The whole place is tasteful, unique in its design, wood-beamed ceilings and frescoes in places. It’s charming and well located near restaurants and shopping, e.g., the Portici. The staff were warm and welcoming. Breakfast was an inviting, well presented buffet—there was almost everything you’d want and expect. I was moved to an interior apartment, meaning it did not face either street; it offered privacy and quiet. I really enjoyed my stay. I tend to be frugal, but I didn’t mind spending extra here.

Goldenstern Townhouse in Bolzano is a charming and unique place to stay. Nestled in the heart of the old town, the location couldn’t be better for exploring the city’s rich history and culture. The rustic decor of the townhouse adds to the immersive experience of staying in such a historic area. The rooms are well-appointed, blending modern amenities with traditional aesthetics, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay.

The absence of a lift is a small price to pay for the authentic experience and the excellent service provided by the staff.

I felt like I was in a room near Juliet”. There was a private balcony overlooking a courtyard. We entered through an almost hidden door behind a market stall. We enjoyed the privacy, but also the sounds of family life nearby. The location in the heart of the old city was wonderful. Also, they gave us a glass of Prosecco free at the restaurant. The restaurant was very good.

Two flights of windy stairs were part of the charm, but a bit tricky to carry suitcases down.

The hotel is gorgeous, ideally located, and extremely comfortable. The frescos, which date back hundreds of years, were a particularly beautiful and fascinating element. We enjoyed the breakfast spread immensely, as it was well-stocked and offered a variety of options that suited both of us.

I have no complaints or suggestions. The hotel is wonderful and we will certainly return. I've even recommended it to colleagues who are also visiting Bozen.

Beautiful design forward hotel in the perfect location to wander around Bolzano. The apartment was incredibly spacious with everything you would need. We only stayed one night so didn't get to take full advantage, but the room had a full kitchen and laundry. You do have to walk (about 5-10 minutes)from the car park to the hotel on cobblestone streets so be prepared to carry your luggage. There is a new lift to certain floors in the hotel, so if luggage and stairs will be a problem, request a room with lift access. Don't miss the tiny roof deck with excellent views over the city. Overall, nice stay and would recommend if you're in Bolzano.

The bathroom decor was quite sparse and the color made it feel like a hospital bathroom. Compared to the lovely design of the rest of the hotel, this felt like an afterthought but it was clean and roomy.

Loved this hotel and the decor was STUNNING. Location was perfect, right in town by the market. The staff were incredibly lovely and helpful especially as we turned up on bikes! Make sure you climb up to the roof top terrace as it has stunning views. Definitely recommend staying here!

Not the hotels fault but there was a lot of noisy music at night, but you are right in town so that is understandable - something to bear in mind

Maybe a warm porridge could be added to the breakfast menu? Maybe a few more utensils could be added to the in-room kitchenette? (Plates, bowls, a pot?)

Absolutely amazing stay, we loved it. Was blown away by how beautiful the place is and how friendly the staff were. We travelling for a wedding and family were all jealous of our accommodation, and it was cheaper than other places.

Maybe would have been nice to have a warm option at breakfast, although this is not really necessary as the breakfast has a lot of choices already

The place is amazing, the architecture. The atmosphere. The location. Just amazing. The apartments are spacey equiped with everything you'll need.

If you are coming with a car. The walk from the parking is quite a long 7 min walk with luggage for a family There is no piece of cake and we had to make a few trips back and forth. On top of that the building is an amazing 17 century with no elevator and the apartments can be 3 - 5 floor with steep stairs. It was very hard. I think all they need is someone who can help you with the luggage. Also coming with a baby stroller taking it up and down the stairs every time you wanna hang out really makes you think twice of going out lol. They need to have a stroller parking in the street level area. I notice other guests having the same struggles

The room was fabulous. Very nice decorated . It was very well heated . We didnt feel cold at all. The location is superb. Very central yet quiet . The bed was very comfy. I really loved everything about the building and the decoration. Really worth the stay

The only negative I could say is that it is a bit expensive .300 euros per night without breakfast . I find it a bit expensive. However Bolazno is an expensive city..
