This Italianate building offers the closest walking location to the Lucca walls and its wonderful town, plus rare included private parking (which we needed as we were driving Italy.) The room was very clean, simple. Modern bath. Lucca is no longer "undiscovered" but it is not overrun, even when there was a famous Bike Race coming past the walls. Wonderful restaurants, Puccini concerts, gelaterias, museums, more concerts. It's one of our favorites. We very much appreciated that the housekeeper found our passports and the owner waited as we drove from Vada to retrieve them. Won't do that again!

It was disappointing they no longer serve the breakfast many reviewers describe. They have a fridge you can put milk/cream/etc. in, if you bring it yourself. Serve coffee and tea only. There is a small Italian coffee bar with hot sandwiches just around the corner.

Il Giardino was wonderful and Marina was one of the most helpful hosts. We had been traveling in Tuscany for over 2 weeks and had been very ill with bad respiratory illnesses. Marina reached out to us the night before our arrival when I literally forgot to tell her our arrival time and she met us early to let us gain access to our room. We only stayed one night, but the facility was perfect. The neighborhood the B&B was located in was lovely and a quick walk to the walled city of Lucca. We hadn't realized how much we would like Lucca and regret not having stayed longer. If you have the chance, definitely visit Lucca and stay at Marina's B&B! Well worth it.

A great location just outside the city walls, with the added bonus of parking We had a room with a queen bed which was ample for one or two nights We unfortunately only stayed the one in what is a very beautiful Italian city The property has a large fridge freezer, toaster, kettle etc in the two kitchens available for your use. Marina couldn’t have been more helpful explaining entry, exit , places to eat and city entry via the underpass

The location of the accommodation is superb with it being only 200m from the walled city which you can reach by walking through a safe underpass. Our room was very spacious, clean with a lovely bathroom. Our host, Marina is such a lovely person and offered us use of the secure parking facility before our allotted check in time. She advised us on lots of local tourist spots as well as recommending restaurants. We ate at Carbone and Sotto Sotto which were both fantastic. Highly recommended and we hope to return

We liked the in-suite bathroom, and we enjoyed the coffee and espresso provided by the host. The room was quiet and the location of the property is very near the old city of Lucca. Great place to stay if you want to explore Lucca. The host met us and explained everything, and she was very responsive via WhatsApp when we had any questions. Great host!

There is a streetlight right outside that was very bright at night, and the sheer curtains did not block any of the light. I felt like I had a spotlight on my during the night. Also, the blow dryer didn't really heat up to dry hair.

The location was perfect for exploring a Lucca, we were just outside of the medieval city wall and a five minute walk into the centre. Marina is an exceptional host, she welcomed us, was really friendly and warm, making us feel comfortable immediately. Our room was perfect for our stay, with very comfortable beds and pillows, as well the shower was great. Marina provided a lovely range of breakfast items, with tea or coffee, which we really enjoyed.

We had a late arrival, and Marina was more than gracious when I needed assistance upon check-in. I rented the two bedroom suite for one night. The large rooms were very clean and offered space and privacy. But the best parts IMO were the location to Lucca, the ice - cold air conditioning, and private gated parking. Looking forward to my next stay in the future.

Fantastic location a very short walk from the Lucca city wall. Marina was a great host and very engaging, able to offer good advice on the area. The accommodation was at a great standard and particularly the family room with 2 bedrooms which was perfect for our party of 2 adults and 2 children. Great secure onsite parking. Amazing value and would love to stay again.

Marina was a fantastic host. It was a last minute decision to visit Lucca and she helped in every way possible. She answered our long list of questions and gave us great recommendations. Location is perfect and parking also perfect. Those two things mean a lot in this area. Lucca is a good one day visit. Just the incredible walls make it exceptional. Churches are spectacular like the rest of Italy. Marina proposed a trip to a winery and olive producers. This was a great experience, be prepared to spend some money. Great wine and olive oil. Marina's English is much better than my Italian.

Breakfast was good by Italian standards, but I always miss some kind of hot eggs.

Location was excellent. Easy to walk to the walled city entrance as well as to other nearby places. My husband is celiac and there was a gluten free bakery around the block. Loved the high ceilings in the rooms. There was a very nice backyard with seating. The weather was a bit too cool to be out there but would be very nice during warmer days. Marina was very helpful and available to answer any questions we had.
