The Hotel is kept in a very clean and tidy state, it's design is very appealing and unique. The staff was very professional, as well as friendly! Taking in concidoration the fact, that we stayed in Italy, with the temperature being 36°, it was very lovely that the rooms of the Hotel had perfect AC, the room could be regulated (temperature wise), to our liking. Towel wise, there were countless of them. Outside our room, we were met with very beautiful art pieces hanging on almost every wall! The Hotels loby has a very pleasent and warm welcoming look, so from the very start, i was convinced that our stay at the Smy Hotel, will be a good one :)

The only little, very little minus was, that for some reason, our tv couldnt open Youtube, nor Netflix. But that aside, our stay in the Smy Hotel was Magnifique!

Very friendly and courteous staff. I had trouble opening the room door with the card at first because I thought the door would automatically pop out of the lock after I unlocked it with the card. The trick is to push the door open with some force. The demonstration of the technician who was called, due to my ignorance and the fact that I thought the card or door was defective, was quite embarrassing, but the explanation about it in the lobby was very amusing for everyone else. The room was clean, very compact, had a bathroom that was almost bigger as the room and was more than adequate for one night. Additionally, there was an LGBTQ+ demo in the city that day.

I had to book at very short notice due to schedule changes, so the one night stay was overpriced.

The cleaning of the property was exceptional. With every cleaning, the room became brand new; the toilets were sealed saying hygiene guaranteed and certain amenities were provided. The location of the hotel is significantly near to the center area, an approximately 10-minute walk.

The most negative aspect of the visit was the air conditioning. A/C is available on rooms controllable via the visitor with its activation when the card of the visitor is inserted to the desired slot. Although with my experience, the A/C kept turning off a minute after my activation of it and it kept repeating every time. When staff were prompted of the issue, they were able to activate it manually though in that case, it wasn’t controllable by me and control was on their side, leading to a bad experience overall with climate control.

This property was nice and close to the train station, really quick and easy to get to from the airport if you take the shuttle train. Decor downstairs was lovely, as was the restaurant (special thank you to Andrea!). Breakfast was decent considering it was included.

My room was not very soundproofed and consequently I was woken up a couple of times in the night by people returning home, and early in the morning by the cleaning staff chatting in the corridors. The bed was also very firm (however I think this may be the case in many of the older properties in Bologna)

The room was very nice . It was lovely and bright the decor was fresh and modern . Large bathroom. It was a very short walk to the train station.The bus station was opposite . I could walk into the centre easily where there are many historical buildings to discover. On the Friday and Saturday there is a huge market where they had a lot of women's clothing for sale . The value of this hotel was great as I had an unexpected stop in bologna and didn't want to spend too much . The check-in staff let me have a room early it was greatly appreciated.

The WiFi wasn't good in my room . I had to sit outside. There's a nice part with some chairs to sit . I presume my room as it was the very end room had trouble connecting. When I walked down the hall I had connection .

It was perfect. In the first place, was the cleanness, the furniture was innovative and amazing. The rooms are not small and the beds so comfortable. The staff is so friendly and kindly. The food is good as well. Service was on top level. With pleasure would recommend it to all the people going there. Location of the hotel was perfect, so close to the train station, to the airport (by Markoni express).

Nice hotel, good location: less than 10 min. walk from central station (perfect if you get to/leave Bologna by train) and only 10 min. walk from old city. Breakfast was ok for me; coffee machine makes delicious coffee. I had a room with good size, a double bed, facing the backyard (which was very quite; I could sleep with open window). The personal was always friendly. For whatever reason I got a room for disabled people, wich might also be very comfortable for seniors and/or prople with reduced mobility as well: lot of space in the room and flat shower.

There is no restaurant close to the hotel, but it was not a big deal: there were plenty in the old city, just few min. walk.

The room was a very good size, with a very modern bathroom.

When checking out, I was in a rush and notified the receptionist, but he made me wait when handing back the room card, telling me that the room I booked (219) was not the correct one, and that "hai svagliato" as he was sure I booked for three nights. That really worried me as I was short on time due to my train leaving soon after, and he questioned me when I had confirmed a night earlier that the booking was just 1 night. Aside from that rude miscommunication, the hotel stay was very comfortable.

The hotel is ideally situated to explore central Bologna on foot and a few minutes walk from the station if you plan on going further afield. Great room - cool and quiet as requested, excellent supply of hot water and nice toiletries (you will need to provide your own hair conditioner). The room also has a small fridge, hairdryer & TV.

A kettle would be a great addition

The hotel is located very close to the train station, to the. city's old gate and portion of the old wall, and the Marco di la Montagnola. (Little mountain park). The room is comfortable, and breakfast is good.

The hotel layout has long corridors with long circulations and not optimal for WIFI signal. The decoration could improve significantly. The location in front of the Old city ring (Viale Angelo Masini) is often noisy.
