Great hotel, right in the heart of the town, yet high above so not too noisy. You access the hotel by a quaint little lift up through the building - so you are level with the roof of the Duomo - so great views out. The hotel has a balcony you can sit out on and enjoy the bustle of the town below. There is coffee and cake available all day and the staff are very helpful.

Whilst there is a lift up to the hotel, some of the rooms are down steep stairs from reception so be sure to ask when booking if you need something accessible without stairs. The staff are also happy to help with your bags.

Top-rate staff. We were so happy to stay here and will definitely be back. Very clean room, comfortable bed and lovely warmed towels, so nice on chilly days. The location could not be better. Easy to move around by foot or by bus, and you can’t get very lost as you can usually see the dome. We also really enjoyed the breakfast, it was so nice to have sweet and savory options. The breakfast waiter is kind, friendly and helpful. One small note is to ask for rooms in the entrance level (4th floor, by lift) if you have any mobility issues, as there are some rooms that require steps. My husband had a recent injury so we were being sensitive about stairs but it ended bit being an issue, but just something to point out.

The considerable high price you pay is for the location, as the hotel is exactly near the Duomo. Otherwise, compared to other stays I have booked in Italy over the years, this one was below my expectations. The staff does not seem to communicate or to be eager to help (both with information or your luggage). Single rooms are literally incredibly small, I couldn't keep open my luggage because I couldn't leave or enter the room. Also, speaking of cleanliness, they could improve their services - the only chair in the room was full of dust, I had to clean it myself. The sink in the bathroom was clogged; I also found hair near the sink, so they didn't give me the confort of proper cleanliness or disinfection. The accomodation is to be chosen only if you select a double room with Duomo view or if you really want to book a stay at the Duomo plaza. Otherwise, it's not worth the money.

The location is superb - staying at a room with a view of Duomo was exceptional - the main attraction of the city is right outside one's window. Every main attraction is within walking distance. The receptionists were very nice and offered help with booking a table at a restaurant. Also, I received an e-mail from the hotel advising us about a friendly boutique restaurant just 3 minutes away, with really delicious food and great service.

If I were a person with reduced mobility it could be hard getting into the small lift that takes one up to the lobby + some of the rooms are one floor below the lobby, and one can get there only by taking stairs (I think). The A/C was fully automatic, there was no control over the temperature or intensity of cooling, however it was rather sufficient even during the onset of the heatwave in early/mid July.

Location is perfect right next to the duomo, close to the restaurants and shops. Friendly staff and accommodate everything we asked for. Breakfast is good.

Room is small with good size of bathroom.

The location was superb, very central... very peaceful terrace with the most amazing view. I had the single room. Was small but very well designed to maximise space, and honey decor. If a full length mirror could be squeezed in somewhere that would be even better. The leftover sweets from breakfast available all day as well as coffee etc. That dolce I had was delicious, enjoyed it on the terrace 😋

There were workers drilling etc doing work in the hotel from very early... interrupted my sleep though I'm sure this doesn't happen all the time.

the location to the Duomo was amazing!! I would suggest the hotel give walking directions from the train station. GPS gets confused due the number of buildings. This is not the fault of the hotel- but guidance to their hotel would be greatly appreciated by their guests I am sure. The breakfast buffet was amazing as well as the cappuccinos!!

You do need to use a very small 2- 4 person elevator to access the lobby level. it wasn’t a problem for us with our small rollers - but large roller could be an issue. 1 person and 1 large roller would only fit.

Fantastic location for those wanting to be in the middle of everything in Florence. The David was a couple blocks north of us, the Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio were a few blocks south, and the Duomo was literally right outside our balcony. You couldn't be any closer to the Duomo and all the action around it. The woman at the front desk was extremely helpful and friendly and did everything from pouring my husband a late night drink from the bar and arranging a 4am taxi for us. The room was nice and clean and has been recently updated.

It depends on the type of traveler you are, but if you prefer to be right where the action/noise is, this is the hotel to stay in. If you like to stay in quieter residential areas and then travel TO the action, I might look somewhere else.

The location was brilliant with great views of the Duomo from the bar area and some rooms. Very conveniently located for most activities in Florence as well. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful as well. A good breakfast selection and it was a nice touch that there is fresh water, coffee and pastries available throughout the day.

Fantastic location in the heart of historic Florence. The view of the Duomo from the balcony couldn’t be beaten. It was great to be able to walk to all the major attractions and then be able to take a break back in the lounge with a drink (for free) before heading out again in the evening.The staff were very helpful and welcoming.
