Plaza Hotel Lucchesi

The location is perfect to walk to everywhere and gorgeous views of the river and Ponte Vecchio bridge. The rooftop bar/pool was a big plus with 360 views of Florence and great drinks and snacks after a long day. The concierge Al was great for us, we did a fantastic day trip to Chianti Classico and loved it. He knows just where to send you. We also got the room with loft bed and it was gorgeous.

The price is very high for the hotel and nothing was included. I thought I had the breakfast included and when I checked in, they did not notify me that the breakfast daily was for additional cost and so at the end when I checked out, it was quite a sticker shock. I would have booked with breakfast had I known or gone outside to cafe for much cheaper breakfast. They should make clear the charges AT THE TIME you check in. Definitely trying to be a luxury hotel but with a more local feel. Not worth the value to me for two rooms 5 nights over $8000 USD

We had a brilliant stay at this hotel. The staff were happy to help with anything. The room was huge with a private terrace overlooking the Duamo, we had breakfast delivered to our room each morning so we could enjoy the view. The overall feel was modern and clean throughout. The rooftop pool had spectacular views of Florence and was brilliant to cool down in after exploring the city. Cocktails were served poolside as well! Valet parking no problem. The hotel is conveniently located outside the ZTL and only a 5 minute walk into the centre of Florence. The location is better than anything more central in my opinion as the further in you go, the less panoramic views of the city and the Tuscan hills you get. Definitely THE place to stay whilst visiting.

Loved the 2 storey family rooms which were very practically set out. Location is fantastic, walking distance to all the major attractions. Rooftop bar has amazing views and a very relaxed vibe around the pool for sunset drinks. Breakfast had good quality, varied options. Staff were mostly very helpful. We would absolutely return.

One member of staff was particularly unhelpful (repeatedly) at breakfast. To the extent that on day 3 we stopped going there, as she was so unwelcoming. The other breakfast staff were wonderful.

The view was amazing and the room amenities were very nice. Room was comfortable and the staff were lovely and nice. We had a high floor and everything was clean and well maintained. We even made it to the roof top bar, which was lovely.

The shower was a little small and the water pressure was odd. Not enough room to shave legs for example and no way to keep the floor dry. Our balcony was nice, but the folks from the roof bar were looking down on us and that was not welcome. We also had two twin beds instead of one big bed which was odd.

Stayed for a wedding anniversary and got upgraded to a river view room flooded with natural light, spacious with separate TV and sofa area, very clean (both hotel and room), large comfortable bed, great shower pressure in the bathroom, separate dressing area and space for luggage, prompt and friendly room service, quick turn around on dry cleaning, concierge was great with recommendations on restaurants & overall v friendly and helpful staff. Loved the rooftop area with pool for aperitivos and stunning Florentine sunset - do not miss!

Everything was perfect. The location along the Arno made it easy to reach everything. The staff was friendly and professional, and the room was clean and comfortable (with a view of Santa Croce and the Duomo). The rooftop bar had the best views I've ever experienced at a bar in Florence (and I've lived in Florence). Lastly, we were traveling with 2 small dogs and the hotel was friendly and accommodating to them.

We liked everything about this hotel. It is a 10 minute walk from the main part of the city-about 15 straight to the Ponte Vecchio. The room was large and very clean, and we had great views. Our only problem was that the heat did not work as well as it could have, but the hotel comped our breakfast to make up for it. The staff is efficient and courteous, and do everything they can to make guests feel comfortable and welcome.

The room we had with the private balcony facing the Dome was wonderful. What a treat to wake up every morning and see such a beautiful view of Florence. The hotel was in a great location; super easy to walk nearly anywhere in the City. The view from the rooftop bar/lounge was phenomenal and the staff was always welcoming and friendly. I would stay here again.

My only complaint was the lack of available real coffee. We don't usually eat breakfast, and didn't want to pay $16 for the breakfast buffet to only have coffee. That being said, the first day the concierge was very nice and offered to let us go to breakfast and just have free coffee, the second morning we were told to go to the roof bar. The roofbar didn't open until 12 but the staff there was very kind and made us coffee anyway. The rest of our days we just decided to go out and find coffee outside the hotel rather than continuing to ask the staff. For the price of the hotel, I would expect to have easier access to coffee in the morning. But I can't reiterate enough how kind and helpful the staff were each and every day.

Great location, within walking distance of all the major attractions, close to the Orno and many shops, cafes and restaurants. Beautiful, clean and comfortable accommodations. Elegant and modern interior of a historic building along the river.

The door to the bathroom in our room, 411, was super squeaky, so my partner who likes to sleep in was disturbed every time I awoke earlier than him. Minor issue, which we never brought to management’s attention. Staff would have attended to it, I’m sure, but we didn’t think it was worth the bother.

Amazing view from room of the Duomo. Breakfast was good. Lots of options. Staff VERY attentive and helpful..-Great thanks and shout out to Michele, Aldo, Romano and Giovanni! Great recommendations for some local food options in addition to some of the Michelin places we also enjoyed.

Bed was a bit firm for our taste, but nothing to deter us from coming back.
