A perfect, flawless B&B. 5 star comfort for a very affordable price. Look no further than La Finestra Sul Convitto. Very well designed and comfortable rooms that were in spotless condition, with cool air conditioner and electronic blinds to keep the room dark. Authentic Leccese breakfast every morning with the wonderful pasticiotto. Regularly restocked fridge with cool drinks and fresh fruit. Excellent location inside the centro storico close to good bars and restaurants but also very close to on-street public parking (outside the ZTL). And most of all, the most generous and affable host: Antonio. Antonio made every effort to ensure we had a comfortable stay and experienced Lecce like a local, offering us maps, authentic restaurant suggestions (away from what we call the “tourist traps”), advice on beaches for day trips, tips on local amenities, and answers to any other questions we had. A true gentleman. We hope to have the privilege of visiting this B&B and Antonio again, when next we visit Lecce.

What a lovely B&B in a fabulous location! Antonio and Barbara could not have been kinder and more hospitable hosts. They will insist you enjoy the local dolce pasticciotto for breakfast (among a great range of other things) and they certainly source them from a good place - some of the best I’ve had in Puglia. My room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and charming, with a modern bathroom and great aircon. There was also the best Wifi here of my entire trip, super useful as I am working while travelling. Thank you so much Antonio!

Not having a proper window was a strange feeling but probably just because I am Australian and it’s rare we have a room in a house without a window! The room was spacious regardless so it didn’t feel claustrophobic.

Incredible place to stay with a wonderful host! The host has gone above and beyond to make this a comfortable and inviting place to stay. The location is in the old city which was perfect for walking around. The B&B has four rooms off a main living area. The bed and shower were amazingly comfortable. For breakfast there are a variety of things to choose from and we were also offered one of the local fresh bakery items. The host did not speak much English but used Google Translate to make sure that we were well informed of everything needed to make it a great visit. Parking was a bit tricky as we had to make sure to stay out of the ZTL zone but we were always able to find street parking relatively close. We would love to stay here again!

Only thing to be aware of is that there are about 30 steps to climb up to the rooms. It did not bother us at all but there did not appear to be an elevator.

We stayed at the La Finestra Sul Convitto B&B in May as part of a week trip to Italy and found it to be a lovely place to base ourselves. Our host, Antonio was in regular contact with us prior to arrival and provided information on the best way to transfer from the airport. He was there to greet us and showed us to our room. He explained about breakfast, the local area and sites and provided us with a map which made things a lot easier. Antonio does not speak English and our Italian is extremely limited so he used Google translate for all of our conversations. This could be funny at times as the translations weren’t always that accurate. Our room was basic but clean, well presented and comfortable. Cleaned daily. Breakfast was served in a communal area by our host and consisted of pasticciotto (a local sweet pastry) croissant, yoghurt, fruit, tea/coffee. All filling and set us up for the day nicely. Antonio was the best host we have met on all of our travels and was always on hand if we needed information or assistance and genuinely cared about ensuring that our stay was as perfect as possible. I would highly recommend staying at this B&B for quality of service, being a great base for exploring Lecce and the surrounding Puglia area.

We had a lovely, spacious and clean room which was tidied daily. The accommodation was perfectly located in the old town, walking distance to restaurants, shops etc! Although it was a restricted access street for vehicles, when we hired a car we had no issue finding parking in surrounding streets. Antonio the host was so sweet. He always checked in to see if we were happy and if everything was to our liking- very eager to please and very accommodating. He even came to see us off when we had to check out at 5.30am and kindly drove us to the train station.

Antonio is a super host. Made us feel comfortable and welcomed. He was very informative and accommodating.. La FInestra sul Convitto is very clean, cozy and the shower was superb. This B & B Is very centrally located for wallking to restaurants and many other local attractions...very pleased with our stay there and highly recommend this location.

No parking at location. But paid parking is only a 3 minute walk from location.

Antonio was so friendly, welcoming and helpful. He contacted me before my stay and asked me to let him know my arrival time so he could wait outside the courtyard to the property and show me in. We communicated via Google Translate's microphone/translation feature as unfortunately I don't speak any Italian, but that was no barrier at all. I could WhatsApp him any time and ask any questions if I had any. The room was lovely, an "old vault" but with a spacious room and bedroom, and wonderful aircon controllable with a remote device (which was much appreciated after a day strolling round in the hot late September sunshine!) The location of the property was ideal. Five minutes' walk to Lecce station, and five minutes' walk to the main attractions in the old town. As a solo female traveller, I very much appreciated how safe Lecce is - even at night. Breakfast consisted of fruit, yoghurt, croissant and fresh, traditional pasticiotto. Plenty of water was provided too which you could help yourself to at any time. I had to leave at 7.30am on the morning of checkout to catch a train and Antonio made sure to be there for me, to carry my case down the stairs and wish me a pleasant onward journey. Most appreciated! I honestly couldn't fault the stay. I would 100% recommend this property and would stay here again if I come back to Lecce.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Antonio was a very friendly host who offered lots of useful advice and recommendations. The balcony in the room was a lovely spot to have a drink as it caught the evening sun. Very comfy bed, great shower and effective AC.

It is worth noting that this room looks out onto a busy street with lots of noise at night time. The windows are very sound proof and Antonio offered us ear plugs as well. We didn’t find that the noise bothered us but it might bother other people.
