A great variety for breakfast, pretty much anything you could want and all very good and well presented, the coffee was perfect and plentiful. We ate on the terrace with views of the city just over the river, a five to ten minutes walk and you are in the city. The location was perfect for wandering either in its neighbourhood or in the city and close enough to walk to all the main attractions. We walked over at night after a lovely meal near the hotel and it was very pretty with all the little lights. The hotel rooms are very nice and we were lucky enough to get an upgrade to one of the recently renovated rooms which was spacious and fab bathroom.

Nothing, I would recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Florence and doesn't want to be in the thick of it as its beautiful, in the perfect spot and the staff are lovely, just a great place all round.

The hotel is located in a historic house in the old town, so it is very cozy and nice to stay there. And the rooms themselves are quite modern, which makes your stay even more pleasant. The location is quite convenient, you can walk to the center of the old town in 15-20 minutes.

Breakfast is really poor. When the food runs out, it is almost never served again. We were also very surprised that there were no vegetables for breakfast, and after all, Italy grows so many tomatoes and cucumbers :)

Key selling point is the location overlooking River Arno and towards the historic centre, roughly 5-10 minutes walk to the main attractions, also close to the Boboli gardens and Oltrarno quarter. The staff were always friendly and professional, and we had a lovely surprise on arrival to find our room had been upgraded with views of the river and old town. The hotel interior is a quirky mix of traditional and modern outfitting, with a large terrace overlooking the river,and the rooms are faultlessly clean and comfortable. Silla is rated 3-star but it is easily 4-star standard in our opinion and great value for money!

Nothing, perhaps the breakfast could have been varied a bit more, but always fresh fruit and excellent coffee.

The mix of old and new. The traditional shared spaces and the modern comfortable rooms. The staff were lovely - especially one of the ladies on the front reception desk and one of the ladies at breakfast - but all were really friendly and helpful.

Items weren’t always replenished (shampoo etc). There was no kettle in one room and no mugs in the other when we arrived. There was a strange smell in our rooms that we couldn’t quite put our finger on!

We loved the Hotel Silla. It’s in a great location, over the river and away from the busy centre but walking distance to most of the places we wanted to go to. Our room was big and clean, with a really comfy bed and fantastic air conditioning. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good too and the real honeycomb was an unusual treat. The big terrace is another bonus. Good bars and restaurants in the vicinity.

I really liked the staff in this hotel, they were very kind. thanks to Roland who was always there in the night shift that provides us with extra towels and bed sheets to our room. the hotel is authentic and makes you feel the real Italian experience. the location is great because it’s not between the tinny streets of Florence, it’s located within 10 mins walking from the center which makes it more open. the walk from the hotel to the center is so cool because it’s all by river. I highly recommend giving this hotel a try.

The location is good ; only 5 min from ponte vecchio and 10 min from plazza vecchio. The staff is very nice and helpful, they speak 3 languages (Italiano, English, Frrançais). The room is AWESOME, the bed (king size) is so comfortable. The bathroom is spacious. Finally, the breakfast is perfect ; full, lot of choice and great quality.

Our room was very old (different from the pictures), however, the room was clean, spacious and very quiet (we asked for a quiet room :) The breakfast is indeed very good! The hotels is also in a perfect location - a few mins to the historic centre.

Parking is 30 EUR per night. The room could be updated and in room safe is very small (only fits passports...).

Location is perfect. Peaceful neighbourhood. Staff super professional. Clean rooms towels and sheets. Hot water. Hotel is pretty. Would stay here again if i visit Florence.

Great location, only 10 mins to Ponte Vecchio and 5 to piazzale Michelangelo. loved the terraces for breakfast and when you need a break from the busy city in the afternoon. you can buy drinks here or bring your own. staff was incredibly nice all around and super helpful with any requests we had . very comfortable bed

nothing big really, the bathroom could have been cleaned a bit more, there was no soap dish which made it messy around the sink and the water wouldn’t always drain, but those are small issues and we would still stay here again
