Location perfect, view from the balcony just incredible, easy checkin and correspondence, very warm welcome and a authentic elevator.

The airconditioning wasn’t working properly even when we put it on 16 degrees (!) and when we mentioned this they told us to close the stores and lights to keep it cool (6th floor). It was 44 degrees outside. Not really acceptable for the money we’ve paid sorry. Luckily we had a ventilator :) And the fridge was also not working - so forget about the cold drinks.

We are travelling with two kids. Booked room #4 with the bunk bed. The room was fantastic. Very spacious and clean with comfortable beds, a dining table and a fridge. The location is also terrific with the main pedestrian street with cafés, restaurants, shops and bars right underneath. Yet quiet at night. The balcony is the best! Unbelievable view overlooking the Palermo rooftops and surrounding mountains. Pietro was a delightful host. Very communicative over whatsapp before we arrived. Gave us great recommendations for places to eat and see. The location is about 200m from the Via Roma airport bus stop. Same stop for convenient buses to Mondello, etc. Main train station is a 10-15 min walk away also easily reachable by bus. Overall location and accommodation were excellent. We were pleasantly surprised. Didn't know what to expect.

The air-conditioning wasn't very strong but there were 2 other fans provided in room. Together we got enough airflow but it was fairly hot at night. This was during some hot days in sept. 30 degrees by 8am type of weather. Maybe it was just too hot for the air con.

Our stay was great, Pietro gave us lots of recommendations ahead via WhatsApp and tips on how to get to the hotel. When we arrived, he gave us more tips for restaurants and places to visit. The location was perfect with everything within walking distance. The room was very clean and quite big, so we had enough space for our luggage. The bed was comfortable and there were blinds on the window for the night. We arrived with the shuttle bus from the airport as was recommended and the bus stop was just around the corner. There is an elevator in the building, so travelling with bigger luggage is no problem. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend it!

The location is great, very central, you have all the restaurants very closed by, just a few minute walk. You can also walk to all the main tourist bits, 15 min walk to the train/bus station and about 45 minutes by bus to the airport. Pietro was an amazing host, he informed us about everything on time, he will recommend really good Italian restaurants, please hear his advice as they are great! The room was big, had a fridge a desk and private bathroom.

Everything was amazing, really good value! It's very close to the main street so it could be a bit noisy at night, but not too bad.

Everything was perfect! We had excellent communication with the host who helped us arrange nearby parking and gave us plenty of recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing. Check in/check out was smooth. The location is fantastic. It’s in the heart of the historic center, walking distance to all the sights in the city. The room was reasonably quiet considering the location. There was a bit of street noise but nothing too bad. We enjoyed the balcony with lovely views over the city and the original artwork that adorned all of the walls! I would definitely recommend La Maison del Sole for a stay in Palermo.

We loved everything! From the time we booked to the time for us to leave Pietro was a phenomenal host. Pietro provided all the information we could possibly require from bus timetables and locations to places to eat, drink or visit. The rooms are right in the heart of Palermo, above the pedestrian area and within walking distance if the main attractions. The rooms are bright, well decorated and very clean. Our deluxe room had an amazing, spectacular view from its balcony. Would we come here again? .... of course. Grazie Pietro!

Having to leave!

Our room was located on the 6th floor of a traditional old-town Palermo building. Location was perfect for walking through the main open-air markets, restaurants and shops. The room was plenty large for 2-4 people, with 2 queen beds. The room was clean and decorated with original production-type paintings on canvas. We had a small balcony with a nice old-city view. For the price, it's a decent place.

There was some sort of plumbing contraption in the floor, under the bathroom sink. It was sometimes noisy and at times emitted a slight sewer small. (Photo)

The owner Pietro offered some restaurants. All of them were amazing. Building is in the middle of everywhere. Hospitality of Pietro was amazing. Building has a nostalgic elevator but it is very safe, do not afraid. Heating of the building is good. We were not cold in late january. But you should bring a pair of slippers for winter visits, floor is concrete and you definetly need them. Car park is just behind the building. Piero, the garagist, directed us to the garage by whatsapp video call :) You should left the car keys to let them arrange the parking lot. Do not hesitate, it is safe.

The host ^o^ The room was nice, we slept comfortably. Location is just a step away from many restaurants, including the bakery where we tried the 7 layers cake (we bought it 3 times). Also close to morning markets where we tried local foods.

When the heater was not on (I think it turns on automatically at certain time), the floor of the room was quite cold for me (I'm from tropical country), and I need to wear socks all the time or just stay on the bed. Bring your own slippers. Electricty kettle in the room would be nice for hot drink in winter (the door to the kitchen was locked so we don't know whether there are hot water in the kitchen, probably because when we were there, the covid-19 increased again and the public area was closed).
