We’ve been staying at this hotel several times now, and it never disappoints! Location is great, away from the chaos of the city centre but super easy to get to it. For those who don’t have a car there’s absolutely no issue on how to move around. There’s a bus stop few steps away from the hotel, bus 25 takes you straight to the city centre where the train station is, in 17 minutes. Airport distance is just 10 minutes by car. Breakfast is good, wide range of food options, both savoury and sweet. Non-hotel guests are also welcomed to the restaurant and the bar , my partner and I have indeed enjoyed some drinks with my family, who came to visit us for a couple of hours. Our room was really nice, our favourite thing was the mattress, extremely comfortable. It’s nice to get a legit double bed with a proper double mattress. We travel a lot and most of the times the double room comes with 2 joined single beds, which is not ideal. Staff is friendly, professional and polite. A mix of younger people and adults , with different culture backgrounds. Love to see it!

The only small flaw was the shower drain, it seemed to be a little clogged because it was draining slowly than it should have. But it wasn’t a big deal at all, we only stayed for 2 nights and we had such a great time that this inconvenience didn’t cause any trouble to us.

The Mitico Hotel is 4,5 kms outside of the Bologna city center. The bus stop (number 25) is in front of the hotel so you take the bus to the city center quite easy. The hotel is very close to the highway so ideal for the travelers by car. It also has its free parking place. The breakfast is good and has variable options, even a waffle machine which many hotels at this price level do not have. The beds are comfortable, the room is clean and the staff is helpful. I also liked their check in and check out times, giving time to the travelers. No issue with wi-fi. Price/quality rate is remarkable.

Almost nothing.

The most perfect stay. The staff is so friendly, helpful and clear about everything. The entire hotel is sparkling clean. Smelling fresh every single day. You go out to the city and come back just to find your room to be perfectly cleaned: Fresh clean towels. New tea bags & coffee. Minibar refilled etc. The room & bathroom have a neat, beautiful modern design. The bed was huge and so comfortable. No lights coming through the thick drapes, making it pitch dark when you want to sleep. Very amazing breakfast that was included! Too many options to mention here (you name it, they have it) and everything was fresh and delicious. The location is great. Not too close to the city center for it to be loud and noisy yet not too far. There's a bus stop "Aposazza" in front of the hotel, take bus 25 and within 15 mins you're in the city & the train station. No need for taxi. We felt so comfortable that we extended our stay!

I honestly can't think of anything. The view might not be perfect from some, but what does it matter when you can take the bus/car and enjoy the entire city of Bologna.

Price.

One of the rooms had broken a/c (broke in middle of night and front staff knew because a trigger was set from their room too) and they told my parents it would be Monday before it could be fixed. That was Friday evening. It did finally get fixed (hours later) but they were exhausted from no sleep. No comp or anything provided. They did not even offer a room swap. Sorry I just feel that’s poor customer service.

The breakfast which was included was amazing! There was a wide range of delicious food choices to suit everyone from meat eaters to vegans. I REALLY appreciated the fresh seasonal fruit (the tastiest watermelon, orange melon, pineapple, etc) and a wide selection of nuts, dried fruit, seeds, oats and cereals to create my own healthy breakfast bowl. The dining room is large and attractive. The bus stop to go into Bologna is literally outside the hotel. There's plenty of free parking. The general layout of the hotel is welcoming, relaxing and comfortable. The air conditioning was effective and our room was comfortable.

Check-in! The room we booked months ago and confirmed in writing had been given to someone else when we arrived which was very disappointing. The next morning our room became available and they moved our belongings (without telling us) whilst we were having breakfast and we couldn't work out why we couldn't get into our room! Then to top it off, I discovered when I was in the shower that the drain was blocked and the water overflowed into the bathroom! When I asked to see a manager, I was informed that all of the managers were on holiday and wouldn't be back at all during our stay! NOT a great start!!! There seems to be a lack of communication, management and general maintenance.

We've experienced about difficulties in finding free space for car parking in Bologna. Since it has been a problem and the hotel offered its free parking space, we felt quite relaxed during our stay. The rooms and beds were big and comfortable enough. The breakfast which was included in the price was quite satisfactory. Although the mini bar in the lobby was closed at midnight, the gentleman in the reception always provided us beers and coffee. The staff was helpful.

I had problems with the cancellation of the pre-authorised amount on my card at the time of the check-out. I was told that it would be released within 24 hours , However it took 72 additional hours for me to be refunded, that was thanks to the customer representative in my bank. My e.mails were not taken care of by any responsible person at the hotel.

I like v. much the wonderful set-up of the breakfast n the food displayed n its wide diversity. A complete n very tasty breakfast. The cleanliness of the hotel, its halls, the carpet, the restaurant was impressive.

1. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of hair shampoo in small containers as in the other hotels. I had to squeeze the body shampoo hard to get a little tip of the soap. There was no regular soap. 2. The late timing of admission was another minor issue, but hard on us..- we reached Mitico hotel at 12:30 pm n the receptionist was strict in reminding us of the 2 pm deadline. We were tired as we drove from far away. We wasted time in mervilla looking at poor shopping, ice cream etc. 3. I wanted to have a body massage, but the receptionist failed to get one for that evening or next day am.

Location was perfect for us with parking space, near bus station.

Man on the reception desk didn,t even speak. He didn't answer at "good evening" or "good morning". When we were leaving, I asked an invoice for my company and was missing stamp. When I asked gis collegue for it, he just came put the stamp, gave me the paper, almost angry. Very unpleasent expirience.

Friendly personal, helpful. The room clean and as expected. Free spacious parking. Good breakfast. Although we didn’t use it, the hotel has a restaurant that you can go and is open until 22:00 which is good in case you didn’t have the time to have dinner in the city for example.

A little bit outside the main city, you need transportation to the city center. The parking entrance and exit was a little bit difficult because of the two way street. Otherwise none really actual problem.

The breakfast is great, lots of choice and staff available to top up regularly. The hotel feels a little ‘in the middle of nowhere’ with not a lot to do or even shops / restaurants or cafes for food / drink. We did discover a Lidl type store fairly close but it’s not obvious. You’re going to need a car or be prepared to bus or taxi. The rooms though soundproofed do not keep out the sound of banging from other doors in the hotel and that was a little noisy during the night.
