First of Florence is with perfect location for all major sites. Duomo, Galleria Academia, San Lorenzo, San Marco are perfectly close. Santa Maria Novella trains station is 10 -15 minutes walking distance. Uffizzi is also 12 min by foot. There is a Conad supermarket just around the corner. When you look from the window, you see beautiful Florence. What we liked especially is the classic charm of the split-level apartment. The furniture is not first class, but is well maintained and we felt in the apartment like at home. The washing machine and coffee machine are working perfectly. Tableware is a little basic, but enough for 2-3 pax. The double bed upstairs can fit 2 pax perfectly well, even with a small kid like us. We used the coach downstairs just for the evening relax. Perfect choice value for money property. I will come back, if I have a chance. The communication with host was perfect as well.

Just the issue with hot water in the bathroom is a minor discomfort. There is a specific, because of the old building I guess and the hot-water boiler, that hot water in the shower is running some time with disruptions (not the supply but the temperature). For me it was not a problem, since I knew about that from previous reviews and expected it. So, it is just a minor issue, which does not spoil the overall good experience from the property.

The location is excellent for viewing the Old town. The Cathedral is in view when you exit the front door of the property and from most areas around the centre so very easy to navigate to and from the apartment. We never had to avail of transport, everything was within walking distance which was a great plus.

Not that we ate in but had we intended to, there are very few kitchen utensils, such as pots and pans, just one giant pasta bowl which is not sufficient for an apartment. The shower ran hot and cold which was very frustrating as we were scalded at times and not something we could regulate so it was the same every day, we managed, but it was a chore.

We stayed in the 2 bedroomed apartment which was plenty big enough for the 3 of us and comfortable. The main bedroom was very spacious and we loved the tall windows. The apartment is secure with a key to access the building and then a key code for the apartment. It’s located off one of the side streets next to the duomo and main square so a fantastic, central location. Noemi met us as soon as we reached the apartment and we were allowed to check in straight away. Communication with first of Florence was fantastic and they were very responsive and helpful. The apartment itself is a 15-20 minute walk from the train station. Plenty of shops, bars and restaurants on the road. Would definitely recommend this apartment and would definitely stay again. Some of the lights weren’t working in the bedrooms which made them particularly dark. I’ve reported them to First if Florence so hopefully that’s been rectified. The stairs at the top up to the bedrooms could be a little dangerous for little children if travelling as a family. Oh and the sink in the kitchen was in the corner of the worktop making it extremely difficult to use it which may be an issue if you are making meals etc in the apartment.

It was overall a very pleasant stay! The rooms were spacious and contributed to a rustic atmosphere, there were three bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine (and coffee!).

The shower in the bedroom upstairs was not working. Also, if you're a light sleeper this might not be the place for you as there was constant noise coming from outside in the morning. I suppose there were a lot of bins or renovations nearby. During the last night of our stay, we did not have hot water and the fridge wasn't working, but I think this was a one-time technical problem.

Location was amazing. Our TV had apps so we could watch a movie on Amazon Prime. Good air conditioning. Clear communication from the owner/host. Everything was clean.

The washing machine did not come with instructions, and most of the labels on the dials had worn off. This was a washing machine unlike any one I’ve seen in the US. We looked up the user manual and, despite following those directions, I think the washing machine is either broken or needs to have extremely detailed instructions provided by the host. The front door to the property seemed to be malfunctioning because there was open access from the street at all hours of the day. It was supposed to be able to close, but it was mechanical, and I believe was broken at the time as well.

Location was great. We could see the Duomo from the street - just a short walk away. We appreciated the espresso. :) Communication was excellent - timely and had great pics of the entry process as well as helped us get from the train to the apartment. Responsive to one little thing we needed to have addressed in the unit.

Be aware that the steps to get up to the bathroom and bedroom floor are steep and narrow. It worked out fine for us, we kept our bags on the main floor and didn't take them upstairs. If someone has difficulty with stairs, they would want to be aware of this. I would also note that the unit is on the first floor and right in the core of the city so there is some city noise. It didn't keep us up, but you do hear ambulances go by to hospital that is near and construction noise in the morning.

Property is strategically located in the heart of Florence. Very accessible to the train station, bus stops, restaurants, tourist spots and shops. Though the property is a vintage, it looks nice inside and the bathrooms are equipped with modern showers and jacuzzi. The security is tight with many locks from the main door to the apartment door and to our room. We were amazed how antiquated the small elevator is. But we enjoyed riding on it.

The lighting in the bathroom upstairs should have options for bright lights , it has only dim lights. Looks like the flush is defective. After flushing the toilet bowl, the water is incessantly flowing a bit. That's why it already looks yellow on the side where the water is running.

The staff were very nice and quick to answer any of my questions. Their instructions of how to get into the flat and use the keys was simple and straightforward. The maid was lovely and really helpful, especially when I could not figure out how to use the whirlpool massage bath. The accommodation was big, clean and had a gigantic TV. It had a kitchen to. The location was incredible, the David musuem 1 mins walk away, the cathedral 4 mins walk and there's a café opposite.

The air-conditioned was in the side room and didn't reach the double bed as much as I needed so I slept on the single bed instead.

Amazing location and very good apartment, very clean and very well equipped. We were especially delighted with the amazing help provided by Lavinia. She was always very polite and made sure our stay was as best as possible, making sure we had everything we needed and helping us with the check-in and check-out. Without a doubt, I would recommend it to anyone and we will certainly come back here if we're back in Florence. Thanks a lot!

To mention the slightest of details, our apartment had low light from the outside, since the windows were towards an interior courtyard. Apart from that, everything was perfect!

Spacious house with charming interiors. Location was superb, next to Duomo and grocery. Bus stop was 10 mins away. ACs were provided in hall and all rooms which were very useful as it was quite hot the days we were there.

Instructions to open door lock was insufficient. After struggling for 10 mins , I had to call them. Similar happened to another family whom we met. Please write clearly , after entering password, knob needs to be kept turning left side till it's clicked. I wonder what would have happened if we had landed late hours there.
