We found everything to be fantastic,the staff, the location, our accommodation.Hotel Gardenia and Villa Charme is a seriously superb Hotel and we are looking forward to returning in two years. Any information can be sourced from the staff on reception with regards to the local area, including the ferry that takes you around Lake Garda and Bardolino itself. The hotel is perfectly located, just off the main road and only a 2 minute walk onto the promenade that takes you either towards Lazise in one direction, and Bardolino in the other.Its pretty secluded and quiet and the two pools are extremely nice,not big but perfect to cool down in as you relax beside them.Sunbeds around the pool are always available. Also,just across from the hotel there is a restaurant called Le Palafitte,superb atmosphere and the food is amazing and there is no rush to finish and leave,outstanding restaurant

Absolutely nothing

Our 2 week stay was absolutely excellent, cannot fault it! From the room itself down to the staff, everything was perfect. Rooms: From our stay, it appears that there are some rooms a bit newer than others, to be expected as everything can’t be refurbished at the one time, but even the slightly older ones didn’t have any faults. The bed was very comfortable and this is something we look for in a hotel. There is a small fridge which is very handy and always restocked with water and juice. Cleanliness: The cleaner comes every day to make your bed, a quick tidy and replace all your towels. The lemon fresh smell emphasises how clean your room actually is. Breakfast: Definite value for money and a great variety of options, suitable for everyone. Swimming Pool: Although the swimming pool is of the smaller size, it is certainly a nice experience. It can fit around 20 loungers, so it’s never too busy. Staff: Honestly the staff is one of the main things that make the hotel so good. They are always on hand with any questions that you have. Location: Perfect location, it is nice to have the 10/15 minute walk into the main part of Bardolino. There is a great variety of restaurants, good portions and not too expensive for a family of 3.

Great location on lake Garda, easy walk to bardolino but we also walked to the towns of Garda and other way Lazise about 1 hour each. Both worth a visit. There is a good supermarket 5 min walk away, a pharmacy also and bicycle rentals. Bus stop outside to go further if you wish, we went as far as Malcesine and got the ferry to Limone. Bus to airport and Verona easy also, especially using app. Hotel easily earns its stars, is well maintained and offers good value bar food. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Didn’t book breakfast but paid for one day, was worth the money. Bardolino is a good town to stay at, it has transport links to other towns and is very flat. There are some nice restaurants and bars also. We liked The Yatch Bar and Divinio mostly.

The local restaurant across the road wasn't the best to be honest although it was recommended to us from the hotel but to be fair we got a small discount.

We were made very welcome by genuinely friendly and nice staff. We were given a drink and had a chat with Rita about Bardolino and the surrounding area. Rita and the other lady at the desk (I didn't get her name unfortunately) were very nice and helpful. The maids were nice ladies too and very professional. Couldn't fault our room. A wide range of breakfast options- ham, cheese, eggs, salads, cereals, cakes, breads, fruit and plenty of good coffee! A nice range of teas as well. It's definitely worth paying extra for breakfast at Gardenia. The Restaurant across the road is fantastic and worth a visit, Le Palafitte, and if you stay at the Gardenia you can get discount on your meal.

I can't think of anything that wasn't to a high standard.

The hotel is just fantastic. Spotlessly clean, wonderful breakfast, (with a special mention for the delicious omelettes) great pool area and comfortable rooms. However the most impressive part of this hotel are its staff. From the front desk, the cleaners and the waiters/ waitress’, each and every person we met greeted us with a big smile and were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was ever too much and the service was beyond 5 star. Will be recommending this hotel to our friends and family!

Nothing - it’s was fabulous!

Very clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. Use of two pools. Location was great. 2min walk to Lake and 15min walk into Bardolino but it's a beautiful walk along the lake. Beside bus stops and supermarket. Could also hire bikes from the hotel. We had a great stay. Prices for food and drink in hotel were good.

Breakfast particularly good. Pool area was clean and tidy. Always able to get sun loungers. Close to town and shops. Service was good from well mannered staff. Very professional.

Small issues, an iron for clothes wasn’t in the room. One could even be shared on each level, on the landing. Bathroom window could do with a curtain.

Absolutely would recommend this hotel. Spotlessly clean and all staff very friendly and really seems to enjoy making the guests stay prefect. Plenty of choice for breakfast with again exceptional service from the staff. The welcome drink is a nice touch and staff member takes you to your room and points out great spots located in the town.

No complaints

The staff! Rita, Chiara, and the others whose names escape are so fabulous! They became friends after a 3 night stay. The pool is fantastically refreshing after extremely hot days wandering the lake. The location between Bardolino and Lasize was awesome. The hotel is spotlessly clean. I had a great time and was sad to leave. Grazie mille to the dream team at Hotel Gardenia!

Property is quaint and excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly and warm, always offering advice to make our stay better, or agreeing to serving us even when the kitchen should have been closed. Always clean.

Would have liked breakfast to change a bit - it was the same every day of our stay. Though there was enough variety.
