Our expectations were blown away by San Pier Novello! The location was great because it was far away enough from the busy city area but still close enough to walk to restaurants, bars, attractions, etc and didn't need a car for our plans. The hosts were so nice, welcoming and helpful, the breakfast was phenomenal and fresh every morning with delicious cappuccinos. We loved the history of the building and the frescoes. Big bonus that the Boboli Gardens are across the street which was our favorite part of the trip! Everything about our stay was perfect, highly recommend staying here!

We loved staying at this B&B! Our hosts were very friendly, helpful, and communicative. The room was comfortable and decorated in a beautiful Tuscan style, and the fresco on the wall was a stunning element. We slept very well as the streets and the apartment were very calm at night, even though there were other guests. The breakfast was a feast every morning. All spaces were very clean. The location is perfect, ten minutes away from Uffizi and a few steps from Palazzo Pitti. Martina, Mirco and Asia were a delight, answering our many questions, and with them we learnt much about the city and its rich culture. We highly recommend this B&B: it deserves a 10.

Firstly, staying in that flat/building is amazing itself. The staff, there were different people in different days, each of them very friendly, kind and cute. When it comes to breakfast we had everything we needed. If you have stayed in a hotel in Italy you would know how it looks like more or less. Definitly, they had better breakfast than the hotel we stayed in Rome center (it was 4 stars). Everything was delucious and fresh. We liked the location. It is just located next to Boboli Gardens. Around 1.7km walk to Piazza del Duomo. There is also one nice church very close by it was interesting to visit there during chrismas time. We have a child, so we also spent time in room , used tv. Just FYI there are a lot tv channels for kids :) Room was exactly like in picture.

Beautifully preserved B&B in Florence. The highlight for us was the super nice hosts, family run business. Amazing tips on what to do around Florence and always happy to help. The room itself transports you a couple hundred years back, yet it has all the modern amenities you might need. Also super quite as it faces an internal courtyard. Breakfast was tasteful and more than what you might need in the morning.

Nothing, one small note is that the location is a 20 mins walk from the train station and old center, we were ok with this as a daily commute.

One thing to say....superb location we were here for 3 nights. Fantastic host , room and very attentive the history behind the BB is always fascinating to hear. Minutes away from the Pitti Palace and Bobli Gardens. We were so close to the Ponte Vecchio bridge. Walking distance to everything. Get a Firenzecard on-line...definitely worth it ...if your an art lover. We bought the Duomo tickets separate again book early best time go 1st slot in the morning. 20 mins walk to train station, don't get cab or train.

The whole place is fabulous! The furniture, the lighting and the frescoes are impressive. It is a family run business and all the staff is extremely friendly and warm. The home made breakfast was delicios. The location is also amazing, within walking distance of all major attractions, but without being in a busy or noisy area (but we did visit in February, so maybe in summer things change). Overall, I would definitely recommend staying here. It’s a unique experience!

The internet was not working in our room. Not a big problem for us, since it works in the rest of the apartment.

Fantastic, small B&B on the quiet, less touristy side of the Arno river! Martina and her family took fantastic care of us and served a wonderful breakfast with cappuccinos every morning. There are even umbrellas stored by the front door that you can borrow if it's raining! We had the large apartment with the frescoes and the balcony and it was amazing to have this kind of history at the foot of your bed. The B&B is in a wonderful, quiet neighborhood with great food options and Pitti Palace/Bobolli Gardens just a couple of blocks away. I would not hesitate for a second to stay here again.

Absolutely nothing.

Very good location, comfortable beds, nice room and decent breakfast! Moreover, I found it really interesting that all these "frescos" at the premises are original! Martina was also very helpful and polite! She also recommended us nice places to visit.

The only thing that made us feel uncomfortable was the extra cost for late check-in. In fact, Martina assured us that she would be waiting for us (since we faced some traffic problems) but she didn't mention the extra cost of 20€ about it (while we had conversations all day long) and we got informed only when we checked out. Finally, if you have a car, please take into consideration that the parking isn't very easy and you will have a daily additional cost for it.

Great service from Martin’s and brother. Breakfast was so comfortable as her mum baked the cakes . Martina was so detailed giving us great recommendations on restaurants, attraction. We told her we were leaving earlier for a tour and she packed a take away breakfast for us . So thoughtful . The room was so nostalgic and huge. A lot of great bars and restaurants and away from the maddening crowd but still near to the attractions.

Can’t think oh anything

This jewel tucked inside Florence's Oltrarno district made us feel like home, even for Christmas, when we decided to relax and immerse ourselves in art and beauty. Martina and Mirco's family were exceptional hosts. They gave us inspiring recommendations for museums we can visit during the winter holidays, bars, pastry shops and restaurants where we can enjoy Tuscan foods and the greatest of Italy's wines. The room decorations and frescoes are superb, as well as the breakfast area. We can't wait to come back and discover more of San Pier Novello.
