Lovely hill-top location with superb views across the lake. Lovely view from room. Furnishings were in a grand style, classic Italian. The roof top pool was cold and not very long but very refreshing with beautiful views from the terrace. The bar area was comfortable and a nice place to hangout.

Very compact shower cubicle. The footpaths from the Hotel into town were very narrow and keep switching from one side of the road to the other.

A larger bed would have been much more comfortable I paid extra for lake view, which was given only marginally since the room was in a lower level of the hotel, so trees impeded the view

The location is absolutely stunning and the locals were so friendly and helpful in helping us get from the train station to the hotel. The staff at the hotel were all friendly and welcoming and we got some great restaurant suggestions in the nearby town centre. The room was clean and well kept. We missed breakfast as we had an early train to catch but we’re already looking at booking for next year for a longer time as one night wasn’t enough!

The view from the hotel is amazing. Staff was very nice and we visited during off season. Bed was super comfy and absolutely enjoyed the little escape from hectic Rome. Breakfast was amazing.

The bathroom needs upgrading. Shower is very small and barn door does not give much privacy

We have stayed here before. There was a really good continental breakfast option with good coffee and juice options. The mini fridge was well stocked and reasonably priced. The staff were very friendly!

There was some work being carried out which started quite early on both days.

Everything. The decor and view. A simple breakfast but ample. It was so quiet when we stayed so I imagine the ambiance in the spring/summer must be lovely. The receptionist was so friendly and helpful. I can’t recall her name.

The shower was not warm for some reason. A small glitch amid it all.

The view was beautiful, the beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Excellent restaurant - lobster was mmm! make sure to book a place -it was full on a week day! Staff professional and friendly! And breakfast with a view!

Seemed too pricy for the off-season (no pool, no terrace seating) + very tiny + a bit away from the centre. And I had not understood that there is no access down to the lake from the hotel, which could have been stated explicitly (in photos it seems that it's just by the lake). If you want to access the lake - have to go a very long way through the city centre.

The view was spectacular. However, our room had sloping ceilings and my tall husband kept bumping his head. We booked rather last minute so this may have been all that was available.

The fact that other than breakfast you could not get even something simple to eat.

We truly enjoyed everything this beautiful hotel has to offer: from the location overlooking the gorgeous Lago Albano & the Castelgandolfo historical borgo, and very close to the Giardini di Villa Barberini & la Villa Romana di Domiziano. The hotel, a splendid Villa in itself, is just a 5-10 mins walk to the very quaint Castelgandolfo center and the entrance of the Pontifical Palace. The hotel is beautifully decorated and immediately you truly feel welcome. The hotel has various terraces & 5 floors overlooking the lake and Rome in the distance. The restaurants & bar have beautiful furniture, there’s a grand piano and the lake views are so inviting. There are 2 pools: one to swim on the rooftop with the amazing views and the other in one of the banquet areas (I believe more as part of the decor) with a gorgeous tile mural and beautiful “anforas”. Our room lake view was very nice, with beautiful linings and furniture and a contemporary bathroom. The service was attentive, professional and welcoming. All the areas were very clean. Breakfast was very generous and we enjoyed it at the terrace. There’s plenty of parking in the property and they have an electric car charging station in the property. We highly recommend this property and can’t wait to be back to this hotel to continue our discovery of the Castelli Romani area.

The location and the staff were amazing! The beds were also super comfortable!

The room facilities were minimal. There was no tea/coffee/kettle in the room and the room could have been better laid out for getting ready. I had to unplug the fridge to plug the hairdryer in.
