The location is countryside Tuscany, on top a big hill, about 15-20 km from Sienna. Outdoor breakfast has a view of the Sienna duomo in a very picturesque setting, with views of grapevines and olive trees. Nice pool for kids and relaxation. A great property if you plan to hang around and read/relax - not so much if, like us, you're always in the car visiting various locations in Tuscany, as you don't get to truly enjoy the facilities. Most staff were very pleasant and helpful, including the front desk gentleman, who recommended the Sienna horse race preparations, sending us detailed info that allowed us to enjoy a wonderful local tradition. Many thanks for that.

One aspect that truly disappointed was the attitude of the restaurant manager/sommelier. When asking for a Prosecco to complement our meal we were met with a very patronizing attitude, exemplified by statements that he does not like Prosecco, therefore he only stocks one type, instead pushing much more expensive champagnes, one labeled for the property. As our intention was to sample Italian cuisine and wines (nor French), this attitude was extremely disappointing. Similarly when asking for a recommendation of wineries to visit in Montepulciano we were met by a similar negative reaction from this manager. Our interaction with him was a stain on an otherwise great stay.

Not far away from Siena, just on hilltop of Chianti villa Curina has a relaxing and calming vibe, amazing scenic view and comfortable parking lot just across the street from the villa. Villa is surrounded by olive gardens and vineyards stretching as far as the eye can see. We had a lovely room with just a perfect view from our window. In the evening we have visited excellent restaurant from Michelin Guide which happens to be right on site and offers a great choice of wines. Strongly recommend the duck. Wide breakfast selection, comfy beds, dreamy pool area and even a small tennis court.

The wi-fi was slightly weak I would say. It was bit noisy in rooms maybe due to the fact it's a historical building.

The scenery surrounding the villa is absolutely gorgeous. Although it is located next to a road, it isn't too noisy (at least at the end of September). Good breakfast selection, although some of the cooked options cost extra. The restaurant on-site serves delicious food, but it is on the expensive side and don't count on pizza! Ample parking available - and you will need a car to get around! Siena is only a 25-minute drive away, and you can get to Castelnouvo Berardenga under 10 mins - handy for getting lunch/dinner - just remember to book your table.

It is a historical building - do expect some noise coming from the neighbours. You're not allowed to eat your own food outside, which is unfortunate since there aren't any other restaurants within walking distance, and Villa Curina don't do pizza :)

Location amazing and surrounding views breathtaking. Perfect location if interested in quiet, central location to visit surrounding Tuscany area. Restaurant food and service was tremendous with amazing sunset views.

Very small bathroom. A/C not turned on yet but evenings were cool with windows open. No window screens and had a few flying bugs during the night. We asked front desk staff to call nearby winery for tour. They informed us no availability. About an hour later I just tried calling myself. Had no problem getting into tour that day and in fact there were only four of us total. Not sure what changed or if hotel really tried.

Beautiful location, perfectly placed for day trips including Siena which was only a 20 min drive and Florence which is an hour long bus ride away. Idyllic little villages really nearby. Staff helpful and super friendly - make you feel at home. Lovely breakfast served on terrace with delicious pastries, fresh fruit, eggs, cold cuts etc. Bedrooms clean, spacious and in traditional Tuscan style. On site restaurant good but expensive.

Limited lunch options at pool bar and nowhere to have a drink in the evening after dinner unless you’re eating in the restaurant.

Villa Curina is beautifully located in picturesque Chianti countryside. Resort consists. of main building and adjacent buildings converted into hotel. there is parking on the opposite part of the street with plenty of space and electric cars charger. The pool area is spacious with plenty of sun beads ( very elegant, however not the most comfortable ones ), beach towels you can pick up at the reception . The villa is surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and manicured gardens, rooms are spotlessly clean. The view is breathtaking, you can see Siena on the horizon and the famous rolling hills of Chianti and most spectacular sunsets. You have to have a car here , then it is close to everything: little town of Castelnuovo Berardenga is just 5 min away , Siena 20 min , all the other famous Tuscan spots like Pienza , Montalcino , San Gimignano within 49 min- 1 hour but after the trip outside you can enjoy all benefits of countryside: fresh air, great local food and vine and starry nights. There is a dark side of countryside too in the form of a rooster in neighbouring property starting his concert at 4 a.m. and trust me , it is laud . Breakfast is served in the summer in the garden in front of the hotel, it is absolutely delicious, prepared on site, light lunch is also available and a pool bar. In addition there is very good restaurant “ Il Convito di Curina” - they don’t have a Michelin star yet but it might change as they offer high end Tuscan food and excellent selection of vines .What really makes Curina exceptional is the staff. Everyone is very friendly and helpful , customer service of the top quality . Thank you ! We will come again for sure!

Nothing, maybe only that 8 days is definitely too short stay.

This resort is amazing!! When you think of Tuscany, this is the place! My family of 4 (2 adults 2 small kids) stayed here for 6 nights and we wanted to stay longer. The grounds, views and buildings are beautiful. The rooms were spacious and charming. The staff were super accommodating, and the owner is a very nice man who is also an expert on wine. The breakfast is incredible, a very large selection of great foods! There is a restaurant on site that is very good with an incredible selection of wines (highly recommend this restaurant). The resort has a great pool with a bar that is a great spot to hang with the kids when it gets hot in Tuscany. The location is a perfect spot to stay if you are planning on traveling around to see all of Tuscany. There are tons of wineries within 10-15 minutes of the resort. The hotel has plenty of free parking (you definitely need a car here) which is a huge plus. There is a really nice town nearby with a grocery store called Coop (important for families), great restaurants and an amazing winery called Felsina. We had such a great time here and would definitely return.

Nothing.

The pool & bar area, breakfast, location, staff is generally nice.

The property says "pet friendly", however when arrived I was informed that I can't stay with my dog at the pool area. We stayed for 4 nights and several hours each day, so this was very disappointing. It doesn't say anything about it on booking.com so it's misleading. Eventuay (after they saw I was upset) they did try to find a solution - a terrace next to the pool - but it didn't work very well. The parasol isn't stable and the wind kicked it so it hit my mom in the head. Also, the restaurant isn't good and expensive, and when we brought pizza from outside to eat at the tables in the hotel area someone from the restaurant asked us to eat in our room (???) even though it's about 200m from the restaurant. Weird and unpleasant.

Absolutely wonderful stay. All the staff were amazing, a lot of good recommendations and communication throughout the stay. In particular Emiliana on the front desk who was always so helpful and friendly. The pool bar man was also attentive, friendly and happy. The hotel is very charming with the most gorgeous views. Lovely pool area. The whole place has a very relaxed feel. We ate at the restaurant several times and it was 5 star food and service, we could not fault it. We have travelled for a few months now and this hotel was the best so far. We will be back! Thank you.

Nothing. it was perfect

Breakfast it was really good, the staff as well. Giuseppe the receptionist was very kind and helpful. Also Edmond was always polite and he showed us around the building. Very clean rooms and wonderful ambiance.

I did not like the guy serving at the bar near the pool, kind of rude. Also the food in the bar needs to improve. Frozen pizza and other stuff not appropriate for the quality of the hotel
