The staff is definitely the best thing about this place. They are so nice and smiley. They madrinha feel incredibly welcome and we’re very helpful.

Bed could have been more comfortable. I mean don’t get me wrong, you will have a good night sleep for sure, but if they got a gel/foam bed topper it would make it quite a lot more comfortable at very little cost!!

Everything was excellent. We loved our room, the view was the best, heating was perfect inthe cold, rainy weather. I loved the balkony. Even had a piano in the room- which my son loved 😁 Staff is amazing- family run place, could not ask anything better. Parking was a bit tricky because the tight spaces, but it was manageable. Had dinners in the restaurant, very well priced dishes I recommend you to try it! Breakfast was plentiful, excellent to start the day. (scrambled eggs, salami, cheese, croassoints, jam, fresh rolls, fruits, corn flakes, 100% fruit juices, fresly made coffe)

It is at the end of town- very close to the train station, but better have a car to get around. There is no boat stop nearby. Varenna is about 10 mins by car.

The breakfast was fantastic and included in the price. Every morning we were greeted and offered coffee and a choice of scrambled eggs, and the rest was left for us to help ourselves to - this included pastries and yoghurts, juices and other condiments. The room was serviced and made clean with fresh towels every day, which was very nice. Staff were always incredibly friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone, the staff were genuinely so kind and helpful, and made us feel very welcome.

The double bed was made up of 2 single mattresses which was uncomfortable at times in the middle. The room was very very warm, which was eventually resolved with an electric fan, however this was very loud and squeaky which was not brilliant, however it did cool us down. The noise wasn’t too bad however the final night, there was so many people up and about till very early hours of the morning. There seemed to be people walking right outside our room, and leaving early in the morning too. We were woken up by the sound of many glass bottles (maybe the bin men) at around 4am. There are many bugs and flies that get into the room, and the benches outside after eating our meal we returned to the room with several bites on both of us.

Our goal was to relax and be away from the busy everydays and this place was the best choice. Dorio is a small village so it was very calm and with train and boat it is very easy to travel around the lake. The owners are very kind, they made us feel like home. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The view of the lake and the mountains from the balcony is beautiful. They also serve food and drinks, which was very delicious. I recommend it, we were very satisfied.

It is a perfect place hidden from the most exposed villages/towns in Lago di Como but only 15 min. by train to Varena/Colico from where you can catch ferries to the most visited destinations of Lago di Como. Great choice for everyone who wants to spend time in quiet place but close to popular tourist/sport destinations . The host was very helpful and kind. We will definitely go back again.

Our stay was super .everything was great .we had dinner there too .home made food by the husband ..very helpfull tips how to get around..the view is breathtaking..parking just infront of the hotel.brealfst v good also.

Perfect and scenic location. Had fabulous view of the lake, and mountains from the hotel room window. Breakfast was optimum and superb. All the breads were exquisite. The room was clean and cozy.

Very limited parking and no alternative parking space near the hotel. We could hear the vehicles passing by; which was a pity.

This is probably the best place to stay in this area! Beautiful view, nice and clean rooms, delicious breakfasts and most importantly - wonderful owners! Very helpful, we felt taken care of. I highly recommend this place. We will definitely come back here in the future!!!:)

- good localization - close to the most beautiful cities around the lake (Varenna), 5 mins driving to Carrefour express - restaurant placed downstair - very good food(recomended to eat there) - very nice owners, helpful answering with the smile on their face. - nice view from the room -

- hotel is located close to the street and rail station what causing noise at night. We were there with 2years daughter, so we had to sleep with closed windows. Advantage is that owner gave the fan.

The breakfast was great as there was a variety of foods to choose from. The location was beautiful! Especially on a sunny day it's worth having a stroll through the narrow streets of the town with the views of the lake Como around you!
