where can I start? from the beginning, it was clear that this would be a wonderful experience. The host clearly cares about the region and wants his guests to enjoy the area and to learn about it a bit as well (as much as they want). this is not a faceless hotel or b&b. this is a labor of love that the host had made and imparted to his guests. the breakfast was always superb, the room is spacious and well apportioned, and the location is unbeatable. the property is charming and offers all amenities that we needed. in my countless (4 decades) of travel, including memorable luxury resorts, I can state that this is among the top experiences on travel. we felt at home, which is no small feat by any host, and for that Luca, grazie mile.

We had the most incredible experience staying with Luca, the reviews on here, even though all amazing, don't really do him justice but you won't understand that until you stay with him. Everything was perfect, the breakfast was incredible and nothing was too much, as soon as you walk in, he was there with all info you need to able to get into Venice, where to go and what to see. He went above and beyond for us to be able to see the fireworks that happens every year in Venice which we weren't aware of until we got there, he was always a text away, the bed was crazy comfy, had shutters so kept it super dark, ensuite and balcony was bellissimo and that air con was the best thing EVER! We felt so welcome as soon as we walked in, felt like we had known Luca for years!! Everything was provided all the way down to an after bite zapper! He remembered each morning what you liked for breakfast and would always be happy to switch it up (my favourite has to be pistacchio cream croissant) My other half and I don't tend to visit the same place twice but we have said we are going back and I cannot wait! Already telling people to go and stay with Luca aswell. Our best experience of Venice and it was so much more thanks to Luca. Miss you already!!

You will not find a more welcoming, pleasant, helpful host anywhere. Luca sets the standard for hosting travelers. He has developed his own visitors guide to the area in and around Venice and upon arrival takes considerable time to provide his recommendations for the best way to plan your visit. He provided excellent advice on the use of transportation options, where and when to plan visits, recommended restaurants and even made reservations (which is extremely helpful if your Italian is lacking). Nice large private rooms and baths with a terrific common area. Very quiet inner courtyard with secure access. Located very close to the main bus and tram lines that provide access to Venice and the surrounding areas. Thank you ever so much Luca!

Luca was the best! He provided us with a lot of very useful, time saving (and money saving) information, including his own map for Venice, which we used extensively. The location was perfect, since you can easily get to Venice via public transportation (bus / tram) in 20 minutes and it was right in the middle of Mestre, with lots of restaurants and cafes around. The room we stayed in was excellent, large with a comfy bed and a nice shower and the garden itself is beautiful. The breakfast Luca made for us was excellent as well.

The host was very accomodating. Provided with early checkin, provided a map with his personel suggestions and recommendations. Made delicious breakfast to our preference. Nice balcony, nice yard to chill and the whole property had an Italian charm to it. Really enjoyed and totally recommend it. Nice location with perfect public transport connections to venice.

I thought about how to describe Casa Lunia Guesthouse for days. It's not like a hotel or airbnb. More like staying at a friend's house. Luca is very very enthusiastic. Every morning, he cooks for us himself. We chat and he makes travel plans for us like friends. When luca was away, his mother and sonia prepared us croissants and yogurt, cereal, and cut fruit. The villa is very beautiful. The room is very spacious and bright. The furniture is classic, like living in an old European movie. If you like old European houses, or want to experience living with Italian friends, then I highly recommend this place. Of course, the old house is generally soundproof, but there are only two suites, and we and our neighbors have no influence on each other. By the way, this house is great for people traveling with pets, and there are large gardens for dogs. The best part is the location of the house. It is located in the center of the old town of Mestre, just a 5-minute walk from Piazza Ferretto. There are also supermarkets, cinemas, bakeries, and very good seafood restaurants nearby. We don't want to drive to Venice. The direct station to Venice is almost at the door, less than 3 minutes walk. Very convenient. Thanks to the Luca family for the hospitality. Next time we go to Venice, we would like to stay here again.

The Host, Lucca was incredible and fantastic. First thing he did was ask if we'd been to Venice before and since it was our first, he sat us down and gave us the full and comprehensive lowdown. I can attest had he not done so, our Venice experience would have been totally different. The guy has made his own professional map which includes everything on travel to/fro and the joy of Venice. The house and land where this stay is at was built and purchased by his Grandfather in the late 1800s, it is serene, rustic, has character and was the best place we stayed at on this Italy trip, out of 6 locations. The breakfast that he prepared was above and beyond the norm and his presence is impecable. Great Location, great stay.

We were looking forward to staying at this guesthouse, and we were not disappointed! Luca, the owner, made you feel like home. He gave us a lot of information regarding Venice, he even prepared a personalized and professional map on Venice, with all the info you need while you are there. The guesthouse was amazing, spacious, clean, with all the antique furniture. It is located in a great area, 2 min from the bus station which takes you directly to Venice, and 350m away from Piazza Erminio Ferretto, where you can find a lot of great restaurants, bars, and many other things. The breakfast was prepared by Luca, which was very delicious. I highly recommend visiting this place.

One of the best accommodations i have ever spent time during my last decades. Our host was a fantastic man. His hospitality, advises, support was exceptional. If You want to know more about Venice, its history, facts, life, just ask him. The property has a very nice garden. The room was very comfortable, clean, convenient. Our host prepared rich and very delicious breakfasts. Parking is inside the property garden. Public transportation is in the nearby to Venice. The maximum 10 points can't express how satisfied we are. I strongly recommend this accommodation :-)

Like the tittle said - here you will find everything you need for an amazing and comfortable staying in Venice. Great host Luca, beautiful, old, italian villa, fully furnished with comfortable bed, very quiet at night, delicious breakfast, direct bus to Venice in front of the house, free and safe parking…I could write three pages about our experience in Casa Lunia. Definitely worth booking!
