More a large scale pilgrim hostel than a hotel, but with a very good restaurant attached. Magnificent location. Very decent breakfast. Helpful staff at reception. Old building rooms - ask for one with a view of the floodlit basilica opposite. Be prepared for bells, but not all night.

If solo traveller you might want to make sure you’re in the old building and not the annexe, which is reached via a longish solitary walk through a carpark. Staff relocated me helpfully on request. Very basic furnishings and convent cell comfort levels, but I liked the ascetic aesthetic and it was immaculately clean.

It was right next to St Antony's Basilica which was our main purpose of visit. Excellent and very generous breakfast. Very friendly staff. The family room for 4 was big with an extra spare bed. Great baggage storage and rest room facilities if you want to check out and return later to pick your bags.

The toilets and furnishings are very basic. But we cannot complain as it was similar to the pictures on their website, and we were expecting that. So not really a big disappointment!!

We arrived just behind a huge group of pilgrims, however the staff saw us quickly once they realised we weren’t there on a pilgrimage! We were housed in a new wing at the back of the hotel complex. It was quiet but the bathroom and room were very new and clean and although simple it had everything we needed for a quick stopover to visit Padova. Unfortunately due to the location of the room the wifi was a bit unreliable. The hotel overall is quite simple and old fashioned but with the staff and the value for money and superb central location, the whole experience was excellent. Breakfast was plentiful and had a wide variety with friendly staff.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Casa del Pellegrino! The location couldn't be more convenient—just a short walk to the stunning Basilica of Saint Anthony, great restaurants, shopping, and the University of Padua. Prato della Valle, one of Europe’s largest squares, is also nearby, perfect for a relaxing stroll. We saved quite a bit by taking the bus to Venice, which is only about 45 minutes away. It's a great option if you're looking to explore without paying Venice hotel prices. The hotel offers comfortable rooms, friendly service, and excellent value for the money. Highly recommend if you're looking for convenience and affordability in Padua!

The shower curtains need replacing.

The staff, both at the front desk ( including very helpful check-in and check-out process) as well as the breakfast place, were kind. The room was spacious. Nice beds, powerful shower, generous breakfast. And the bidet, I missed the feeling for so long since it isn't an essential unit in the UK homes. All my needs ticked. Icing on the cake was Lucia (never met her during my stay), allocating the room with the balcony overlooking the Duomo of the Basilica on my request. My mother was pleasantly surprised, for which I am very grateful. ATM next door, Gellato next to ATM, Basilica on the opposite, and surprisingly, an Indian restaurant at the end of the road. We had a perfect stay.

Can't complain much about the hotel if the drivers in the night time drive crazy fast.

The location was great with many cafes, restaurants, sightseeing nearby, as well as easy access to public transport. The room was large, while bedding and towels were always clean and fluffed up daily! The airconditioning was a good bonus during the heatwave! The staff was extremely helpful and very friendly!

The hotel is apparently under renovation, so although the room was quite old (early 70s/80s), perhaps they will overhaul the entire hotel in a few years. Although the room was clean overall, it needs a thorough cleaning (or complete change) of the shower cubicle and bathroom ceiling, an overhaul of electric fixtures, furniture, and a good coat of paint. The door offered no sound insulation, while the window was brand new and kept the heat out, so you could easily hear everything happening in the corridors at all hours of the day/night.

The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, well served, local products. All homemade cakes wonderful, but the Cake of the grandma, amazing😋!! The location is great, very well communicated by team and buses, 5 minutes to reach the centre. And just in front of the Basilica of St Anthony. Impressive from outside, amazing from the inside, frescos from top to bottom through all of it. Three clusters, shop inside with a beautiful shop of own herbal products, and delicatessen.!😎😎😎

The location of the hotel is ideal for access to the historic sights of Padova. They have secure parking for 10 euros per night if you drive. Breakfast was plenty and tasty. Arrive early so you don't have to wait for a table. Nice air-conditioning in the room.

We picked the basic room because we only stayed one night. It is really the minimum you can get in a room. Window looked out on a brick wall. Funny musty smell. No outlet working in the bathroom. Shower curtain sticking to your body when showering. Hardly any outlets in the room. Light bulbs putting out very little light. Must have been a cool hotel 40 years ago but needs some upgrade.

I liked that it was really close (5 mins) to train station and about 10 mins walk to the centre. The sisters were friendly but professional and unobtrusive. the room was huge and although furnished in a basic way it was very comfortable and I could control the heating to the temperature that I wanted easily. I had a small balcony too. everything was very clean and it is lovely to have the chapel to pop into as well if you are of faith. I could faintly hear the nuns singing from my bedroom at morning and night prayer which was beautiful! excellent value for solo traveller looking for someone where calm, safe and peaceful. I appreciated having a hairdryer in the room!

someone else mentioned mosquitoes outside on the balcony… I thought I would be ok popping out a few minutes but I did get bitten so bear that in mind! not the fault of the property just nature!!

We were very happy with the location, and one of your staff members was extremely kind and helpful, but he was not the one we had serving us when we arrived. The hotel met our needs in terms of location to the Basilica of St. Anthony, and the ability to get into Venice was also easy and very near by. We had local people who were so kind and helpful.

Unfortunately, the man who waited on us when we arrived was very rude and condescending. When I tried to explain the reason we had several reservations because we had two new additions to our group he didn't want to listen. It was as if he didn't believe us, and acted very rudely toward us. This was the only part of the experience that put a sour taste in our mouths. Other than the one staff member everything else was as I anticipated.
