Breakfast was excellent and they remembered how we liked our coffee every morning. They were very efficient and there was a good choice of food. The location was perfect. Just around the corner from the main square. Beautiful triple pane windows and double sinks in the bathroom with plenty of pillows and towels. We stayed in the Junior Suite which was quiet and comfortable as well as spotlessly clean. Since I had a broken arm, the elevator was very welcome. I don’t know how big the double rooms were. We stayed in a Jr Suite which was spacious and light. The owners and staff went out of their way to be helpful. Our last night there had been a fun music festival. We needed a taxi to get to the train station but because of a traffic jam, none could get through. Antone, the owner, rolled both our suitcases and backpacks down to the train station for us so we wouldn’t miss our train!

The room and bath were of a good size and were clean although a blade of dried grass was on the floor all three days and was not vacuumed away.

The room was very warm and the ac was not yet working. We had to keep the window open but the room was right over the outdoor bar and so it was noisy from 9 a.m. till midnight and then early in the morning the street cleaner. Perhaps if we had a room in the back would have been better but my husband would not ask for a change. The breakfast was not included and cost 22 e for what is included in the states.

Very nice location right in Central Bolzano, above the Walther plaza. Very convenient easy to find parking (use google maps only), with discount with the hotel. We found parking all 3 days we stayed there after skiing. There is an elevator that takes you right to the hotel, if you do not find it, all exists are nearby. Many drinking and eating options nearby. Nice quiet clean rooms and very nice breakfast. Very kind staff. Even though not super cheap, it is way cheaper than other hotels in the area, and definitely worth it if you want parking, breakfast and comfortable clean rooms for a ski trip to many of the nearby slopes!

You may find a bit of traffic in the morning but that is not the hotel’s fault.

This is a lovely family run hotel. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean. I liked the fact you could chose what you wanted for breakfast rather than pay a fixed amount for everything. It was lovely having the quiet bar to come back to in the evening for a drink. Within easy walking distance of the station.

While our room was a comfortable temperature when we went to bed, every night we would wake up sweating and the AC was no longer running. Since this happened every night, we wondered if the hotel was saving money on air conditioning. Whatever the reason it stopped running every night, it really disrupted our sleep. We would have loved this hotel if it had not been for this issue.

As several other reviews have mentioned, the staff and breakfast were exceptional. Everyone was friendly, and helpful. There was an extensive breakfast buffet and the coffees were made to order. The hotel has a central location, close to the main square, historic down town and has several excellent restaurants within walking distance. The gondola station was about a ten minute walk away. The room was simple but spacious. There was plenty of space to unpack, Wifi was excellent and the bed was comfortable. We had no view, but the benefit was that there was no noise from outside even with the window open at night. Although there is no private parking, the parking garage was only a minutes walk away and the hotel provide a discounted rate of 16€ per day.

Nothing, we will definitely try to stay here next time.

Location is good and took 6 to 7 minutes walk from the train station to the Hotel. The room is big, clean and quiet ! Breakfast is fine. All staff are very nice and helpful, and made you feel at home. I have written several messages and made inquiries for self laundry service, transport to the Hotel and confirmation for 2 beds...... before arriving. The Hotel responded in an acceptable pace.

Benny, the Manager was very personable, knowledgeable and helpful throughout our stay! His staff were all great as well providing recommendations for dining and things to do. The breakfast was really fresh and delicious. Great location - close to main square, restaurants, gondola and train station.

5 minute walk from the train station. Cool vibe including dark green/black marble stairs plus excellent lift. Short walk to many restaurants. Easy, 30 minute bus (bus 170 from bus station) ride to Seiser Alm cable car. Rooms fresh, clean, plenty of hot water. Great breakfast with many choices. Self-laundry for guests on premises, $10 for wash and dry together. Friendly people who work to make a great experience for their guests. Thank you!

Hotel Figl is centrally located in Bolzano, with a municipal underground parking garage within a block. The staff were exceptionally welcoming, kind, and helpful, making us feel at home immediately (they all spoke English, German and Italian excellently). Our room was spacious, beautiful, and incredibly clean. No problem that it looked out upon an air shaft, since the hotel’s location would have made a “room with a view” rather noisy. Our breakfast was the best we have had on our trip - please don’t tell the hotel that we sneaked a few items for our lunch into our pockets. Altogether a pleasant stay - if we return, we will surely stay there.

The parking refund provided by the hotel didn’t work in the machine at the garage.
