The room are really modern, in an old building, so the ceilings are really high, and decor is slick and stylish. There is a water cooler in the corridor so you can have as much chilled sparkling water as you want. The bed was really comfy, the bathroom great, and the location was super-quiet. It's right in the middle of the old town, and there is a lovely restaurant (not part of the hotel) in the square directly outside. There are loads of cafes for breakfast.

We weren't sure how you would get there by taxi (although we didn't actually try) as it's accessed via some little passages. But it is a few minutes walk from the bus and the Metro so it wasn't a problem. I'm not sure how I would have felt walking down the passages if I was on my own - we saw no evidence of anything but wonderful people, but it feels a bit like Batman should live there - the passages are gloomy and the walls high. Really funky place.

The location was very special on a historic square, from my window one looked out on the church of St. Mary of the Vines with its 11th century campanile, gorgeous. Not too noisy but lively with two cafes open quite late. I found my way to so many site and destinations in Genova within a 15 to 20 minute walk of the hotel, which still felt quite away from bustle and crowds, because foot traffic only. Also, nice common area with coffee, tea and cookies in the afternoon. The decor was very special, the building has so much character and has clearly been lovingly restored. Finally, they had some loaner umbrellas which came in handy during very heavy, surprise, downpour.

The hotel was great and the staff very helpful. It can be a bit difficult to find, so suggest mapping out your route, especially at night.

We stayed in the adjacent property. Not much to look at from the outside, but the 4th floor of rooms and lounge areas were beautiful. The rooms were modern and clean. We took full advantage of the sparkling water machine! The rooftop breakfasts were lavish and in a beautiful Setting! The property was in the heart of the historic city and close to many notable sights, piazza San Lorenzo, Ferrari, etc.

We arrived early (to avoid getting stuck in Milan due to a train strike) and had to wait for our room. Reasonable, but it would have been better for everyone if we could have waited in the adjacent building’s 4th floor lobby, rather than the main hotel lobby.

The view, the location in the old city and the great ancient of the room combined with modern style and amenities all are wonderful! The helpful staff which booked the taxi to the airport and gave great directions all made the stay feel very comfortable and homey.

Well, I could see it being difficult to find at first, but then that’s part of the point of staying on the old city in the first place, right? Just be careful if you have issues walking or are carrying too much baggage: the hotel has a tuk- tuk that should be booked if one is unfamiliar with Genova upon arrival.

It was clean. There was drinking water, still and sparkling available and clean glass glasses for the water, just down the hall. Also available was an electric kettle and cups with teas and coffees available. We enjoyed this, but didn’t opt in for breakfast. The hotel is located in the historic district, which is quiet and next to a church that rings bells in the daytime. The taxis are forbidden from driving in the historic district but it was only a minute of walking to get to the hotel. Just a word to the wise. There is a second bed up the stairs in the loft. If we had used that bed, the room charge would have been more expensive. Fortunately, the main bed was large enough for 2. Naturally Fermented Wine- no chemicals, nothing to give a headache or hangover- delivered to your door! https://1w20.com/all-things-travel/ To see our Amazing European Adventure https://youtu.be/YiBvZ75hZ1E

Reception is close, but in a different building than the hotel. No 24 hour reception, which we didn’t need.

The location was excellent, very central and an easy walk from the train station. Breakfast although seemingly quite expensive had an extensive variety of very good quality food, something to suit everyone. You could also eat and drink as much as you wanted and we ended up having breakfast there every day. The church opposite is definitely worth a visit. All the staff were very helpful and friendly.

There were free coffee/tea and water supplies on the same floor as our room but for an early morning cup of tea you had to get dressed first.

The room was beautiful and comfortable with a wonderful view. The hotel lobby and kitchen area with a water dispenser was great.

The location of the hotel is in a bit of a seedy area. We didn't feel particularly safe walking around and witnessed a few strange characters that seemed to frequent the area. The hotel was very difficult to find even with GPS and is not well-marked. Additionally, the hotel should really consider a real coffee/espresso machine instead of the quick-mix coffee.

Modern, spacious “loft” room with living area and sensational views of SM della Vigna. Very helpful and friendly staff. Sitting room with free tea/coffee/snacks. Quiet location away from busy roads. Quite reasonably priced.

Noisy plumbing at night. Found out this was caused by towel heater being on in the bathroom. Breakfast not very interesting. The smallest lift I have ever been in. Prostitutes lingering in the alleyway around the corner, at 10 in the morning. (This not the hotels problem of course, but you should be aware the area seems a little seedy, especially at night). But that’s Genoa!!

The room was massive and clean. The décor superb and the most comfortable bed. The building was beautiful and loved the New York style entrance and lift. Location couldn't have been better, right in the middle of the old town with lots of little ally ways (we got lost a couple of times but soon found our bearings. Portofino and Cinque Terre are just a train ride away, absolutely so easy and cheap to get there.

A very minor thing but would have been good to have more than one mirror so my friends and I could get ready at the same time.

The room was really big and comfortable. There is a Smart TV in the room too. In the common area, you will find occasional cookies and free water, tea, and coffee. The staff were really friendly and helpful. The location is also very central and secure. Less than 5 minutes walk to major bus stations, metro and tourist destinations. We can't recommend this place enough!

Nothing.
