NH Firenze

Loved the size of the rooms and the comfort of the beds, the rooftop pool and terrace were an added bonus. Most of the staff were super helpful and friendly (all of the reception staff, the porter and the majority of the bar staff were lovely.) Easy to navigate to the centre from the hotel.

No offering for drinks or snacks during the daytime at the pool area. Evening meal options very limited and almost impossible for someone with onion and garlic intolerances so we had to eat elsewhere. The signs indicating when areas were opened seemed out of date as we were informed that food could only be eaten at the restaurant, but those indicated that food was available on the rooftop terrace.

Large, clean room in a modern hotel. Comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room service was good. The hotel is a long walk or a short bus ride from the historic center of Florence. This location doesn't have as much character or density of shops and restaurants as the area closer to the center, but we did find a cafe and a grocery within a few blocks' walk. Our room overlooked a park and had a balcony, which was pleasant (although there was nothing to sit on outside). There was traffic noise from the multilane road across the park, but the windows and balcony door provided excellent sound insulation - no noise with them closed. We chose this hotel for comfort, not character, and were very pleased with it.

Excellent buffet breakfast: tasty hot and cold options i.e., veg and rice and fresh sliced fruit, varied cheese and cured meats, lots of lovely pastries with a selection of jams and spreads. There was even a vegan station. Excellent room: spacious and airy. Great shower with green tea shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Good location: only a two-minute walk to the picturesque river Arno.

Only criticism is that in the August heatwave, it was slightly far out from town (20 mins walk), but this is the only fault we can think of. Thanks, NH Firenze - we will be coming back!

The Room was enough spacious, the Bed was comfortable, the view to the Arno and Park was lovely. Breakfast was average but nothing was missing there. The view from Terrace on the Top is really amazing. And the stuff was really friendly and always ready to help.

We had to wait until 16:00 (one hour longer than official check-in time) so that our room gets finally clean. And in the end the bathroom wasn't particularly clean (the marble part on the bathtub had some stains and the bathroom floor some spots as if they were leftovers of an old chewing gum).

Good location, easy walk to Florence centre or close to tram. Hotel clean, modern and a great breakfast!

WiFi sometimes a bit dodgy

The room we finally ended up in. The roof terrace, we didn't try the pool but it looked great. The location, we stayed here for the Firenze Rock Festival and it was perfectly located, access to central Florence was a beautiful 10-15min walk. The breakfast was amazing, there's something for everyone and even the coffee machine makes great coffee. Air con, yes and it worked great, it was so hot when we visited, returning to the room was a wonderfully cool experience.

OK, so my first impression of the hotel was quite poor. As a guest, I would like to be acknowledged when I check-in rather than being ignored while staff continue to discuss rotas. Our initial room, the shower fell apart in my hand. But that was addressed quickly and we were moved to another room. They tried to charge me more than I paid when I booked the room, including breakfast which was included in the price I paid. It was resolved quickly, but make sure you have access to the booking receipt and what you paid, before you check-out.

This is probably one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed at! Everything was top notch! The room was beautiful, bathroom huge! Loved the little touches, like slippers, since we travelled very light, was nice to put slippers on at end of day. The view from the rooftop terrace was spectacular! We took our own snacks and drinks up there to enjoy a nice break from touring. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! Tons of choices, hot and cold food and a wonderful coffee machine with many selections! Staff very friendly, helpful and kind. would highly recommend this hotel!

Staff extremely helpful. Room was clean and looked fantastic. Really comfy bed. Was expecting a double bed but this was more like a queen size, which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, really good food and a nice mixture of options. Didn't stay long enough to try it all, but wish we were. Evening drinks in the bar were great, not over priced. Only had a short stay so didn't make use of the restaurant, but it looked really nice.

Swimming pool and rooftop bar was closed during our stay. Would have been nice to use. Shower door made a loud click when opening/closing, but didn't effect our stay. Probably a bit unlucky.

The place is clean and has a nice breakfast. The rooftop had an incredible view from the city and the dome. The pool was great to refresh, my kid had a blast there and we could relax from the city a few hours every day.

The city is amazing for food, expect the rooftop restaurant from this hotel. The dinner we had there was basic and tasteless. The waiter was a bit weird and made us uncomfortable.

The reception staff we very friendly and helpful , a modern hotel of good standard , pool on the roof was nice after a day in the city. Although its a 20 minute walk to the centre we got used to this and it was nice to stay somewhere away from the bustle. Great restaurant called Boarderline just around the corner and Illusion outdoor club across from the hotel would be good when busier for a night out , we were told a lot of locals leave the city during August and head to the coast.

The pool bar didn't open until 5 and then the pool was closed at 6 to set up tables for the evening , the staff looking after the pool area didn't seem that interested.
