Albergo is perfectly situated for a relaxing city break in Brindisi with loads of great restaurants and places of interest dotted along the Port and the old city a minute's walk away. The hotel is grand in every aspect with beautifully appointed suites and incredible views of the Port with Argonnes Castle guarding the entrance. Also, watch out for the super yachts, which come and go most days!

A slight misunderstanding with the receptionist on duty (male) but nothing that couldn't be rectified with a smile and a nod! The hotel staff were incredibly patient and kind with most requests but definitely bring a travel iron as there are none in the room.

The room we were showed was not suitable for us so the hotel gave us another which was beautiful. Thanks to Marco ! The hotel is an aged old dame which I suspect was a magnificent private house. Now a little tired but still retains fabulous furniture from times gone by, impressive staircase, marbled floors and high vaulted ceilings. The hotel is on the quiet port (with beautiful sailing boats, in a piazza with no through traffic (except hotel guest cars). The breakfast included in the price was amazing with a massive buffet of cakes, cereals, breads, pastries, hot food and even home made pizza ! Very efficient and kindly staff.

Fantastic location, close to several nice bars and restaurants but not at all noisy. Beautiful historic building. Very clean rooms. Good wifi. Good value for money considering the excellent location and good standard of room. Comfortable bed

Room was very hot, was told air conditioning wasn't switched on at this time of year, something I would not expect in a 4 star hotel. The mini bar fridge didn't work, we reported this and someone came to look and told us it would be fixed the next day but it never was

l enjoyed every minute, mostly because the staff were exceptional! Bernardo who went out of his way to be of service to me and my husband who because the elevator was broken found the stairs to the 2nd floor very challenging. Giuseppe, who brought our perfectly made coffee within seconds of our arrival in the dining room every morning! All the beautiful and charming receptionists who all went out of their way to help us! The handsome young ‘Samson’ as we affectionately called him who carried our bags and laughed at my husbands jokes! I miss them and Brindisi already! We will most certainly be back!

The location. The architecture of the hotel our room was extremely spacious, clean and with a lovely view. The staff were extremely helpful, obliging and respectful in every way possible,! The only drawback was that the lift was out of order and our room was on the 2nd floor. However must mention that they carried our luggage without our asking. We spent 2 nights there and the lift was never fixed. The staircase was extremely wide and steps were low rise and besides we needed to work out a bit. After all one of the many greatest pleasres in Italy is the food and we definitely made it a point of making the best of that too !

The lift was out of order and remained broken for the whole duration of our stay.

My husband and I had a very relaxing time with the position and vicinity to station and transport and facility of taxi being our main needs. Giancarlo the manager and his staff were very professional and helpful during our time and the vicinity of restaurants and bars along the promenade made for a very delightful holiday. We highly recommend this hotel . The old world elegance was very much present with the renovations to the main entrance dining room and lounges.

For a long stay it will be advantageous to have the restaurant operating which I believe has not opened since covid.

The hotel is surprisingly beautiful and well located. I booked it to be close to the airport and had no idea how charming and well located it was. I was on the first floor and had windows looking out at the port, it was lovely.

They swapped my room with someone else and that was a bit annoying for a hot second when I accidentally walked in on someone else 😬 The staff was super kind about getting it right and apologized. Not a big deal but when you just want to relax a touch annoying. The AC also didn't work, or I couldn't get it to work and there were no instructions or guidance.

lovely old hotel very grand , a little tired in some places but that adds to its charm, beautiful location , room was very clean and spacious with tiled floor, big bed with lovely crisp linen. Found staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast could be improved , maybe less choice better quality. Only had one night but will go back again. Train station and airport within easy reach

A great first impression - It's an impressive looking hotel, slightly faded grandeur but very endearing. A major plus is the hotel's location, which is fantastic - right on the waterfront, and a short walk from several nice restaurants. I can only speak to the room I had, which was a junior suite (which the staff kindly upgraded us to): the room itself was aesthetically very pleasing, spacious, and had wonderful port-view. The staff were also pleasant and helpful.

If I had to be really, really fussy, I'd say it was a little tired in places - but really not a major issue for me. Other than that, I'd be hard-pressed to criticise anything.

Location was beautiful! Temps were in the high 90's when I was there but the hotel is right on the harbor and there was a breeze coming off the water. Front desk was super helpful when I arrived and checked-out.

Stay was only one night and I was very comfortable with my room. The bathroom toiletries were minimal but enough for the night. (I didn't have my own with me.)
