The location was central in Assisi old town within easy walk to the Basilica. Restaurants and shops are nearby. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. Host Laura was so nice and helpful walking down to the square to meet us when we couldn’t find the street! Her daily homemade breakfasts were wonderful! Could not ask for a better host!

If you have never been to Assisi be prepared to walk and climb! It is a hilltop medieval town with stone steps and tiny cobblestone streets to get everywhere. Try to pack light as not only is it uphill but many buildings do not have lifts and the stairs are narrow!! But well worth the effort!!

A charming little hotel in an even more charming location. Laura is warm and welcoming, and prepared a delicious breakfast buffet that we enjoyed in the central breakfast room. Our room was clean and airy, and the bathroom was updated, though on the smaller side. We appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the hotel after check out so we could take more time to explore Assisi. Be aware that walking to the hotel from the bus stop (Assisi Link) at the city gate is all uphill (lots of stairs too) and was challenging with our luggage (it's a VERY hilly town). There is also a narrow staircase immediately when you enter the hotel.

Having extra bedding and blankets available in the room would have been helpful.

I reserved 2 rooms and 1 apartment for one night at La Zuppa Inglese. The two rooms were spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, and comfortable. The apartment was huge! It was equally as beautiful, clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was amazing.....A wide variety of fresh, homemade items, including egg cups, freshfruit, pastries, coffee, juices, etc. Communication with Laura was excellent. She was very clear with directions for arrival and instructions for entering. Laura was friendly & welcoming, and explained all aspects of the accommodations. Being a walled hill town, Assisi tends to have very small apartments that are often multi-leveled. Though the rooms were on the first floor (Up 1 flight of steps/No lift.), and the apartment was bi-level, access was easy. Fortunately, this was our 4th visit to Assisi, so we were familiar with the parking lot and the general location of La Zuppa Inglese. The location might be somewhat challenging for first-time visitors. However, I have no doubt that Laura would be helpful in guiding guests to the residence. La Zuppa Inglese is a reasonably priced, yet superior accomodation in Assisi. We will most definitely return!

Great location, comfortable room (including mattress and pillows), perfect host Laura taking care of all the details (cleaning, flowers in the room). Room is in another building and it’s only 4 minutes walk to the breakfast which wasn’t the issue. Shared terrace has a fantastic view. We’d love to stay in the same place once back to Assisi.

Anyone wondering whether this is the right place for their stay in Assisi should booked immediately! Everything about La Zuppa Inglese was perfect - the room, the location and the breakfast exceeded all prior expectations. And this is without even mentioning the delightful and warm welcome we received from the property owner!

Excellent location in central Assisi and close to Minerva Temple and to the Basilica of Saint Francis. Short walk from carpark. Host gave us very clear instructions as to where to park and how to find the accommodation. Host was very kind and ensured we had an excellent breakfast very early as we had an early flight. Room very comfortable.

The rooms are large and quiet. Breakfast is good and the host Laura she is very lovely !

The light throughout the house is a bit dim and the lights are not bright enough. #If the weather is cold, the rooms are a bit cold and damp. We went in June and had to wear a jacket to keep warm in the room !

Laura was an attentive host whose apartment was spacious with views to die for. The bath was a bonus where you could relax and take in the view. Perfectly located to explore the city and surrounds. Would not hesitate to stay again.

Stunning location with wonderful views of the old city and the mountains, only a short stroll from the main piazza. Tasty breakfast, with plenty of choices (cheese, meats, fruit, breads). Laura, the owner, was most helpful.

the fact that parking was 10 minutes away and it was all uphill to the apartment. It was really warm in the unit snd I couldn’t find any AC. There was no info for wifi and my major peeve is that no one meets you when you arrive to help you out and explain everything.
