Location is perfect, room is very specious and beautiful, breakfast was good. I just wish they had more meat/ cheese options instead of sweets. Very quiet. Bed comfy, lots of storage, cattle and tea provided, which is fantastic.

We were asked to park on 7 minutes walk away on paid parking. The only reason we proffered this place to others was because it advertised free parking, which we didn't get. We were staying only for 3 nights and were away for most of the first day, and our second day was Sunday, so parking was free. Otherwise parking fee would add quite a lot to overall price of staying, plus parking machine didn't allow paying with credit card- only cash. Also I wish they had good quality down pillows. We used ours, otherwise I would end up with neck pain from uncomfortable pillows they have.. other than that- all was perfect

The location was absolutely fantastic and we were able to park (first come basis) at the property. We had a super, huge room with a very comfortable bed in this majestic old home. While really big there only a wardrobe with hanging space, as the bottom drawers were full. It would benefit from some place to put one's clothes if staying for longer than a night. Loads of antiques and interesting memorabilia to look at. Water was plentiful and hot. Breakfast was alright but not exciting. Would stay there again for the location if we wanted to to go back to Lecce - which was one of our favourite cities.

Wonderful location on quiet street just around the corner from the Duomo and main pedestrian / shopping street. Large room with sitting area and balcony to a beautiful courtyard plus a shared terrace. Plentiful, traditional Lecce breakfast that was very good. The decor is an antique lovers dream (unfortunately that is not me) and history abounds in everything you see - definitely a loved family home! Also, a very gracious owner who gave guests a small token of thanks for staying!

Directions for checking in were not very clear - no signage, etc. but luckily the host was working off the courtyard and got us checked in.... The bed was not super comfortable.

Terrific location just behind the Duomo in the heart of restaurants and historic walks.

Because of the central location you need to be a confident driver through narrow and winding streets. There is no street parking available so the only option is the 10$ per day at the palazzo. There are some larger rooms and some quite small and unfortunately we were allocated a small version even though we had a three night booking. This was disappointing as the room was not what we believed we had booked from the photos online. I would suggest you confirm at time of booking which room you have been allocated and ask for a photo

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Palazzo Bernardini. Our room was huge, set within an original family palazzo. It was a honour to stay there and experience the history of Lecce. Mr Jannis was very helpful organising our car to be parked downstairs within the palazzo. He also prepared a delicious breakfast for us each morning in the beautiful dining room and advised us what to see in Lecce. Our bathroom was very clean and very spacious. We enjoyed having a drink in our room with the doors open onto the lovely garden beyond. It was great that we were right within the old part of town, it was easy to walk everywhere

This was truly an exceptional place to stay. It's an old palazzo in the city centre, with beautiful furnishings and lots of family history apparent in the rooms. We felt as if it was an immense privilege to share this lovely old residence with the delightful and welcoming owners. They were also very helpful in guiding us through the challenge of driving via the narrow streets to reach the property which is right in the historic centre. Parking was in the palazzo courtyard. The breakfast was excellent too.

An extraordinary place – a beautiful old home filled with many lovely and interesting artworks and antique objects, in which was our spacious room and bathroom, and a charming small terrace overlooking a garden. We were greeted cordially and helpfully, and the cordiality was extended throughout our stay.

A very minor thing – the Palazzo was a little hard to find because the street changes direction and we were coming from a direction that made it hard to figure that out. If this could be made more clear ahead of time, it would be helpful.

It was a privilege to stay at the Palazzo Bernardino Suites as the owner Isabella warmly welcomed us into her beautiful home full of treasured family art & furniture collections. Our Junior suite with small balcony was large and extremely comfortable complete with a sofa and armchairs. Artworks adorned the walls. A good breakfast was served in the dining room by the competent and helpful Janis. The location was excellent and close to bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.

This is a unique place; a room within an old palazzo a few minutes from the cathedral. We had a very large room and a terrace overlooking a garden and roofs of the old town. The whole apartment, including the room we had breakfast in, felt like an old family home, which it is. The breakfast was excellent. We highly recommend this place.

The Bernardini family is an institution in Lecce and it was a pleasure to meet Isabella, the Marchesa who owns and runs the property. It’s historic contents alone are well worth the visit, which was enhance by the welcome from Isabella and Ioannis. Good breakfast ( and consideration given to my gluten free request) and well appointed rooms. Brilliant location close to Duomo.
