This is charming small hotel (only 6 rooms) that is a mere 2 minute walk away from the beach. It is attractive, well maintained, and comfortable. Each room has it’s own outside sitting area. We were in room 4 and it has a cushioned L-shaped stone bench that was surprisingly comfortable. The common areas are very nice. There are a couple of roof terraces if you want some quiet time. Breakfast is served 7 to 9:30 and it is your standard continental breakfast buffet, but the cappuccinos are delicious and made to order. Dinner was also very good and prices reasonable. However, there is a restaurant just a short walk away called I Cinque Scalini that has amazing food. Don’t miss it if you stay at the hotel, the gnocchi was awesome. I can’t say enough good things about the staff at the hotel. They were just fantastic. I highly recommend this place. Just be aware that the beach restaurants and bars, that are all super easy to get to and of which Altamarea is the best, are only open from May to mid September. We were lucky to be there in time to enjoy them and the beach.

This is totally understandable for a small hotel that needs to stay flexible but the “king” bed was actually two twins pushed together. Not the most comfortable although the mattress was good.

My husband, Grand-daughter and I needed an overnight stay, close to the airport, to go home to the U.S. and were very pleased with our stay. The location was perfect. Easy to find, close to restaurants, fuel and especially the airport. We felt that we walked into a little oasis when the gate opened! All the staff were friendly, professional and courteous. We booked two rooms, well in advance, and were pleased to find that everything was ready for us. Our rooms were charming and comfortable - and very clean. The morning breakfast was wonderful. There was a wide variety of food and everything we had was fresh and delicious. We will return when back in the area and will recommend to anyone needing an overnight stay near the airport. Thank you for an exceptional send-off from Rome.

We stayed here overnight before departing the Rome airport on an early plane. When we arrived, there was a constant stream of noisy aircraft taking off from the nearby airport. We worried that the planes would make it impossible to sleep. But the Intorno al Fico has installed heavy wooden doors that cover the heavy glass door to each room, and these very effectively blocked noise. The manager was very helpful in helping us into our room and in answering questions we had.

Very quaint and comfortable. The staff was outstanding and very accommodating. A short 2 block walk to the beach! The food was surprisingly excellent. They need to talk up their apertivo that was amazing. We had dinner too and it was quite lovely and excellent quality. All an unexpected pleasure! We even watched the beautiful sunset from the roof top sun deck!

Not many restaurants within walking distance. Close to the airport with planes…but the noise was very tolerable and we needed convenience to the airport for travel arrangements.

We only needed a place near the airport for one night. Rome is a 45 minute to an hour drive from the airport. We found the facility and the staff exceptional. Very close to the beach with a beautiful open space just a few blocks away. It is a great place to stay on your way home or to get over jet lag. I wish we had more time there.

Since it’s right next to the airport there are numerous jets coming and going all day long. The airport closes at night so there is no noise at night. The rooms all have thick walls so they are pretty soundproof.

location, we leased a Peugeot and the hotel is just down the road from the pickup location. it is not a boutique area but this is what we like about it. The Beach is nearby and airport only 10 minutes away. if you arrive at the airport remember to go to the local taxi stand (orange sign) and the taxi will cost E30. We have stayed in this area many times and it is safe and convenient. The hotel is safe and full of light and the breakfast is good.

Wonderful stay! For breakfast I had a dekicuous high quality croissant which i enjoyed with a cappuccino in the charming courtyard. The property is about a block from the beach which was the perfect place to go on a beautiful morning. The location is about 15 min from the airport which makes it great for layovers. This place was much better than staying in a stuffy airport hotel in that one feels that they are still on vacation! Staff was lovely and was able to drive me to the airport. Thank you!

I have never stayed at a B&B outside an airport but this place was perfect and much better than a chain hotel. It was a 10min drive from FCO rental car return with gas station on the way and the room was perfect and comfortable. We didn't get to enjoy breakfast but the courtyard was lovely, beds were comfortable and the host was very communicative and accommodating. If I ever have to stay close to FCO again, I will return.

Very quirky property with concrete floors, funky furnishings and not like anything I’ve ever seen before. Staff were amazing and the food was all home-cooked and delicious.

The noise of the aircraft taking off from Rome airport started at 0600 and didn’t finish until around midnight. It got annoying after a while so this place is fantastic for an overnight stay but any longer and I would be cracking up with the noise

it’s very family friendly hotel, very close to the beach. They have a small garden just in front of the rooms where is fun to play for kids. Also beach toys are available if needed (our kids appreciated them a lot). It’s nice that the restaurant is opened from 5pm, so we could have a proper dinner earlier. Transfer from and to the airport is quick and easy, plus much cheaper than the taxi. Very friendly and polite people working at the hotel.
