I have been a recurrent visitor of the hotel for quite a few years and I knew what to expect. The hotel is extremely close to the Sta Maria Novella Train Station and very close to the historical part of Florence ( which is actually the entire Florence :) Situated at a beginning of a narrow cobbled street it carries all that glory of a fading beauty yet offers comfortable accommodation at quite reasonable prices.

There is something wrong with the breakfast and the servicing staff for breakfast. I have never witnessed unattended tables before after people who had had breakfast and gone; there was no one to order coffee to and I am really grateful to a lady who popped out of the kitchen and had the mercy of providing me with espresso!

The hotel is located in the city center and just a few minutes away walking from the main attractions. The area seemed safe and the parking is just a few meters away from the hotel entrance, indeed as it is a private parking is more expensive, it costs us 40 euros for 24 hours. The room is clean, and the AC worked great. The furniture is vintage, but everything was clean and comfortable. The reception is available until late in the night, which is great if you can not make it earlier. The breakfast was good, everything that you need, ham, cheese, croissants, yogurt, coffee and juice. We were happy with the service and the hotel, for a short stay in Florence it has a great location.

Great location, close to train station and short walk to most major sites. The hotel had great service from the staff and had the traditional charm of an older hotel. The free breakfast had a good variety of food and the servers were helpful and courteous. The hotel offers to hold baggage before check-in and after check-out, allowing us to do things in the city before and after getting into our room so we could site see without having to lug around our bags. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend this hotel as a great place to stay in Florence

The hotel is a little older and it is evident in the older decor. The carpets and bed spreads seemed old, but all seemed cleaned well and comfortable enough. The beds were okay, but a little uncomfortable, but I still had a good night sleep. Other than that, we had a very positive experience.

The location is really good - its very close to the maim train station, like maximum 5 minutes walk. Its also very close to the main square. The area around - there is everything - restaurants, bars, cafeterias, groceries etc. The hotel is historical - dont expect anything new or shiny, but everything is decent and well made. The hotel room which we stayed in was spacious, clean, comfy beds. Heating system was working fine. The view from the room pointed to the street where is the entrance to the hotel. Staff was nice and helpful. They allowed us to keep our bags at the reception after we checked out. Overall very good experience and I would recommend stay to anyone!

I wouldnt say we didnt like it, but the breakfast wasnt the top notch. I mean - it was nice and everything. Some pastry, eggs, juice, sweet stuff, fruits, cakes, yoghurt etc. They make you a coffee and bring it to your tabel - which is nice. They have decent espresso. Also if you want you can order some ham and cheese - but you have to ask for it. No warm cuisine, only cold one. I know its typical italian breakfast but I can imagine a better start of the day.

The staff is friendly, the 5th floor has beautiful view.

The room is a bit old and has mouldy smell.

Location of the hotel was perfect for us. Hotel could use a bit of renovation but it was clean and all what they offer works fine. Staff was very friendly and nice.

Breakfast was very basic with just cold food. In our room there was a window that opened in very small atrium (so practically no light) full of apliances (noise) and there was also smell in that atrium, but luckily room had one more window that provided much more light.

the location to the main train station and the centre of Florence is fantastic,. this is our second visit, we love that it is traditional and well maintained. the staff are always friendly and helpful we really can not fault the service, rooms of location… in July the air con was a life saver … we had street view room but was very quiet at nigh.

the coffee 😞 we were there 3 nights but only did breakfast once… it is a typical continental breakfast which we enjoy but there was no fruit selection at the time we were there (7,30) and the coffee was sludge like..,,, however there is a fabulous cafe next to the hotel so cafe latte & croissants were easily available . it would not stop us returning 👍

The location was an easy walk with suitcase to and from the train station. Plenty of dining options close by and the staff were courteous and friendly. Breakfast was included so that was a bonus.

My room was very basic with no fridge or kettle. It did have a bathroom attached though.

It is a 5 minute walk from the train station and is within walking distance of Florence Cathedral, so you can rest and tour in between. It is a clean hotel where you can relax comfortably because of the air conditioner and feel the tradition

There is no refrigerator and the room is small.

Short walking distance from main train station. Breakfast buffet has quite variety and nice foods. Although daily no much changes but alreay worth they money you paid. Lift car for easy access to higher floor.
