting cooked breakfast only recently and for those who had booked breakfast already having to upgrade if they wanted it cooked. That being said, it was only £5 each. We chose not to upgrade though. Staff member couldn’t find us on our first morning despite us repeating our room number and name half a dozen times.

Ideally located for where we needed to be,was able to check in earlier than expected. room lovely and clean and of a decent size, staff friendly and helpful. Good selection for continental breakfast. Would deffo stay here again

Only downside, was when we went to pay via cash, they needed some form of ID to prove who we are. Which fair enough is their policy, however this should be mentioned prior to arrival (unless I missed it) as we travelled light and didn't carry anything with us. Luckily husband had a bank card so could pay via card or we would've been left without somewhere to stay

The room was very comfortable and well equipped for our requirements.

Some service in the bar and breakfast area was very slow. On the evening there were long queues at the bar, staff were working very slowly, and there was also a shortage of red wine at a time when clients were returning from a concert. This should have been attended to earlier to ensure clients were not disappointed. During breakfast table clearing from one staff member was very slow. There was no haste in having tables ready for the next clients. When requested to clear a table they showed no interest in helping. Also at breakfast there were insufficient cups for tea and coffee and replenishment of hot food items was very slow. Boiled eggs were brought out 5 minutes before the close of service. Reception service was very good on arrival.
