Very clean, spacious and modern rooms, very comfortable beds and a large bathroom. The included breakfast is wonderful and a great way to start your day of exploration or sightseeing. The hotel is close to many locations of interest, restaurants, shops etc. All of the staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive, always welcoming us back with a smile. The hotel can be a little hard to find as you enter through an area closed for pedestrians. our taxi driver wasn’t sure where to drop us off. But once we oriented ourselves we found our way. The hotel is on the first floor of the building but there’s an elevator. it requires 10 cents to operate but it worked just fine. Was our favorite hotel experience during our travels.

A minor thing - the hotel is in a busy area, and our room window faced the galleria. so there was some noise at night from the cafes below. But we were able to rest just fine. For light sleepers it could be a problem.

location is great - within minutes walk to the most beautiful parts of Naples by the sea, and the room has state of the art facilities; breakfast also exceeded my expectations for a small boutique hotel. Most importantly, the staff are exceptional - Fabio is superbly courteous and professional - nothing is too much trouble and he goes out of his way to help; also gave great recommendations on dinner options for my two-night stay. Martina and others are also great - the service is really sets this hotel aside.

the TV in the room does not have an English speaking channel - but then again one is not supposed to watch tv in doors when in Naples

The hotel is very well located, and although small, offers convenience and a large room size in Naples' best area. The staff is friendly and helpful, and breakfast is very rich and staisfying.

The room's window is facing a gallery, where concerts are held at nights (from time to time, not every night). This causes quite a lot of noise. It should be mentioned that the hotel did its best to minimize this effect with double glass windows.

The hotel is beautifully decorated. Shiny, polished and clean. I thought the beautiful castle was right in the middle of the city. The hotel is in a very convenient location. Great staff, The men at the reception are perfect. The lady serving breakfast always cheered me up. The cleaning ladies have great smiles on their faces. We loved coming back to the hotel. We will definitely stay there again next time.

The hotel was perfect from these reasons: 1. The location is excellent: near to a taxi station (which is so important without public transportation), on Via Toledo street, near to the main square. 2. The hotel is so clear, well-designed and big. The room is spacious and functional. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is pleasant. The wifi reception was very good. The air-conditioning also. 3. The breakfast is rich and there are veraity of food options to choose. The food is fresh. The coffee is excellent. 4. The stuff was kind and helpful. They helped us twice to plan where to go and check for us costs. They smiled all the time and were happy to help.

took us some time to find the hotel. no good signs leading to it, and the hotel is inside a std apartment building. even Google maps was confused. after we found it it didn’t bother us, though. the elevator is old and requires a small coin to operate it. but only one floor. price seemed a bit high, but maybe these are the prices in Naples, didn’t check too much.

Modem clean and comfortable room. Staff is welcoming and helpful. Breakfast offers a nice variety of choices. Matilde is conveniently located within walking distance from the palace, from the historical area, and from great bars and restaurants. It is located in the Toledo vibrant and safe area. Highly recommended.

There is no sitting area by the lobby.

i liked everything about this hotel. it is actually a boutique hotel. Location amazing just in the middle of Napoli, downstairs you have all the shops and restaurants, it is a shopping street. close to the metro station. the staff are amazing all of them no exclusion, my luggage was lost in Napoli airport so they were helping me everyday, they are so nice and friendly and you just wana say thank you to them every second . the breakfast is amazing really good and fresh, the rooms are big and clean and they look down the street.

it was a bit difficult to find but then once you do it is easy as it has a back entrance .

Location was great - right in the Spanish quarter which is probably the most fun area to explore in Naples.

Quite a bit of street noise. Although located on pedestrian street, we still felt it overly noisy (our room faced the street, but not sure others are any better as they face similar situations). Having spent a lot of time searching, I'm not sure there are a lot of good quiet locations available.
