Beautiful property situated in the perfect location to experience all of Florence’s most popular attractions and restaurants. The staff were amazingly helpful throughout our stay, recommending and making reservations on our behalf at various restaurants, and able to help with any requests we had. We were also given some interesting information about the history of the property upon checking in. Breakfast was in the lounge, a common area for guests; buffet style breakfast with cappuccinos made on request. Afternoon tea was also served here daily, included with the room cost. I couldn’t recommend anywhere better than here if you want to do Florence right and really enjoy your time there in luxury. We loved the convenience of being able to do some sightseeing and walking, come back of the hotel to freshen up, and head straight back out into the middle of Florence again. A perfect place for our honeymoon trip to Florence, thank you to the attentive staff for everything.

Breakfast was excellent. Abundance of choices. Eggs(variety of styles), fruit, cheeses, meats, cereal, fresh baked delicious breads and pastries, yogurt, cream cheese, jams, juices, coffee made to order. The lady in charge of the breakfast room was very attentive and quick to bring you a cappuccino or espresso or whatever you liked. Room was beautiful, spacious with gorgeous frescoes, excellent shower. My wife especially liked the his and her vanities with own sink which made getting ready a breeze. Complimentary coffee and tea and pastries available in the evening. Helpful staff. Super convenient location next to Duomo. Would definitely stay again. 4th time in Florence, best hotel experience.

Location could not be more perfect - literally in the centre and everything within easy walking distance. Hotel was amazing. Deluxe double room all 4 walls were decorated with art from floor to ceiling; the bed was huge - bigger than a king size and by some. Sheets were so soft. Turn down every night with a daily poem left by the turn down staff was a lovely touch. Staff were ever so friendly, welcoming and helpful at all times. Breakfast was continental but the choice was plenty. Loved the pastries, Cheeses, meats, smoked salmon, Fruits, breads, Cereals. Really cannot find a fault. 100% recommended

Bacon as a breakfast choice? Or is that just too English :) Don't have any dislikes - it was all fabulous

We were expected on arrival (not always the case) and the fact the booking had been pre-paid was explained to us (not always the case). The facilities were explained to us including how to access the hotel after the gate had closed. Breakfast and afternoon tea facilities were great. Courteous staff throughout. Rooms were beautiful, well maintained and decorated : must be seen to be believed.

Value of Tourist Tax was not explained beforehand, was different considerably to the amount stated on Booking.com

This property is a 14th century villa still in the same family. You really feel like you are staying in a building/rooms of that time period. Everything works properly (kept up). This is an exceptional place to stay. If you like history, staying here is living in it. The staff was great! The room was clean and neat. (see photos) Our room was huge. The shower was spectacular. Once again, I was looking to book a specific room, and we received it!! For Breakfast they have this room (see photo) with 14th century furniture. The spread for breakfast was great; smoked salmon, meats, cheese, eggs, bacon, pastries, cappuccino, Great! Then, in the afternoon, this room is a little relaxation cocktail room. They serve free tea and pastries, along with alcohol you can purchase. Get the spritz! it costs $15.00 but you also get more snacks. I has the spritz 3 days in a row and received a little different snack each time. On a side note, there is a restaurant across the street that is probably one of the best in Italy! (we ate there twice!) All in all this was probably the best place we have ever stayed, and look forward to going again!

Good continental breakfast choices are available, as well as afternoon tea or coffee, in a special room by the front desk. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. This is a very classy property in a great location just steps from the Duomo complex and the Accademia Gallery. The room was appointed very well, despite being of limited size.

Our room was fairly small; it was one of the lowest-priced rooms in the facility. The bathroom was also quite small. This is an older, historic building, so there are limitations relative to newer buildings, but they have decorated and equipped it as well as reasonably possible. The wi-fi kept going in and out during our stay, again probably due to the age of the building and thick masonry walls.

The rooms were so spacious and were beautifully appointed! The elegance speaks of Florence and the romance of this city. From the restful bathtub to the linens and other features, we felt so welcomed. We all loved the breakfasts in the fresco filled dining room, where attentive staff served us. Ee and our young adult daughters felt that staying here was one of the highlights of our trip! Magnifico!

From the greeting in the portico and car park by Maximillian to the gracious desk staff and dining staff, nothing could have been improved! Fabulous!

we thought the facility was like sleeping in an old castle or chalet. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom were both clean and comfortable. We had a nice surprise with the breakfast, as it was one of the best we had.

The location is, of course, ridiculously central to the main sites of Florence. On the other hand, it is in a busy area, which may not be for everyone.

The location near the Duomo Cathedral and all the other attractions of Florence was ideal. The walk from Stazione Firenze Santa Maria Novella was a bit much with luggage but the local bus system works well and we took the bus back, much easier. The Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo is such a historical site and the rooms reflect that. Perhaps someday we will be back and be able to use one of the suites. But even the more standard rooms were nice, although much smaller. The salon is great as is their breakfast. We really enjoyed the lemon almond tart which was a highlight of the breakfast. But the entire breakfast was very very good. The staff are amazing and very helpful. We enjoyed relaxing in the salon as well when not out touring throughout Firenze. There were a number of excellent restaurants & cafes and gelaterias nearby. Easy walking distance, particularly to the Galleria d’ Accademia to see the David statue by Michelangelo, but also to the Uffizi Gallery. Of course, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore is just down the block from Palazzo Niccolini al Duomo. It was nice to see and speak with one of the last owners in the Niccolini family.

It was quite noisy on Friday and Saturday nights but less so and Sunday and Monday nights. Revelry extended into the early morning time (circa 3am), including drunken singing and loud conversations.

The location is amazing and in view of the Duomo City Center, so it is very close to everything but was very quiet and an awesome historic place to stay. The bed was very comfortable, the turn down service and cleanliness of the rooms were great, the bathrooms and showers were great and fully updated. The breakfast was served in a beautiful room and had everything you would want before touring the city. Just a heads up, that this was a beautiful place and in an older building, so if you are expecting a modern hotel, it would not be for you, but you would me missing an experience of the owner being on-site, the true experience of Florence and a classic place to stay. I also have to give a shout out to Maura for going above and beyond trying to get us a courier service for our luggage, it meant a lot that she made that effort and made our stay all the more special. Because she worked behind the scenes and was always communicating the status with us, we were able to enjoy our visit worry free (it is hard to express what that meant knowing she was on the issue, and we could enjoy our day). I highly recommend staying here if you are fortunate enough to have the opportunity.
