Friendly staff in reception and restaurant, helpful too. Location very nice but too many 'fine dining restaurants' in walking distance (we look for simpler fare and a hamber / fries is nowhere to be found it seems) though a nice bar for drinks and a sandwich (tramezzini) is right across the square with a view on the lake (lago). Had a very nice stay here (besides Venice and Gargnano NP the only place we stayed 2 nights in 16 days).

The bathroom was big enough to have a bath, but baths seem to have become unpopular (against the price we look for).

This hotel offers exceptional value. My wife and I have stayed in over 500 accommodations in 23 countries during the past 10 years and rate this in our top 20 for overall value. A 10-minute stroll along the lakeshore or into the nearby village offers a wide variety of dining experiences. Secure gated parking was a prime motivator when we booked. The front desk was very helpful in assisting in our travel arrangements.

We liked almost everything in Columbus hotel, we enjoyed its central position and the swimmimg pool in the nearby sister boutique hotel Ludwig. But what we loved the most was the warm and welcoming attitude, nevertheless professional and efficient, of Reception desk personnel Fabiana and Claudia. Bravissime! Grazie! Looking forward to coming back again

We really liked our stay. Anyway in our room AC was a bit too noisy. Breakfast variety can be improved.

Cozy room. Breakfast buffet is very good with variety choice of food. Location is perfect that is very close to Bolsena Lake, just a minute walk distance. The staff is so friendly and can communicate in English.

The photos provided in Booking.com includes a swimming pool, but actually not situated in the Hotel but 100 meters away.

A surprise chance find: a period hotel en route to the north of Italy. Arrived late in day so didn't appreciate it fully until the next day. Own private parking, nearby electric charging points (for electric cars, very important!) very reasonable price (albeit off-season), huge bedroom and bathroom (rarity these days!), good working wifi, amazing dining room and breakfast. What more could one want?

this hotel has old world charm. it is classic, elegant, full of style and glamour…but best of all, the staff treats every guest as if they were the only guest. they always take time to respond to your questions or needs and make sure they have fulfilled your request. they do not rush off to the next person until they know you are satisfied. the breakfast buffet is unbeatable and the dining area both indoors and out are beautiful. I look forward to returning.

I liked everything.

Super comfortable and well appointed room in a nice hotel. Everyone was very helpful, professional and welcoming. It was very clean. It is a few steps to the lakeside front and we enjoyed a swim in the morning. Breakfast was extensive and good value

Our only disappointment was the cheap coffee at breakfast. Italy does the best coffee in the world and it would have been nice to have good quality coffee in the hotel.

Stylish, shaded, leafy, quiet venue. Great location on the lake, with wonderful local restaurants actually on the lake. Great breakfast.

The sister hotel pool water was rather cloudy, but the ambience was great, apart from the need to wear a swimming hat (provided at a small cost).

Breakfast was excellent. Location is great, right at the beach. Staff is friendly, always available.

The dinner restaurant wasn't a match in quality for the breakfast. The water pressure in the shower was comically poor. I could barely get myself wet, I almost didn't fit in the shower at all.

Dated but very big room. Breakfast is prepared early in the morning so at 8:45 if all if the eggs have been eaten, you’re out of luck. No big deal because there were other options.
