The staff at hotel Annalena is absolutely lovely, welcoming and supportive in every way. The facility is clean and well kept. Breakfast is okay and there is quite an extensive choice. The best thing about hotel Annalena is the position though, just on the outskirt of the historical centre has many parking spots at a walking distance and at the same time is at walking distance from the heart of the city. Value for money is worth it

The facility could do with a bit of renovation, even though the building is historical, so probably is not as easy to make changes. Bathrooms are dated (even if they are functional and clean) and the whole room is slightly shabby.

Very good location. Close to everything, walking distance to everything in Florence. 5 mins to amazing restaurants and museums. Hotel staff were very welcoming, friendly and always there when you needed something. Room was very nice and was perfect for our 3 night stay

The only thing that could have been better was the Wifi. Barely got any connection in our room (2) and would have to use our data roming

Our stay at Hotel Annalena was good. Our room was nicely furnished and very clean. We were lucky to have a pretty terrace with furniture and pretty plants. The bed was a good size for 2 people and the sheets were good quality. Unfortunately, the bathroom was a disappointment as it was very small. It was very clean though and towels were plentiful. The breakfast menu was rather limited. If more egg options, healthier cereals and prepared fruit salad were offered, it would be very welcome. The staff were efficient and pleasant. The location is perfect as it is 5-10 minutes walk from the Pitti Palace and other tourist sights and plenty of good restaurants

It was fun staying in a building that is more than 500 years old, and we definitely enjoyed our huge room and private balcony. The breakfast was delightful, and the staff was helpful in everything that we needed. The neighborhood is very pleasant, and on the nearby Piazza Santo Spirito there are half a dozen trattorias that actually begin serving dinner before the standard 7:30 pm time. Also, if Palazzo Pitti and Ponte Vecchio are on your list of attractions, both of them are just a short walk from the hotel.

Anyone who has problems with stairs should know that there is no elevator to the level where the hotel is located, and the high ceilings mean that there are quite a few steps to get to what is probably called the "first" floor.

I loved the history and classic stylings of the room. Unfortunately there was scaffolding in front of our balcony, with men working outside, so we did not get to enjoy the view or have the door open during the weekday. The room came with everything you need, small fridge, hairdryer, luggage rack, closet armoire. We enjoyed the neighborhood and the straight walk up the street to Ponte Vecchio. We ate everyday in our neighborhood and used the 24 hour laundromat across the street. The staff were exceedingly friendly and helpful and personally made our warm breakfast each morning.

There is not bar soap in the bathroom or a place to set toiletries. This is just a small inconvenience and next time I would just be sure to bring a hanging toiletries bag and my own travel bar soap. Also be advised, there is not a lift, this is common in most historical buildings, but might be an issue for some.

The staff were very pleasant and helpful, especially Celia at reception! The breakfasts were ample and the rooms were comfortable. It is close to the Ponte Vecchio and directly opposite one of the entrances to the Giardino Boboli. There are many good restaurants and cafes close by; ask for recommendations from the staff when you check in. A big advantage for us as we are travelling for a while on business, was the very new, clean laundromat opposite.

For those with large, heavy suitcases like us, there are 3 sets of stairs up to the motel. The receptionist offered to help us though. And like many buildings in older areas, the drainage in the bathrooms struggles. Other than these small items, we would stay here again!

Perfect location a few minutes walk on the other side of the river away from the bustle of the city centre. Lovely old building and gorgeous lounge / breakfast room. With a little luck Silvia will be on duty, she was SO welcoming and helpful and gave lots of recommendations for eating away the tourist trail, all of which were delicious. Very happy with our stay there.

It didn't worry us as we spent little time there in the day but especially if you are expecting a balcony and/or a view if the gardens next door do check whether the scaffolding is down, it was still up when we were there with no indication when we booked

This a superbly located hotel. Just opposite the Boboli Gardens, a 10 minute walk from Ponte Vecchio, and just ever-so-slightly outside the tourist throng. The hotel itself is a beautiful old building, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are very helpful and friendly. There is also a very good range of trattorias and restaurants within walking distance to eat after a busy day of walking around this incredible city. We'd highly recommend this hotel.

There is nothing negative to say about this hotel. Everything was as we'd expected and was exactly what we were looking for.

Perfect location if you want to explore Florence by foot. Located just opposite the Via Romana entrance to the Boboli Gardens in the quiter Santo Spirito area. The Church and the piazza are close by and is perfect in the evening for a stroll and a meal. Good breakfast buffet with freshly made eggs, coffee, cakes and bread. Extremely friendly staff! It’s the perfect pensione with guests getting aquinted. Room was spacious and with amenities as promised.

we had booked a deluxe Room with balcony, but the entire Palazzo was surrounded by a scaffold so it was not that nice. No view at all!! would have been nice to know in advance. the pensione is on the second floor with no elevator (no problem for us) so not for everyone.

It’s had an rustic Italian feel as well as a view of a garden. The water pressure was also very nice
