Our Third trip to Genoa but by far the best location and experience here right on edge of the bustling old town. Close walking to the magnificent port area, restaurants galore, shopping allies to explore at your doorstep. We had the ‘suite’ on 5th floor which was huge and had 2 balconies overlooking the san Matteo Piazza. Fun to watch the world go by below, a couple of weddings in church below us, early morning deliveries with trucks navigating the narrow alleys and so on. But best of all was Giorgio’s attention to detail with and amazing breakfasts. He was also kind enough to print off train tickets we needed. You need to walk up one flight of stairs to first floor to get the lift to the fifth floor so not suitable if mobility is an issue. The lift is tiny so not good if you have claustrophobia :). But fun. If we were staying again in Genoa our number one choice would be Piccoli Leoni. Thank you for everything.

Really 100% perfect. Only tiny suggestion would be possibly to have a small wall mirror in bedroom or lounge

We had a two-room suite which is very spacious and clean. The location is very convenient. The breakfast is excellent! On the last day, the host kindly moved the breakfast to 8:15 am to accommodate our travel schedule.

The only drawback is that it did not have AC. The fan works but I am a sensitive to noise so I had to turn the fan speed to minimum. Also, the breakfast starts at 8:30 but I had to leave at 8:20 everyday so I did not get to eat until the last day (see above).

We loved everything about our stay at B&B Piccoli Leoni! The bed was big and comfy. There were spare pillows for those of us who like sleeping with more than 1. The room is huge and so is the bathroom. The owner Giorgio is lovely, approachable and cooks a beautiful breakfast. The location is perfect and within walking distance to everything you want to see in Genoa. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay and highly recommend it to others. Thank you Giorgio!

We couldn’t have been any happier with our stay. Our room was a huge suite of a living room and bedroom on the 5th floor (with an elevator) with several glass doors opening out to views on two sides. Clean and comfortable. Giorgio is a wonderful host — helpful in many ways and prepares a varied and delicious breakfast each morning. Baked goods (including some made by him), fruit, cereal, yogurt (I think it was home made), eggs, cheese, etc. This place is really a winner and we were crazy about Genoa.

This was an authentic Italian experience we loved. Positioned in the heart of the old town. everything is so close by. The host was outstanding and looked after us so well. Breakfast was a fantastic home style Italian breakfast. Old style complex full of history. A hidden gem which we highly recommend.

Google maps doesn’t work well in the old town so some better directions would help. however, when we had problems the host rang us an directed us in via WhatsApp video call. he was fantastic.

The breakfasts were lovely and tailored to your needs if required. Spacious adjoining bathroom. Nice bedlinen. Location great for Piazza di Ferrari and the Metro but it is a steep climb ! Host very welcoming and gave us some excellent recommendations for eating out.

Didn't realise it was on 5th floor but after some initial steps there is a lift. Paperwork said there was a kettle in the room but this was not the case. Bit of a drainy smell at times.

Room was spacious, clean, comfortable, had great speed WiFi, so You can work without any inconveniences. We took a walk in the evening and realized how close the major city attractions are. In the morning we were surprised by host's efforts to make sure we have a great breakfast. Fruits, scrambled eggs, espresso, focaccia - just wow. So, in general, very nice stay in the heart of Genova!

As we went in March, temperatures are not very high, so be aware it can be a bit cold, e.g., to shower.

Incredible! The rooms are Spectacular; Spacious, Spotless and Stylish, while the location is perfect with everything right around the corner. Giorgio, the owner, is a total gentleman ( he even made a special vegan / gluten free cake for us and shared the recipe!) and the breakfast was incredible! Fruit, yoghurt, musli, cake and foccacia. He was accomodating to both vegan and gluten free diets. We can't wait to return, it really exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much

hot when we stayed no air con just a fan. Although the two portafinestra look at wall the building next door had building work going on so there was scaffolding right outside and if in the room during the day the associated noise of builders, non of which we were told before we arrived. some of the things listed were not in the room. The owner is on site during the day but there is no one on site at night although you can call him if needed, we didn’t.

Location is perfect! I was able to walk everywhere and it is literally at the center of everything! Everything is walking distance of about 5-10 mins. Metro station is 3 mins walk. Giorgio, the host is awesome! He is always available to help and answer questions.

There was construction noise right outside my room for one night (not in Giorgio’s control). Also there were some plumbing issues but Giorgio was very helpful and understanding. I am certain it has been taken care of.
